Oda keeps saying that he won't cram any deep messages into the manga, but chapter like this can only be written by a deep man. Seriously, my beloved comrades dying around me made me so happy, have you ever heard that somewhere else?
So Sengoku did nothing this chapter, what is that "here come the admiral" about? Is it a mystery? -
Has anyone explained why there are only 15 pages including the cover page for this chapter? This is most def not Oda's norm. I always love seeing him produce chapters with around 19 or so pages, give or take a page.

Ever since the Marineford arc started, a OP chapter was shorter than before. Guees the man is to busy with movie stuff. And if I remmber correctly, a chapter was finished 3 weeks before it's released. And the closer to the day 12/12, the busier he is.

Ace dying would be a very interesting development for the main character, and together with Newgate's death it would set up the stage for a terrific second half of the story. Ace living would force Oda to keep one of his worst characters (Not even a matter of opinion on this one. He's simply personality devoid) as a big figure in the story, and if we go by what you're suggesting, he'd be following a dream he will absolutely never accomplish (Inheriting Whitebeard's will and becoming the Pirate King). Him being a friendly rival to Luffy would be a horrible scenario I don't think even Oda could handle in a palatable manner.
That's a terrible argument to discuss a what if. "I don't think it'll happen so I'll randomly claim if it did the main character would act completely out of character and become an overemotional faggot".
"It seems that he may actually"? What? Whitebeard will die 100% for sure that was obvious like a year ago.
Yeah…no. This chapter's development is impossible to interpret that way, the way you're interpreting it is perfectly fine. However, if my theory is correct, we'll be getting more moments like this one until Ace ends up respecting his father for what he was and THEN he'll be ready to smile at the execution platform.
Unless Ace makes a new goal for himself, perhaps making his brother the pirate king

I feel that it's kind of weird that Marco could be hit from the back by Kizaru, but I'm guessing that there is a limit to Haki, and that everyone can only use a limited amount before they die. In addition, Haki can run out when you're tired. It's not the ultimate saving grace.
Anyway, the chapter title is probably meant to express Oda's appreciation of his fanbase constantly hounding him to let Luffy save the world, and Ace.
And, if Whitebeard had a heart attack in mid-battle, a hormone injection would make him drop dead. Dumb idea.
Ace hates his dad, but doesn't really want to destroy his glory. He's a whiner on the surface, but he's deeply touched by all the things his peers and relatives have done for him. I guess he really does respect his dad after all.
Next up, Luffy saves Ace but passes out. He's saved by another miracle.

I think the reason Marco got hit is because he's not a logia and he didn't expect it, so wasn't in pheonix form.

But Crocodile got hit by Luffy plenty of times when they fought the first time, and he didn't get hurt.
And Marco wasn't fully phoenix the first time we see his powers, when he shielded Kizaru's laser shower.
Maybe Crocodile expected getting hit, so he automatically held a logia form. But that doesn't explain Marco forgetting that he's in a friggin war.
Also, having Haki run out makes sense when you're as old a Whitebeard, or against the WG's greatest warriors.

I still cant suss how Buggy is going to do squat in this Arc. All the signs are pointing towards a mass fluke causing Buggy to be known round the world as a Legend, but I just cant fathom what.
(He will probably have gained fame already but I'm looking for the icing on the cake)Its possible his hands could be responsible for releasing Ace, although it seems far-fetched that he could pull it off without Sengoku noticing. So the answer is still elusive as ever.

His goal will be to avenge his old man i.e taking down Blackbeard. This won't be over until either the WB Crew are totally annhilated or BB is dead.

Just using Haki wouldnt be of much help, and a new Gear is obviously out of the question. I really have no idea what he could possibly do with his last strength.
If Luffy next chapter starts by yelling "GEAR FOURTH" I will be pissed, say lol, and read further

if luffy is gonna release haki next chapter, it will probably just make people stop (not faint) and then say some things that will inspire WB and company to fight on..
i doubt oda will make luffy hit a big shot with haki with the circumstances luffy is in right now (worn-out body, fighting since impel down, second tension hormones, etc)

Luffy will finally release his haki next chapter, and after this is all over, I predict that luffy will go into a deep sleep that will last around 6 months-1 year. When we finally awakes he will be surrounded by the SH crew.

Having 50 volumes lined up on your book case usually helps when trying to refresh your memory and Ace will not die. It'll just end up creating an awefully sad mood if he does in his current state and that is not what Oda wants. Ok if a character like Whitebeard has accepted his fate and is prepared for the consequenses, but when Ace seriously cries, saying that he doesn't want to die, if that then happens, it'd just go against all of the principals One Piece stands for.

i think its too early for Shanks and Luffy to meet i want that meeting to be under happier terms but Dragon i can see.. seeing as there are several revolutionary members already fighting as well as his son and a chance to take down the marines/WG.

While it's cool that you have 50 volumes on your shelf, anyone can read any chapter at will thanks to various manga sites. It's possibly easier since you can just jump directly to a given page in a given volume all from one drop-down menu.

Then it cuts to 6 months later, Luffy wakes up amongst the Straw Hats and is told that Doflamingo and/or Blackbeard now own their own little empires. What actually happened at Marineford won't be told for a while, and only bit by bit. Not an official prediction but just something that popped into my head.

Obviously roger has bring only trouble (people in aces flashback badmouthing Roger) whereas ace witnessed how great WB is.

Probably becuz Roger was a greater criminal in the eyes of the world than WB, because he was persuing information regarding the void century & he is credited for triggering the Golden age of Piracy.

i've asked this before, but i didn't get a straight answer…but why hasnt anyone found one piece? ESPECIALLY whitebeard...who was said to be the one closest to one piece...it seems luffy and them made more coverage of the sea than he has when gold roger declared the new age of pirates telling everyone to find one piece....
thats the only thing i do not understand
