Art looks….lame somewhat, but they're using the first line-up so here's hoping it'll be good.

New Avengers animated series announced

Lame really doesn't really describe it…its more like...crap...
Lols Ironman just looks plain funny
-
Reminds me of TF Animated for some reason…
Why does Wasp have a goth face? O_o -
The spectacular spiderman pictures also looked like crap, but they looked great in motion. So im willing to bet that this is going to look just fine when were watching it.
And love most of the line-up, Hulk, Iron man, And Cap(when he is apart of the avengers that is) are all favorites of mine. Thor im not all that familiar with, and Ant-man could potentialy become Goliath so its all good. I could do without Wasp tho, Probably the most useless heroine ever.
-
Well….she did have some good stories here and there during the 80s Avengers series.
-
I knew there'd be eyerolling over the art.
-
Every animated series needs at least ONE goth girl for some reason now.
Why they made it Wasp and not Scarlet Witch is beyond me. Wasp looks like Tira from Soul Calibur.
-
The art is comparable to the new Spectacular spider-man, which has great art, and even better choreography.
This show looks good thus far, I have faith for it, this is just the new art style for marvel cartoons. At least it's not the bishi b.s. that is fantastic four.
-
Yeah, if it's done by the Spectacular Spider-Man team, I'll keep an eye on it. Spectacular was a pleasant surprise for me. Also, it's the closest thing I'll ever get to an Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. Hopefully someday…
-
I won't comment on this until we see something in motion (because if I do, it will be something negative about the designs).
-
looks like The Batman.

looks like The Batman.
It's because for some reason, American animation seems to gravitate towards all the artists who have similiar thick-lined, hard edged, very little roundness, very styalized "cool" looking art.
Won't judge it until I see it in motion, that's the most important thing. Even The Batman for all it's weird designs actually had some damn good animation, particularly in action scenes.
Nothing against that very popular (and somewhat overused) style of art, but I wish we could see more variations in animation art styles. Like the new Spiderman cartoon for example, it's very styalized but it has a look all it's own and manages to stand out in a crowd.
Also, kudos to them for using the classic lineup. No stupid Carol Danvers in sight, yay!
-
I can understand what you guys mean based on first stills of the art, but people said the same thing about Spectacular, and that actually (personally I think) turned out really really good.
Wolverine's X-men also turned out decent, although I can't say I have been following it.. I guess the story isn't quite up to my standards.
And then there's the batman which had a lousy first season and then it had episodes like Clayface, which was AMAZINGLY written and I was like "holy shit this show is awesome" and I felt really sad that they ended up making 2 Clayfaces at a later time in order to save Bruce's friend.
-
Looks pretty nice to me, but I still don't like Goth Wasp.
-
That narrator FAILS at trying to copy Don LaFontaine's voice style.
…and Kang looks dumb. They had better beat up PEOPLE and not just robots. -
^
I was thinking that too, but have you seen the Ultimate Avengers movies? This looks more mature than those. -
I saw the trailer,It has great animation,I notice that they change Giantman's Design, I hope that The Vision and Black Panther appear
-
Did they? GiantMan looks like his classic look actually.
-
^
I think he was referring to the picture showing Antman but the trailer showing Giantman.Actually, I hope they are interchangeable in this cartoon. For some reason or another (probably the obvious one), they don't like Antman all that much…(he should be Antman for a decent amount of time due to the movie coming out somewhat soon).
-
…and Kang looks dumb.
Its not like Kang was ever an intimidating character.
The craft appears to be hostile sir…and from the future, that wtf line had me rolling on the floor. And i like the old looking robots. Just throw Hawkeye in the mix and this could end up being a good show.
