We will see what sengoku has in his sleeve. Squalds betrayal helped the marines a lot but there has to be more. The world already saw that WB was stabbed. Now that the broadcasting stopped it's time to get real.
I think everyone is shitting their pants right now. Especially the front troops who will get mass pwned by WB. The strongest marines wouldn't have the urge to run away though :) That said Akainu is probably glad that WB isn't the power he used to be. Plus he is wounded while akainu is perfectly fine.

It's interesting that from all the characters present, Croc had the strongest emotional outburst.
And nice to see that Oda hasn't forgotten about Thunderlord MacGuy and Wild Knight Doma.
As I suggested in the spoiler thread, it's cool to see Croc react like that–the reaction Jinbei/Iva/Mr. 1 gave suggests that it's a little more than "you beat me, this pussy beat you, that sucks" sort of thing, and that maybe Croc has some shred of a sentiment of honor/respect for WB, and maybe only WB--and yeah, he's a merciless asshole, not some evil villain gone soft--but I thought it was very interesting. It'd be nice to get a flashback, even a tiny one, since we've assumed so much.
But Oda is masterful at this stuff. Ten, twenty chapters ago I wanted nothing more than BB to show up and stomp WB's face into ten million pieces. Now, I think I'll be sincerely saddened when WB kicks the bucket. Great time to take a break.

I don't think akainu is actually much more stronger than WB even if he is wounded. It would be too easy to kill WB if it actually was the case. What i was trying to say is that akainu aokiji or every other strong marine would have more confidence after what Squalds did.

What i expect is WB quaking the marines left and right sengokus plan failing and BB coming to help them. But whatever Oda planed it will surely surprise us :)

Buggy is more human that luffy for example. He is scared by big powers but yet clever enough to use every situation to make him appear strong. He lies he steals he hypes himself clearly well basically a pirate. Look at how he made it that far despite his flaws. You have to give him credits for it:)
Many can identify themselves with him. Same case as why usopp is also that popular besides being a SH.
about this chapter, im really saddened by all of this. WB declared that he will go down. perhaps before this stabbing incident, he was thinking of winning this war and returning to the new world with majority of his crew and allies safe. If Sengoku and Akainu were real people, im sure they'd die from all OP fans' punches by now

i know many have mentioned it in the spoiler thread and i thought of it aswell… what (and no please don´t bash or flame me or whatever) if croc is indeed WB son? i mean that would be a secret he wants to keep. i guess he wanted to take the lead but his father noticed that he is not capable of becoming pirate king, he is on the wrong way whatever... and so croc wanted to fight for it...wb defeated him and as a sign that croc is not capable he lost his arm...so i guess for a son it would be enough reason to keep some others shut their mouth and aswell it would be a reason for him to attack once again...just to show he got stronger and is now able to do it....
on the other hand it would be a lot of family development at the moment...BUT somewhere in my mind i can´t get rid of the idea...

WB was a pirate for decades. Which means there was enough time for his crew to get as big as it is now and make new allies like doma (ace defeating and befriending him).

Remember back at Luffy's village when Lucky Rous shot one of Higuma's underlings and the bandits cried unfair? Shanks replied something along the lines of "You are fighting pirates, not saints."
Kaidou wiped out Moria's crew. Now, Kaidou seems like a prick, what with trying to attack WB and all, but Moria was no innocent victim either.
So Roger wiping out Squard's men could simply have been Squard's crew getting outclassed by a freakishly strong crew in a pirate's battle.
I don't think Oda is going to kill Whitebeard, but he will be extremely hurt after the war and unable to go back to his live of piracy. He will stay at fishermans island to rest with Marco to "guard" him and Ace becomes the new captain of the Whitebeard pirates.
Whitebeard could then maybe make an epic return at the end of the series helping Luffy become pirate king.

whitebeard has the worlds strongest title but i don't think he deserves it anymore. the only way he would ever lose it was if somebody beat him in a fight which might happen soon. if whitebeard is beaten that does not mean whoever beats him then gets the title. it just means that whitebeard lost and is no longer deserving of that title. whitebeard has weakened since his prime and shanks has risen up the ranks to be on equal footing with whitebeard. the other 3 emperors must be of similar power to whitebeard even in his prime to be able to contend with him for all this time. even if whitebeard is past his prime i still think he has enough power to take out any admiral he wants. the emperors have to be much, much stronger than admirals in order for their power to mean anything.

Interesting chapter if I read the script correctly: it seems like that whether or not Ace died, the Marines either wanted to keep the balance of the Yonkou in check or keep an excuse of the power of pirates in the New World. At least Newgate isn't going to go down without a fight now.

I'm glad that after more than 10 years, Oda can still give his characters proper emotions while remaining true to his story. This is one of his true strengths in writing manga.
Whitebeard is so epic… well he is beyond epic!!! Now we will see his powers even if he isn't as strong as he was... But he still seems to be the top yonkou even if not as powerful as in the past... damn... that means Shanks isn't at Roger/WB prime level.

We have no idea how that clash between WB&Shanks ended. WB could have been knocked on his ass for all we know. If they were still equal like it seemed before the scene switched then lets remember Shanks has only one arm. He's not in optimal condition either. Please don't bring up the data book for an obvious reason.

About the Buggy issue, I like the character when he is acting like the loser he is. This "Mr. Satan" stuff is getting a bit tiresome.
