Yes, it does. If strength progression didn't have a limit and worked the same for every character power levels would be completely out of hand and way beyond what we've seen of the top tier characters. I don't see how you can disagree with something so evident. And again, I don't get what the fuck you're trying to get at with that 1 to 40 shit, it's got nothing to do with what I'm saying. And like I said, my point is that Shanks and Whitebeard are static characters that do not ascend significantly in the power hierarchy anymore. It seems to me that it's you who doesn't know what I'm talking about.

Blah, Oda is just simply hyping up Jozu by having him block MiHawk's slash so as to let us the readers know how strong WB's commanders are. I thought it was way obvious that in the next chap or so, MiHawk will either be able to find a way to cut diamond or maybe he already knew that technique to cut diamond, just that he didn't expect a diamondman to appear when he was aiming that slash at WB. That was a $%$^^ huge slash and I think it's unfair to MiHawk to dethrone his seat as the top/second top Shichibukai just because of his scene with Jozu. But I must add that the strength of Shichibukai is still pure speculation…who knows, Moria could have owned the strawhats the same way Kuma did back then.

The lost arm scene had nothing to do with power levels in that respect. Being strong doesn't make your flesh stone, and that scene was mostly for dramatic purposes, and in no way indicates that Shanks was weak in that time. Something we DO know is that in that very scene Shanks was adept at using this Ambition/Haki/Whatever thing we've been informed TOP TIERS USE.

That Ace change of goal happened three years before the present story. That's nineteen years of not becoming the Pirate King, while still being the strongest man in the world. Weak arguments, Mr.ShittyVillainCP9.

I'm not exactly sure of the current topic…but I think that WhiteBeard is definately weaker than he was when Roger died. I also think Shanks is much stronger and will only continue 2grow. I think that Rayliegh most likely got weaker as well but I think that he had 2hav surpassed even Roger at one point after Roger's death. And as goofy as Sengoku looks...I think he mayB the Mightiest char in OP at the moment.

Thanks Sanigo and Juju for speaking common sense to Jadosra. Anyway Jadosra my pt was that there's nothing that says Shanks got stronger in the ten years that have past. Now the reasons other than that fact that lead me to believe he hasn't got stronger has to do with a few things.

First I think that the NW has a tentative balance thats maintained by the Yonkou's power over their territories that divide the NW up, so I would imagine the only thing that keeps each Yonkou from taking territory from one another is that they all are likely close in power so any attempt on the turf of any of the others is deterred by the high casualties the attacking Yonkou may receive to gain anymore territory. This is backed by the fact that as soon as it was clear that WB would possibly be vulnerable while trying to save Ace that's when Kaidou decided to make his move. So unless every Yonkou is gaining strength equally over the same time frame I doubt they could keep any balance and if that were the case then they'd constantly be fighting each other in turf wars, which would make them all vulnerable to the marines as an outside 3rd party.

However I doubt they could all be gaining strength because I'm fairly certain that WB has been losing power as he has been aging, he may have been a lot stronger in his Roger fighting days and his rep and crew are what keep the other Yonkou in check.

Lastly, I don't think Shanks has gained any strength not only because of his arm but also that the way that someone usually would get stronger is to fight someone who can give them a challenge, having lost Mihawk as someone he can duel who else would there be? Lastly, had Shanks gained a lot of strength as those that think he became a Yonkou in the last decade believe, then I imagine he of all people would know that he has gotten stronger, and if he had then I doubt that he'd make such a big deal over a scar that BB gave him before the supposed "power up" he even went so far as to point out that BB didn't sneak attack him, so that's why I think he's been roughly the same strength for 10+ years.

Then that just means that WB is the same as before, it doesn't affect my point that the Yonkou likely haven't gained strength. I never said Shanks got weaker just that he hasn't gotten stronger.

shanks probably wouldn't be yonkou anymore if he didn't find a way to make up for his priced left arm -guess he trained his right arm some more and got a small brainfuzz from switching from lefty. not that he wasn't idiotic and alcoholdamaged enough before though…

Huh? Garp's shirt is black, the dog's shirt is white. Garp's tie is white while the dog's tie is black. I don't get how does it has to do with the fact that the manga is black and white, when you can see the colors are different.
