Smudge argueing with Tards thinking they will say something good. The pain vs naruto fight was freaking great, i don't know wat they are talking about.

No, I'm breaking up the fights in to segments and making a review on how good/bad it was. As well as how it effected the overall scene.

The reason being is that plenty of fights are being mocked due to one or more errors kishi has made, or because people didn't read between the lines to discover hidden meaning behind his plot decisions.

As for arguing…. there is no point. Unless you can back up your arguments with evidence then people will just ignore your entire post and just focus on highlighting anything wrong, from spelling mistakes to grammar.

As for the Pain fight you can argue that the fighting itself was good, but the script and plot had faults at various intervals throughout. Breaking it down helps put across your point, as well as simplifies the conclusion of your post.

I already tried wat your doing Smudge. They don't like Naruto(I think becuase they still read it every week) and want to bash it. It's that simple.

Perhaps if you made a little more effort with your posts members would stop focusing on you spelling/grammar and focus on the content your trying to back up.

Anyway you still haven't answered my question:
Are Byakugan & Rinnegan effected by the Sharingans genjutsu?
(I should probably know but my mind has gone blank)

A Byakugan and Rinnegan clan member never fought a uchia. I also don't see why it wouldn't work. Pain got caught in genjutsu before.

Yes but that was a highly special trap by Jiraiya which would probably work on all three, plus it was made using sound waves not sight, And used two others two create it so it can't be used as a comparison.

As for the initial question, I asked due to the difference of vision having an effect on the jutsu. If lets say Neji was using his Byakugan would he still be susceptible to the Sharingans Genjutsu, despite him only seeing chakra flow?

Anyway I thought I may have forgotten the answer, but if it isn't known yet then there's no point speculating about it.

I was only referring to characters in Naruto. Mainly because we have had many occasions where characters were going to sacrifice themselves to win, yet always live. (chouji, neji, lee Etc) But in this case he knew without a shadow of a doubt that he'd die, and under the cause of his precious art, which deserves a bit a credit.

No, the six paths thing actually comes from religion, and ancient texts. Kishi got that one from research, not Reborn. And he's had illusion tactics the whole series, thats hardly unique to Pain. (and is in fact, one of my ongoing complaints… to recurring fake out hits.)

Also folks, while I have Juju on block, I am getting the gist from the people quoting him. Remember, he only posts in like, this one thread. He doesn't read any of the other boards here so he has no idea just how much we dissect OP, and call it out for bullshit when it pulls bullshit. (Let alone that we put Bleach, Fairy Tail, Negima, etc. through the exact same level of criticism AND praise, when they deserve it.) His only viewpoint is this one thread, where yes, Naruto gets insulted when it deserves it, which is SADLY, quite often.

I would, easily, trade the lulz of this entire thread to have Naruto back at the quality level it was in part 1. No hesitation, I would LOVE it if it reached that standard of quality and innovation again.

Also, that we hold OP in such a high regard that only makes us even HARSHER on it. When it slips even a little or does something odd, or Oda has a particularly bad chapter, we really call it on it. Naruto has just done it SO much for SO long, now… we just laugh and go "oh, what a stupid moment that was. You wacky Naruto manga."

I also like that JuJu ignores we've been seriously discussing the fights, WHY we think they were bad, and are totally on topic for a change.

Shame, as we've had Hinata and Pain but still no Sharingan user in the equation. Although I do have an interesting thought.

When Ao was at the Kage summit meeting he spotted the Danzo's Sharingan and was unaffected by looking at it. Which may suggest that a byukagan user maybe invulnerable to its effect.

Speaking about Deidara: if Kishimoto would bother and made Madara come up with a well thought through efficient and effective world domination plan, involving all of Akatsuki doing something useful rather than catching pokemons, Deidara could have been an intersting detail of it. Just think for a second: a human nuke. A little amount of psychological and situational control - and, for example, the camp of the gathered allied forces becomes a wasteland with wind blowing the dust away. And no perverted fanfic to undo the death of a thousands.

No, the only ones that actually died in the course of it were Kakashi, and Tsunade's assistant. Everyone else survived, including Hinata and Choji's dad.

If there were any civilian casualties, no real point was ever made of it.

We're actually pretty good about discussing it at length when its actually brought up seriously. Today is a pretty good example. If a couple people just made it a point to talk about the past glories or little intricacies, they'd get talked about and we'd be on topic more often.

That just happens so rarely anymore. PARTLY because all the old glories were talked to death, so all we're left with is the new screwups. But there's been enough turnover in members it might be possible to do it again now.

You should see what this place was like when I first came in here, I wrote such ESSAYS on how good the series could be and what it was doing right and wrong. DURING the Pain battle I wrote quite a lot. Then I pretty much gave up after the deus ex machina at the end.

But yeah, the thread was a lot better about staying on topic till Naruto "Believe it!" speeched Pain to death, and he resurrected the entire village, and that after a multi-month fight full of missed opportunities, wasted potential and outright bad moments. That really was the breaking point in consecutive bad to the point of no return.
