I always wondered how in the hell he could jump into that vault of coins without suffering a fatal brain injury.
Shit now I want to watch that Duck Tales movie about the mummy's curse or whatever!

He's one tough son-of-a-bitch, that's how.
Transvaal or Yukon Scrooge could take the Heartless by himself.
This speaks for itself.

You mean the magic lamp? I actually have that one~
This game looks cool. Definentally going to check into it!

Man, I love Don Rosa's work. If I recall correctly, he had Mickey Mouse as one of the people lying around unconscious later on.
Of course, for badass moments, nothing, but nothing beats the bit on the steamship in the Yukon chapter. Scrooge fighting the Army with Fort Duckburg itself is pretty high up there as well.
Of course, that bit where he creams that Mountie who is trying to arrest him is up there as well, but that wasn't actually collected in that volume.
I found the whole volume on eMule recently, and I'm only a little ways into it. I think I'm a bit before the Yukon chapters.
Somehow I have a feeling that Scrooge's role is something really lame like LOL KING MICKEY'S CASTLE TREASURER.

Oh, man. Then you haven't seen nothing yet. Wait until you get to the Transvaal and see who pops up or, better yet, the next-to-last chapter. There was a section in there that completely and totally caught me off guard.

Probably so as they'll probably use the infinitely lamer Ducktales version of him. Rosa's version would have slapped the hell out of him for being such a colossal wuss.
The ending movie is SWEET.
There's alot of new keyblades, too. And I heard that in Timeless River (Steamboat Willy), that there's old-timey music, and old projector effects.
Yeah,there is.
They managed to recreate those old fuzzy films in 3D.
Scrooge!!! Happiness Overload!!!
Damn this is sweet. And as a fellow Don Rosa fan I agree wholeheartedly with Ubiq and Capn' Carter, and would like to point out the Bluff city Showdown, and return of Yukon Scrooge in that dream story, as back-up evidence.
Oh, and congrats on the purchase Carter, you're in for a treat.

Not to mention Sora and the crew are old-style, too.
Oh, and since Vivi appeared in KH2, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of FF9 characters appearing in further KH titles. Anyone agree?

Forgetting Setzer now are we?
More FF6 characters.
Oooops.
Sorry, I'm not really into FF6.
I think they use a little too much FF7 in it. I mean, it's popular, but…bleh.

Sadly, I didn't buy it. I wanted to, but I couldn't find it in any of the bookstores around here. I was able to find the whole thing in a .rar, though.
And I read through the Transvaal and Pizen Bluff last night. Scrooge taking on all those animals was awesome.

Sadly, I don't have the Pizen Bluff comic; the only section of it I've seen was the single frame from it in the collected volume of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck in Rosa's notes on the chapter. He also made a chapter zero that explained how the dime wound up in Scotland that I haven't read yet.
Nor have I read The Old Castle's Secret or A Letter From Home, which is also part of the Life and Times. On the other hand, I do have both Back to the Klondike and The Last Dog Sled to Dawson, the latter of which is also awesome. Despite being written well before TLToSMD, it provides a great wrapup to the whole Soapy Slick saga.
The only other major works by Rosa that I haven't read (that I know of at any rate, damn Disney) are his stories dealing with Plain Awful and "His Majesty McDuck".
Hmm… here's a list of the various things Rosa has done.
Damnation, but there's a lot of stuff by Rosa that I haven't read about Scrooge and this list only runs through 2003.
Of particular interest are:
The Cowboy Captain of the Cutty Sark - Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, chapter 3b
The Sharpie of the Culebra Cut - Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, chapter 10b
Holy Moly, Paine is in it <3 I now have a reason to buy this game
Hoo ha!
Scroodge!
I haven't reached that part yet,though….

Aren't you farther than I?
That's right in Hollow Bastion, the first world you can access.
If Scrooge fights by your side, I'll buy the game.

Likewise. That would be… awesome. (b-_-)b

Some jackass made that spoiler on Movie Tome, but I really don't care about HP.

Some good choices there, the humour in those two are exceptional. "His majesty" (relatively!) isn't that great, and if you were to pick just one of those stories, I'd make it "A letter from home". It actually isn't part of L&T, it's the sequel to "crown of the crusader kings, and it's one of his very best, and most emotional.
Though my favourite will always be the one he did for Scrooges' 50 year anniversary, followed by "quest for Kalevala"
I've never heard of the "chapter Zero" one before…is it the one where Magicia Despell (or whatever her english name is) goes back in time?
Yes, and she tries to get the dime before Scrooge does. But she realizes that if Scrooge doesn't get the dime, it won't be his first earned coin and it will thus be useless to Magica. Then she gives it to Scrooge.
Ah ok, I love that one! The scene where Scrooges dad chases her is pricelesss…but not as priceless as when sheshakes Donalds hand in "the treasury of Croesus.

Those haven't been collected in a volume yet have they? I wonder when they'll get around to it.

I don't know that either of them have been published in the US as of yet. They might have been; Disney comics are hard to find in the US anymore and have been since Disney's own imprint went under.

Is the first one titled "A Little Something Special" or something along those lines?
It's hard to pick a favorite… maybe A Return to Xanadu if only for the line the High Lama. Of course, the Beagles using that crackpot inventor's rayguns on the Money Bin was a great issue too.
ZOMG Kingdom Hearts 2 pwns so much.
I've been playing it since yesterday… it is soooo awesome.... too bad I don't know Japanese....

Not that I know of…but they've already made two "Don Rosa: Hall of hame", so theres a chance they'll make more. Are there other kinds of volumes besides them and Life and times?

I wouldn't know… I'm surpirsed actually; seeing as how he's an american, I always figured you got his stories first. But "a letter from home" was published here two years ago, so you should see it soon, hopefully.

Yup, that's the one. The Beagles' mafunctioning disguises crack me up every time.

Yeah, those are great…but personally, I prefer the Beagles infiltration of the Bin, where each and every one of them gets trapped by the bin itself  !
Played about 2 hours last night. It's pretty cool. I was so happy to see Setzer.
@The:

Well, they have four or five books of Rosa's stuff in the magazine sized format available on the Gemstone/Gladstone/Bruce Hamilton Collection website that have two or three long stories each in them. Outside of those, I don't know of any.

Nope, Disney comics have all but fallen off of the face of the map in the US compared to the exposure they receive in Europe. Bruce Hamilton and company were doing a great job back in the '80s with Gladstone, such a great job that Disney created its own label, which largely ignored people like Gottfriedson, Barks, Rosa, van Horn, Taliaferro, and Daan Jippes at first. They also alienated Rosa and his colleagues with some of their business practices to the extent that they worked for Egmont instead. Their imprint only lasted a couple of years before it completely imploded. They gave the license to publish their comics back to Gladstone, but it was never really the same again.

I've always been a big fan of the Beagles; it's really amazing that Carl Barks was actually able to give a few of them distinct personalities despite their identical appearance.
It's been a while since I really sat down and read them, but I used to be able to pick out which one was which by the way they talked.
Anyone roughly know the estimated date for the US?
It's gonna come out in March.
Has anybody else beaten this game yet?
The ending is sweet.
Hell, the entire last level is sweet!
according to gamespot it will be released march 30th. but it doesn't matter because i reserved it . i can tell im gonna love this game. and i just wonder what setzer is gonna look like. but kingdom hearts will never be complete to me until i get to fight kefka.
edit: now that i think about it. anyone got screenshots of setzer?

well i just saw the picture and well this is about all i can say

Holy Shit!!
and theres a couple things in an amv that get me excited about this game. 1 is the fact that it has hades again. and another is a little clip at the end where theres a familiar scene. for those who have seen lord of the rings return of the king.
For those of you who have beaten number 2, I don't want spoilers just a simple yes or no answer. From the looks of the ending to 2 does it look like a 3rd one will come out or not?

I have not beaten it yet, but I read about a secret ending that is sort of like a preview.
Oh man, I'm watching a cutscene, and Fujin is voiced by Kazuya Nakai! He sounds almost exactly like Zoro!
@Senshi:

Yea. I like to call him Zoro with a cold.
Wait… I always thought Fujin was a girl?
Oh yeah.
We meant Raijin. Sorry bout that.
Wow, two voice actors from One Piece are in the Japanese version: Hiroki Hirota as Jack Sparrow, and Kazuya Nakai as Raijin. I would'nt be surprised if Kappei Yamaguchi was in it, too.
