Maybe the much hated Jar Jar will cross pathes with the Sith villain, and he'll be force choked to death, with some force lightning thrown in there for good measure.
Honestly, Anakin Skywalker pissed me off a lot more than Jar Jar ever could.
Honestly, Anakin Skywalker pissed me off a lot more than Jar Jar ever could.
Episode 3 Anakin was okay IMO, first two, ugh.
Jar jar was annoying all rou d even in the clone wars series, where as Matt Lanter made Anakin way more likeable
I'm only talking about the movies since i don't know much of the other stuff like TV-shows. Although there was a Cartoon-Clone Wars Series a few years back that was really nice.
Jar Jar was a nuisance in the first movie (which of course had much bigger problems than him), but he was a side character while Anakin was a main character in 2 whole movies. And i just did not like him at all. So much wasted potential …
Though i agree he was worse in AotC.
Christopher Miller and Phil Lord to Helm Han Solo Anthology Film
The duo behind The LEGO Movie will direct an early tale of the smuggler-turned-hero, with a screenplay by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan.
The next adventure in the Anthology series of Star Wars films will be directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, whose credits include the critically acclaimed The LEGO Movie and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, as well as 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street. Among the most sought-after filmmakers working today, the two have proven a formidable duo on the multiple films they’ve collaborated on and are looking forward to applying their unique creative chemistry to the Star Wars universe.“This is the first film we’ve worked on that seems like a good idea to begin with. We promise to take risks, to give the audience a fresh experience, and we pledge ourselves to be faithful stewards of these characters who mean so much to us. This is a dream come true for us. And not the kind of dream where you’re late for work and all your clothes are made of pudding, but the kind of dream where you get to make a film with some of the greatest characters ever, in a film franchise you’ve loved since before you can remember having dreams at all.”
The screenplay is written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan. The story focuses on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley.
Lawrence Kasdan, the writer and director known for Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Big Chill, and Grand Canyon, is familiar to Star Wars fans for having co-written the screenplays for The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and The Force Awakens. His son Jon Kasdan wrote and directed The First Time, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and In the Land of Women, as well as writing for the television series Freaks and Geeks and Dawson’s Creek.
“We’re so excited to be working with Chris and Phil, who will bring a fresh new dimension to the Star Wars universe,” said the Kasdans. “They’re two of the smartest, funniest and most original filmmakers around, and the ideal choice to tell the story of Han Solo, one of the coolest characters in the galaxy.”
Kathleen Kennedy, who will be producing, says she can’t wait to discover what’s in store from these two extraordinary teams of directors and writers.“It’s not just any filmmaker who can tell the story of such a beloved icon like Han Solo, and I’m excited to say we’ve found the perfect team to handle the task. Larry and Jon know all there is to know about the character, and Chris and Phil will bring their wit, style, energy and heart to tell Han’s story.”
Slated for a May 25, 2018 release, the film will be executive produced by Lawrence Kasdan and Jason McGatlin and co-produced by Will Allegra.
Sounds cool. Wonder who they'll get to play Han? Anthony Ingruber already played a young Ford in Age of Adaline and he definitely looks the part
Don't know how good of an actor the guy is, though.
Promo poster for D23 kinda spoilery

Yeah. I definitely see how the poster's kinda spoilery.
! I hope the cast isn't too full of force-users.

I also really like the look and outfits of the Rogue One crew even though I have no idea what the movie is. The only thing I may like more is as I heard someone else say, it might be good to at least have an alien on the crew as well.
Can you write a plot just with references?

I'm sure he will uh… find a way
I meant Star Wars references, actually.
Instagram teaser. I'm expecting a new trailer within a week.
!
Also, Star Wars: Rebels season 2 will start airing on October 14th.
Is Rey the main character? From the stuff i read and watched it certainly seems like it.
! Especially if Leia and Han are Rey parents which at this point would be more of a surprise is she isn't theirs.

I think everyone assumes that Finn will be the main, but to answer the question…we have no idea.

Really? Not the impression i've got from leaks and concept art.
I don't read leaks trying to avoid those like the plague, but from the looks of the 3 trailers, Finn is all over them.
Just my opinion though.

Wish i had your patience hoping some off the stuff i've read is not true. Have you just watched the trailers?

I have watched the trailers and I watch Collider Jedi Council. THey do a good job of giving you all the news while not getting into spoilers.
I stay up to date on news, but anything related to spoilers, leaks or potential spoilers I run like the plague.

Looks like the fandom has been fooled once again by J.J misdirection. Just started watching that myself pretty good.

Eh, sorry, but I'll believe it when I see it.
This is once again not a press release from Disney and/or Fox, it's a "Ermahgerd gais, we heard that someone else heard that a guy said that he talked to George Lucas and we're TOTALLY GETTING THE UNCUT MOVIES GUYS!!"
It could be true….. but I HIGHLY doubt it. We've been hearing this rumor pop up occasionally for almost two decades since the "Special Editions" were first a thing. It'll never happen sadly.
If Disney accomplishes this, then I pray they will someday release the original, untouched 'A Muppet Family Christmas'.
That would mean Disney and Fox would have to play ball somehow…that's a tall order given their history with each other.
Official poster is up and trailer tomorrow during MNF well Tuesday for me since I live in the UK.
Is that…another Death Star?
Is that…another Death Star?
It's a Planet weapon called Starkiller that can apparently destroy solar systems.
It's a Planet weapon called Starkiller that can apparently destroy solar systems.
So a giant Sun Crusher then.
Ugh, that doesn't bode well.

So they had to go and one up the death star by creation g a weapon that prolly makes stars go supernova…...
What'll be the new Alderaan I wonder?
And naturally there will be a weak spot where a single blast can make everything go Kaboom.

Does it have a bunch of bottomless pits without guardrails?
Who am I kidding? Of course it does.

I'm assuming he didn't FIRE ANYONE for making the ship like that.

Well, it was pretty much Trek Wars after all.

I'm assuming he didn't FIRE ANYONE for making the ship like that.
Wasn't it supposed to be a mining ship that was fused with a Borg cube for some reason?
It's a Planet weapon called Starkiller that can apparently destroy solar systems.
didn't the empire learn their lesson after the second Death Star was destroyed?
i guess it didn't stick.
So do you think the way Rey and Kylo are aligned holds any significance?
didn't the empire learn their lesson after the second Death Star was destroyed?
Don't put all your commanders on one ship?
Because they DID learn their lesson. They had the second Death Star covered by a shield. And they presumably fixed the 2 meter design flaw, the station just wasn't done yet when it was attacked. Operational, but not finished.
Now, from a narrative standpoint, its pretty weak to be repeating that, AGAIN, even if the scale is upped, because that's boring. But in-universe it's fine.
We didn''t stop making boats just because the Titanic sunk. We didn't stop making carriers just because of Pearl Harbor. One or two successful attack doesn't full scale stop you from doing something that should normally work, once you fix what went wrong before.
Well, between this and the rumors about the resurrection of Darth Vader, any optimism I may have had for this movie is starting to diminish.
What with the return of Han, Luke and Leia, a new moon-base superweapon, a dark-robed red lightsaber wielding evil jedi villain commanding an army of stormtroopers, and the good guys being a "Resistance" of X wing pilots…this is starting to look veeeeeery wink wink fanservice heavy. Like a "Star Wars: Greatest hits" compilation.
Who is the Main Character of the movie again?
Main character is either Rey (the girl) or Finn (the black guy), but I don't think we will truly know who the main character is of the trilogy until the end of the first movie. But… The rumor right now is that it's
! Rey. Who is also going to be the main Jedi of the trilogy.
Don't put all your commanders on one ship?
don't build a massive super weapon capable of destroying whole worlds, only to have your enemies blow it up and make you look stupid in front of the whole galaxy.
