There's no reason why we'd want this to be done quickly, it's fun so let's take our time. From what I understand, the matches were basically decided by pulling the names out of a hat.

I asked that question earlier. There will be 127 total matches, and the last two rounds (3 matches) will be 2 day matches. Also, there may be a day off between some of the rounds. Therefore, the whole tournament should last a little over 4 months.

I want to point out some interesting things about the 2nd round. Garp/Lucci will wind up facing Pandaman probably. Coby/Apoo vs Sanji/Laboon. Nami/Drake vs Chopper/Stronger. Hancock/Bonney vs Alvida probably. Luffy gets Spandam now, and his next match will be against Igaram or Duval LOL. BB/Tashigi vs Jango probably. Croc/Vivi vs Merry/Kuro. Bon Clay vs Hannyabal is likely. And if Banchi's luck wasn't bad enough, Zoro/Banchi vs Kuma/Ace

I'm under the assumption we'll get a bracket system. The top pair vs the 2nd pair, etc. The third round would be the top 4 against the 2nd 4, and so forth.

i think the winners of the first round should then be randomized for the match-ups of the second round… it will be more of a surprise that way. Much more interesting. after the character count has been halved, then brackets could be made.

i'm excited for the Van Auger VS Alvida match. That will be interesting. Assuming people will actually vote for who they think would really win that fight. But either way it will be a tough one.

Not as tough as Paulie vs Beckman! Really good match-up for that.

But I think the BEST matchup is Jango vs Hogback hands down!
