I hope somewhere in the universe, Erza and Shigure are in the same space. Erza complains about how horrible her kiddnapping was, and in the corner of a room is just Shigure laughing. Really, this week's bad Fairy Tail chapter made this one better. Seeing Shigure nude and restrained in the exact same fashion as before while being a "brat" is hilarious, as is the idea that she's just toying with her captors. It's nice that this manga is staying light hearted whereas that other, with little warning, beat a main character to the point they pee themselves.

You know…I thought that too, but I feel that if it looks like that then she might as well be. You can't be too subtle in a scene were you shackle a naked girl in a dungeon and whip her into unconsciousness.
Ok, I better make this about Kenichi somehow....hey, remember when Shigure was taunting the scientist "pervert" over and over? I like how she's implying that they're in the wrong despite the situation she's in. That's just the right thing to do. So much better then say, Erza begging. Yeah, she's begging for a friends life and it's nice of her, but as far as I know about masochism (which isn't much) she's just playing into the fetish. One is in character, the other is being twisted to fit the scene.
Also, I guess it doesn't say much about a chapter to say "It's better then this weeks Fairy Tail considering their similar material," but that's how I feel. Matsuena is a master of integrity this week.

Yeah. As much as I dislike the situation either character is in. Shigure is at least being portayed a better and feels to still be in character. Ezra never struck me as a character that would care if she was nude. Or appear to be so helpless so suddenly. Not even attempting to put up much of a front.
Shigure making a sextant seemed well weird. But I suppose with how skilled she is I can't be too surprised lol.

I hope I am not the only person who is confused after this chapter. (Ok, what isn't confusing about this manga). Who is the random guy showing up at the end? I doubt Shigure will die, this is HSDK after all. Shigure is awesome, but for the sake of preserving any story at all, she needs to die.

More importantly, I've been getting spoilers in every thread I've visited for the last few days, and this manga is a new one. I don't get it, why is the My Little Pony thread littered with spoilers hidden with quotes, but someone in the anime/manga section will blurt out who "dies" or which sentient clothing gets destroyed this episode. It's annoying.

It has already been draggin for too long with some silly filler arcs. There are still some loose ends that could or could not be taken care of in the war, but Kenichi has reached a barrier in his development as a character (he has become dull and predictable) Endind it in the next one-two years would be the wise thing to do.

So, is Kenichi weak or strong? The answer is that he is just an average fighter now with some outbursts when Miu is in danger and that's all, which is quite sad.

So i took the time to read this entire series up to the current chapter, and I will say that I like it alot, even though the fan service gets pushed to the limits. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all ends, with boobies.

I think saying kenichi has no personality is a bit much. He has quite a few interesting traits and his interactions with the other characters in the manga are fun.
I haven't found him to be boring and predictable at all. -

Well if you dont like starting setting then this propably wont be suiting your tastes anyway. The whole story revolves around untalented ordinary boy growing through immense training step by step. Read 30-50 chapters and if you dont find anything you like then mayby it wont suit your tastes.

I'm really not sure how this can end well for our heroes. Sure, Kenichi can win his fight, and Miu can beat these ninja chicks or whatever.
But the masters have to not only NOT kill their opponents, but also keep them from getting away.
and the other kids are outnumbered 2-to-1, so I can't really see how they could possibly win that encounter. -

Speaking of Kenichi I've always found him predictable but never dull. Also, yes quite sexist sometimes. It's ok to vow to protect a girl you love and grow stronger to do so, but when you jump in front of Miu and do some 'let me handle this' BS when she's perfectly capable of handling herself, that's a problem. In fact I remember having that exact complaint about this approach here.

The whole use my body as a stepping stone….what? She's not a damsel in distress! She's a superior martial artists and if anything, going off of recent chapters, Kenichi is the one who would need the assistance in jumping to the other side.
That's what I particularly don't like about Kenichi but besides that I find him consistently easy to root for. Somehow he's always the underdog in his fights no matter how strong he gets and he's always learning and respectful, even to his opponents. He's one of the most cliche shonen manga heroes ever produced but he portrays it so unabashedly. Predictable does not equal dull to me. It just means consistent and if he is always interesting to watch then he's just consistently fun.

If this was a less…the-world-hangs-in-the-balance situation I could see Kenichi losing this fight, but as the situation is I say Kenichi has to win this fight. There's no room for mistakes here. I love how everyone is outnumbered and overall outclassed. Even the great "Superman" is matched up somwhere.

I enjoy Kenichi as the underdog, and watching him step up has always been enjoyable. But holy shit, I don't think the author really thought that whole Miu protection thing through. It was cute at first, but now it has just gotten pointless and sexist, and that's a term I don't like throwing out.

Latest chapter is out and the fights are pretty intense. I can't see how exactly anyone will get out of this situation alive but I'm sure Matsuena has already thought this through. Who really stuck out in this chapter for me was Kushinada! She is handling the masters like they're amateurs! I wonder if that's because the masters are seriously outnumbered and worn down/distracted, or are they just simply outmatched by her. I'm thinking the latter because no one else seems to be able to take advantage of the numbers and catch the masters off guard like that.

I am willing to bet that most of unarmed Yomi/Yami will be switching sides to help Ryopanzaku, not perhaps to 'help' but they will come to their side for their own personal reasons… Agaard, Karate master, Ba souketsu and most likely Saiga too, most of apprentices of unarmed Yomi will come to help Shinpaku aswell.
Only thing that suprises me is that it hasnt happened yet, I guess story needs to build up some intensity before.
