@Zik:
Can I get the chap for when this was revealed? Also if this is true this only supports me more that Ace would change his dream to make WB PK and then switch it to make his little brother PK. If anything he'd decide to pursue his original dream again and ofcourse that won't happen being on Luffy's crew.
Really though I don't remeber Ace ever saying his dream was to be pirate king, please direct me to that chap.
So exactly why would Ace change his mind and join Luffy's crew? If he's gonna pursue his own crew why not try to captain the WB pirates? or start his own pirate crew?
Why would he change his mind to joining his brother's crew? Ace has already declared that he and his brother are basically competing against each other back in Alabasta. I don't see him joining at all. Just seems like wishful thinking from the fandom. everything I've concluded has been from what I know of Ace so far.
Waht are you talking about? What would Ace see in Luffy that he doesn't see in WB? What exactly could you speculate?
If Ace does that he's nothing more than a traitor. Some lame who is willing to change allegiance and loyalties to any pirate "he sees something in" and can have a good chance of achieving his dream. If I was Luffy I wouldn't want someone like that on my crew, brother or not. You seem to try and compare him to Zoro too much. There's nothing pointing to Ace just leaving the WB pirates especially when you say he has already changed his dream for WB. Changing it again would be lame.
It never says being king was his dream, but Luffy says a few times that Ace left before him to go out and become the king. To me that sounds like he wants to be the PIrate King. So is he just going about it like someone in college wants to be an accountant. Thats not really thei dream, they just decided to do that. Being pirate king isn't really like that though, you can decide to be a pirate, but being king is quite a huge step, you sort of have to want it bad to become it.
Pretty sure I just brought up Zoro once in saying how some will leave their crew if it goes against their dream. Whehter preventing them, or they realize they are following a shitty captain. Didn't Zoro even say in Davy Back that he woudl have no reason to be a pirate of not on Luffy's crew. Something could happen to make Ace no longer idolize WB. I never said he had ot join Luffy, if you read my earlier post you see I said he could join Luffy or decide to go back and pursue his original dream of beig King.
The way I see Whitebeard as well, is that I don't think he would be super pissed at Ace if Ace decided to leave and make his own crew. Like Usopp said you can't leave teh crew without the captains permission. So I'm sure if Ace ever wanted to leave he would give his reason and WB seems like an honorable man that would respect it.
Like I said I'm not arguing whether or not Ace is gonna join Luffy. I am just stating that being beaten by BB, being brought to Impel Down, and being rescued by Luffy. Whether or not WB lives or not in the battle this is gonna be something for Ace to think about. He may or may not think Luffy is gonna be king or better than WB, but I'm sure he may rethink this WB guy and think, maybe he isn't the only amazing person and so honorable. This could cause Ace ot want to be his own captain again and strive to go after his original dream again just like Luffy.
Its like what Hancock heard Luffy punched a tenryuubito, she was like wow there are still men like that. This could be like Ace. He maybe idolized WB for some reason like Hancock and Fisher Tiger. THen seeing what Luffy does he may realize that WB isn't the only crazy person out there.
