What this guy said, except that they've been calling them Ponegliff's since the term was introduced in Alabasta. It's right up their with Elbaph but I think Elbaph is just shitty translating with the whole 'fable' being spelled backwards theme, while Ponegliff doesn't really impede on anything even if it's a strange word choice.
-
English: 1-38, Colorwalk 1
Japanese: 1-56, Yellow Data bookMan, I hope they continue doing the Colorwalks in English. The Data books would be ideal, as well.

If you're interested in buying more international releases, Archonia.com has them in French, German and Dutch.
-
Heh, all I've got are Vols. 1-38 in English. I don't think I'd mind picking up some of the later Colorwalks or the Strong World artbook if they ever come out in English, though.
-
Well hopefully VIZ will give us that. Since it doesn't take much translation and editing on their part. If not, then I'll just find the original Colorwalks and Strong Worlds in Japanese.
-

Just got Vol 4-6 omnibus and vol 36 at borders
seems 36 is wrapped in plastic so it seems the Sanji sticker might be in that one -
I have 1-50 something (whichever has Magellan and the prison breakers on it) in Japanese.
-
I have 1-33 in english.
I WOULD have 34-38 by now, but whoever is in charge of shipping has decided to play a joke on the Borders I work at and is only shipping one volume a week out of order. Last Tuesday, we got about ten copies of ONLY volume 37, and then today we finally got in copies of 34 and 35.
36 and 38 are still AWOL, so I don't know what the hell is going on at the store (we even got a nice One Piece display case last week that we can't even put out because we don't have all the volumes that go with it).
-
I have volumes 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 33, 35, 37, 38, and Color Walk 1 from VIZ. I'm just randomly collecting volumes with my favorite events and arcs since I know what happens from beginning to today. I'll get them all soon.
-
ENG: 1-38 color walk 1
jap: red blue and soon color walk 4 to -
I have a question for all the people who like to pop in here to complain about character names.
People have been complaining about name choices like "Marshall D. Teech" and the like because it's "Supposed to be 'Teach' like his namesake". That complaint kinda makes sense, even though it's perfectly within Oda's power to change up the spelling.
Now, I see people make that complaint, but then I see many of the same people turn around and complain about Doflamingo's name.
They "Changed" it from:
"Donquixote Doflamingo" to "Don Quixote Doflamingo"
The "change" is to take the exact same name and just add a space. This "change" is very slight and makes the name EXACTLY THE SAME as his namesake, the same complaint people make about why Blackbeard's name should be "Teach".So, why do people make this complaint? Is it just "That's not what the fansubs/scanlations did so it's wrong"? Or is there some big thing that I'm missing?
-
Got my tax return yesterday and picked up 31 - 38.
I've read up to 33– I forgot how funny the Davy Back Fight stuff was.
"Wow! His inner soul brother is on fire!"
Though the inconsistency regarding Robin's crew-occupation-names is odd as it only happens a few times. (She seems to never call Luffy "Captain" and there was a Nami slip in there somewhere.)
At least they've stopped Zoro and Sanji calling each other by their names. (Though there was one slip-up during the Groggy Ring Match) Or was that something that started during this arc?
-
I have:
German: 1-53,Red,Blue,Yellow,Wanted
English:Omnibus 1+2(So Vol.1-6),24,26,31-33, Color Walk(Its cheaper in America than Germany xP) -
Judging from the May issue Jump tagline ("Prison Break!") One Piece shall once again dawn the cover of Shonen Jump.
Hope they use a good image.
*Right Stuf finally shipped some of my volumes, but it was only 33, 34, and 36 and my entire order consisted of 32-38
-
I picked up volumes 33-37 yesterday at Borders, they didn't have 38 in although I'm sure my wallet was already weeping enough that day. I'm liking how everything coming together so far, I've finished reading 33 & 34 and haven't really had much to complain about; although I did have one small question. Is there any reason that Chopper refers to himself as a sailor after being lost to the Foxy Pirates in the DBF? Was that how he worded it in the original Japanese or was it just a bad translation? Zoro also goes on to berate him using sailor opposed to pirate, I was just curious of the original wording.
@Brad:
Ahhhh, I remember when my bookshelf looked like that. Now it looks like this (and that's excluding all the stuff I have put away!):
!
-
Just finished filling in all the gaps up to Volume 33 and I got Volume 38 since I put that on an order that wont get here until mid-April most likely. It also means that I will be able to give out Volumes 30, 32, and 38 on future podcast episodes.
myogatheflea: Awesome collection!
-
Thanks Zach! Those are the series that I consider the creme of the crop, all of them are damned classics in my book especially RuroKen. The rest of my stuff sits in a box in my closet hahaha!
-
I have Color Walk 1, and 1-33 Viz volumes. I would have volumes 34-38, but rightstuf has yet to ship them to me. -_-

I found that odd as well. Maybe it was a translation choice of the editor of that particular volume?
Either way it bugged me.

Oh, that's just my One Piece shelf. I have another one for my other stuff. Soon enough I'll have yet another shelf dedicated just to Dragon Ball.
I still need to pick up all the JoJo, Zelda and Yotsuba volumes I'm missing.

We're manga fans. We have the compulsion to complain about every little thing that isn't exactly like the Japanese version, durr.
-
I've only seen one person complain about that and he pretty much complained about everything.
