what's the password for waryas??
Yes, the "mms://waryas.ath.cx/live" link is asking for a password, are you aware of what it is, by any chance? It would be quite nice if you shared that.
Haha.. Both links aren't working for me. Shitty.
me too - looks like it's keyhole for me :(
Chrono Trigger commercial. noice.
and yeah… links not working. Keyhole is fine though
Thats strange the Stream link was working fine last week
Well well Keyhole time
No idea what Keyhole is.
Can someone link me?
Well, last week i had to use Keyhole too, because of massive lag problems with the stream. Not too surprised i have to use it again.
Guyz I really don't know how to use keyhole!I can't login!Well I searched for the problem and some one said to close my firewall but I already have and still I can't login!
Can someone help?
Anyone else lose sound on Keyhole?
Edit: Got things running on sopcast.
Fascinating how many different versions of Bink's Sake were produced. Everytime they have another set of instuments. I wonder how the final performance will sound. The end was so sad. They say goodbye to Laboon, and in the next scene 3 years later everybody is dead.
That episode only covered a little more than half a chapter. Wtf!?

They're trying to stretch the arc out a little more so they can let more chapters come out >> Though next episode sounds like it will finish the flashback, or I hope so. I'm not a big fan of this flashback, though I would like to see the final scene, as that was really good.
well looks like im not watching this ep

you're honestly not missing much. Just what sounds to be a track of cute unidentifiable animal noise #74, repeating on a loop.
Ack, Keyhole started being a PoS for me so I couldn't watch it. Welp, looks like I'm D/L'ing Vegard's sub tomorrow. (not that I don't but….)
Haha, the Pandaman pirates:

Raw is up on Veoh now.
I liked the episode. It was funny, cute, and touching. XD Baby Laboon is just so darn cute it's not even funny. XD And seeing Crocus again…even in his youth, is so nostalgic. Next week's episode looks like it's gonna be tear jerking. I can't wait. ^^
Just saw the episode. Well, I guess it could have been worse, but it could also have been a LOT better. The fact that they didn't even cover the full chapter was pretty annoying…

Decent episode…Next week looks really good.
I think the second Luffy looks WAY better, but I don't know about the second Dragon, his grin looks kind of awkward.

whoops. my mistake, the full teeth grin is the new one :P I'll change it
Then the tweaks were for the better, I think.

I agree. If you can find more in the OP, please share them. I've seen this done many times before, on different series. It's good they do this, since the OP is something that's seen week after week, so it should look good.
I actually like the old shot of Luffy better… The shading just looked a lot better, plus I preferred the angle on that one.
Oh, and about my vague statement about the episode earlier... I take it back. This episode sucked. The next one had better be better. (That... Sounded slightly awkward.)
Gear 2nd Luffy was completely redrawn, and it seems Katsumi Ishizuka's style now..i agree, it's much better.

On second thought, I take that back too. Upon looking at it in motion, the new one looked better. Too bad they still haven't changed any of the scenes that I thought looked bad to begin with, though… (The shot of the crew running along the beach had several characters drawn in a somewhat crappy way, if you ask me... Same goes for Franky's face at the start of the opening.)

If you ask me, they should redraw his eyecatch. He needs to look more like the cool cat he is. :P
As long as the next episode has
! Brook descending into madness I'll be satisfied.

As far as I know, it'll cover the rest of the flashback, as well as the song we're all dying to hear.

I second that.
It's a huge part of his character, if they don't show it I say we all go to Japan to kick Toei's ass. XD
Anyway. I have mixed feelings about this episode. I enjoyed it (after all, I've been waiting for it ever since Brook's flashback was shown in the manga XD), and apart from a few awkward panels the drawings and animation were decent. The pacing confused me though- why didn't they keep all that we had seen in chapter 487? To make episode 380 even more tragic? The chapter worked well in the manga, here it looks like they tried to stretch out everything.
However, I am pleased by the fact they managed to make a pretty shocking end. Overall episode feels less sad than the manga, but the end really made me go "… oh" (even though I knew what was about to happen)... especially since we had just seen the Rumbars pirates, cheerful, waving at Laboon saying that they'd come back in a matter of a few years. And then... Florian Triangle.
Oh, and I thought the still images with the Rumbars entering Grand Line were pretty cool XD anyone knows what music was playing during that part? And talking about music, Brook playing Black Handkerchief of Happiness cracked me up very much. XD POWER TUNE!
Can't wait for next episode. Maybe I should buy a box of tissues. XD

I think the reason they didn't change that is because it's not as easy to replace moving scenes like that as it is for still shots like the other two. Then again, I don't know shit about that kind of stuff.
I just noticed a few more changes in the opening:

But the Gear Second-scene isn't a still frame. You can see some subtle angle-changes and camera-movements from frame to frame, and I've always assumed that animations like those are some of the hardest things to get right… I mean, change too little, and it wouldn't even be noticable. Change too much, and it would just look choppy and bad, kinda like the Going Merry-shot in the third opening. Of course, I'm no animator, (Okay, I have made Flash-movies, but that's hardly the same) but that's the impression I get, anyway.
I just noticed a few more changes in the opening:
- Wind is moving Luffy's hair now (right before the One Piece logo)
- Added footsteps in the sand
- Luffy's face when he jumps toward the screen was redrawn. btw, the other Straw Hats too
- Old characters in the background has way more vibrant colors
- Zoro's shirt has a new detail
The thing on the back of his shirt was always there, they just forgot it during the running scene at the chorus. It's shown when they run past the old characters.
The footsteps were there too, but they're more pronounced now.
And yes they redid Luffy's face during the jump part.
The footsteps were barely visible, and it was just a few..
Actually, i was rewatching the previous opening and the thing on Zoro's back wasn't there at all..
The only thing I liked about the episode was that Brook sounded like he was going nuts with his morning song>v<. I want an MP3 of that. Kid Laboon was cute, but I wish that they used an actual voice actress instead of a baby chicken and a piece of rubber and/or plastic. Young Crocus was awesome, brought back good memories.
Wellwell. Decent episode. I wasn't really bored, but it all felt kindof slow. But considering next epiosde most likely is going to be 1 chapter and a half, and contain a full version of "that song," I'm okay with this episode being like this. While most of this one was pretty meh, I loved the beginning and the ending.
Yeah, I noticed the redrawn bits in the opener too. Too bad this means that they plan on keeping this monstrosity around for a while…
I didn't think it was possible to cover only half a chapter in twenty four minutes. I guess they wanted to get the sunshine and daisies part of Brook's past out of the way in one sitting before moving on to the gloom and doom portion.
Yeah, I noticed the redrawn bits in the opener too. Too bad this means that they plan on keeping this monstrosity around for a while…
Exactly my thought. I must say I hoped we'd get a new opening as soon as Brook officially joined, but if they bothered redrawing all this it must mean they're planning on keeping it… gah.
I mean, the pictures are nice (except for the fact it definitely needs more Brook, because 2 seconds is NOT enough for an end-of-Thriller-Bark opening), but that version of We Are is just downright awful. I wish they ahd made a second straw-hat version, but with Franky and Brook added in. :/
Oh well, I guess I'll just wait patiently until they make a new one, even if I have to wait several months for that. This one won't stay FOREVER.
I wish they'd used an actual voice for Laboon… the same 3 clicks and whistles got old after a while... particularly since when reading the manga I always assumed that Laboon was ALSO singing the Bink's Sake song, but in whale sound. That would have been incredibly endearing. Also thought they'd play the actual song more, but so it goes. I realize they have a limited budget and we already have like 3 versions of Binks Sake going on, but...
But still... the whale, INCREDIBLY cute.
The previews of the next episode looks to cover the next chapter and a half. And since that chapter has a lot of half second scenes that would be harder to expand on than the lengthy scenes in this episode, hopefully they paced it that way so that next episode can be almost no filler at all. And so that its "the laboon episode" followed by the "sad" episode.
Brooke's 45 degrees! better be in there.
And I really hope the final version of Bink's Sake is amazing. Its already damn catchy and they have 3 or 4 versions of it now, so it can go fast, slow, upbeat or downbeat, piono or violin, solo or chorus... the full out death rattle version had BETTER be great. Sound and music is the one major advantage the animation has over the manga, and this is just one of the things they REALLY need to nail. If they do it right... the way the manga has it where its intersperced wit that strawhats joyfully singing against the dirge version for Brooke's crew... it should be amazing. Here's hoping.
(Or just play the sad dying version juxtaposed agains silent but happy strawhats, that would be amazing too.)
This opening is called "We Are ~ 10th anniversary version", whoever thought it wouldn't last long were just fooling themselves..more than likely it'll run for all of 2009 (till October?), when the anime is completing 10 years airing.
Laboon's 'whale' sounds are really annoying.
