It's pretty dumb to assume WB and his crew won't go to save their nakama. If they fail, then Ace would just feel even worse since he got all of his nakama killed. I'd see no plausible way he'd go from 2nd division commander to some random position on his little brother's crew. You're pushing it with Ace joining. Just cause Whitebeard is comming to save him doesn't mean he can't see somehing in Luffy. Whitebeard has his whole crew and huge crew, and is all powerful. Luffy is one man a tiny ant as Nyon said going into a huge storm all for the sake of his big brother. Luffy is showing way more character than Whitebeard by doing this.

It never says being king was his dream, but Luffy says a few times that Ace left before him to go out and become the king. To me that sounds like he wants to be the PIrate King. So is he just going about it like someone in college wants to be an accountant. Thats not really thei dream, they just decided to do that. Being pirate king isn't really like that though, you can decide to be a pirate, but being king is quite a huge step, you sort of have to want it bad to become it.
Pretty sure I just brought up Zoro once in saying how some will leave their crew if it goes against their dream. Whehter preventing them, or they realize they are following a shitty captain. Didn't Zoro even say in Davy Back that he woudl have no reason to be a pirate of not on Luffy's crew. Something could happen to make Ace no longer idolize WB. The way I see Whitebeard as well, is that I don't think he would be super pissed at Ace if Ace decided to leave and make his own crew. Like Usopp said you can't leave teh crew without the captains permission. So I'm sure if Ace ever wanted to leave he would give his reason and WB seems like an honorable man that would respect it.

Why do you think Hatchan will join? He doesn't have anything unique to bring to the table (except for lots of arms and a weirdass mouth), and he appears entirely devoted to Camie, not to mention he's far too simple in his head to to be anything but a liability over time.
I think, or hope, the next nakama will be a woman, and Marguerite's personality seems like a good match for the SH's so far. Perhaps she's the new Empress of the Amazons after Hancock resigns because she realizes she's a failure as a leader :P

Just think about it, Boa is in love with luffy he does not take any interest in her this then creating an opposite to Sanji/Nami! Which i would find really funny and i think the fans would too!
Also the fact that she's a schibukai im guessin makes her pretty strong, therefore making the monster trio a monster Quadruple (even thats even the word lol)! No offense to Franky, Robin and Brooke but i dont think there considered anywhere near as strong as the trio! This i think would be awsum too!

I actually thought of that, like if it does end up with a huge breakout. Luffy could be seen to some prisoners as their savior and maybe someone who doesn't look like a threat (but there's more to him) might follow him around until he joins lol.
