I was expecting a lot from Caesar and jospeh relationship. Everyone were speaking about it there, so maybe I was expecting too much. But their friendship was just ok, nothing particular about it. Johnny and Gyro's relationship in SBR was better by miles.
You know, I fully agree with this part, though I think it's because
! Araki killed off Caesar way too soon, and he didn't do that much while he was alive either. This was one of Battle Tendency's (in my opinion) very few drawbacks, especially since Caesar is hyped up to be a secondary protagonist.
! Though I think comparing them to Johnny and Gyro is a bit unfair since SBR is more than three times as long as BT.EDIT: Also, Dio, why does it smell like Gangnam Style in here?
-
Previosly,Iwasaki, the composer of Part 2,complained via twitter about the bad use of his music in the anime. Now that there's are previews of 3 tracks available,I think I'm beginning to understand:
http://wwws.warnerbros.co.jp/jojo-animation/visual/#!/cd2
Why on earth did they remove the vocals for these tracks in the anime?I'm so glad they removed the vocals, those are horrible. At least 17 fits the italian theme, but god, the other two are awful. Why the hell did this guy compose rap songs for an anime that takes place in real world's 1930's?
-
I like them, they're cheesy in the same way TTGL's raps were.
I don't care either way, it still sounds good on the show.

I just finished reading Part 3 and it was a amazing read. Now I know why everyone praise the final battle, and I can't wait to see it animated !
Now, off to read Part 4
-
A particularly well-crafted episode this weak.
The intensifying dubstep/opera music as Cars got irradiated by the UV rays and shwoed us his intermediate form between Normal Cars and Ultimate Cars-the Disco Cars.
-
I thought that dubstep in Jojo would be stupid but man, if the
wasn't the greatest thing ever. -
@Rolor:

I only recently started reading Part 3, but I've been getting uncomfortable vibes from it so far.
Which is weird, because the last two parts took place in fuckin' 1888 and 1938, LOL. Shouldn't they have been worse?I think that part of the problem is Jotaro. I like his companions a lot more than I like him, which wasn't the case before.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still really interested in Dio's plan and the Tintin vibe is still there, I'm just… on edge. -

Also I agree, I didn't like Jotaro nearly as much as I liked the other companions.
-
Joutarou is just a Clint Eastwood style stoic badass who doesn't like braggarts or noisy bitches. There's nothing much else to him until later when he matures a little.
-
Yup I probably like most of his companions more then Jotaro too.
-
Same than the Jojolion commercial but with some pretty nice additions
-

that's because Jotaro is pretty much Autistic.
I can't think of any other way to describe him.
-
The Battle Tendency soundtrack would've been perfect if it wasn't for the fucking dubstep
-

Never bothered me.
-
Guess I'm nitpicking, I just really dislike the wubwubwub sound.
-
So yesterday I was watching the newest episode of this and I saw on the side that 26 was [Final]…hopefully thats a mistake of the uploader or something.
-
Iwasaki Taku, Battle Tendency composer, is well known for encorporating a heavy use of vocals into his works. Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann and Katanagatari are shining examples of his work. I'd vastly prefer if he was given even more freedom to experiment with JoJo. You don't hear something like Overdrive in anime.
At least Caesar's mourning song remained beautifully untouched.
-

no that's right. We were talking about it a few pages back. Jojo is running by season with stardust crusaders coming in october probably
-
I also can't agree that vocals necessarily work bad in background music.
Here's an example, composed by the very same Iwasaki Taku:
!
-
Sander, that video is blocked in my country.
-
Weird,I though they only blocked official licensed material from other countries, not…scenes from fansubbed episodes?
Does this work?Actually,if you've seen TTGL,I'm talking about the scene where where Super Galactic Gurren Laggan transforms after a spoilerific event, with Libera Me From Hell(row row fight da powah song) playing all the way.
-
ah, I just started reading this classic series ^^ I remember playing the old Playstation game
-
That video is blocked too, but I know what you mean. However, the vocals in the Jojo tracks, barring the one for Caesar's death, seem unnecessary.

Each part, distilled with scientific precision
-
The JoJolion poster killed me
-
'where in the world is dio brando?' XD Would watch
-
Yeah that's a pretty good summation of Stone Ocean.
-
So guys, who are the best subbers for Jojo? Until now, I kept up with commiesubs because they do a fantastic job, but they're currently four episodes behind, so fuck that shit.
I looked on nyaa, but I have no idea who of these groups is supposed to be good…gg, nutbladder, MMM, no idea. -
I finished Stardust Crusaders.
! In the Dio fight, there's a part where Jotaro randomly comes out of a manhole and it's never explained? LOL.

Parts 2 and 4 killed me.
Araki lol.

! http://mangable.com/files/images/jojos_bizarre_adventure/261/13.jpgHe didn't come out of it, he went into it. You read it wrong. Still uncharacteristically silly of him. I recall him simply stomping on the cover in the anime: that was preferable. Actually, the anime handled the finale better in general.

Yeah, stomping on the cover sounds more like Jotaro.
To be honest, I have more mixed feelings about this arc than the previous two, and this is supposed to be the most notable one.

Yeah, that's pretty much all of our reactions to Part 3 as well.

It's tied with Phantom Blood for least favorite part in my book. Whereas Phantom Blood just didn't have very much that was very exceptional about it, Part 3 was a roller coaster, filled with very good and very bad moments.
-

I looked on nyaa, but I have no idea who of these groups is supposed to be good…gg, nutbladder, MMM, no idea.According to what people say at the JoJo forum, gg and nutbladder are low-quality speedsubs and MMM are very good. MMM apparently has a great reputation from when they did other series in the past. Personally I watch Nutbladder as speedsub and later watch MMM's when it's out. I also think MMM is really good, but Nutbladder isn't that bad for a speedsub.

! http://mangable.com/files/images/jojos_bizarre_adventure/261/13.jpgKind of funny that in the fight with Funny Johnny also has a scene with manholes.
! And he, Dio! is also present, exactly half dead.

It's funny because there are bitches in the way who need to move.

The leaked footage of the (much maligned, never released) PB movie with the voice acting of the current anime
! -
A PB without Speedwagon may as well not exist at all
Begone from my sight!

I really wish ACDC's "HEEEEYYYY!" face was a meme of some kind. I need to see more characters making that face.

It can't be worse than rageface memes can it?

Also, why did characters spontaneously forget about the powers they used to have?
! Joseph rarely used the Ripple. Dio never froze anyone's blood. Even within the arc, Abdul never used Crossfire Hurricane again.

! Joseph was generally useless in part 3, that's just how Araki did it. Dio wasn't properly synched with Jonathan's body, so his better vampire powers were offline. Note that it took him a while to heal the cigarette wound he showed Hol Horse, yet he was able to heal nearly as fast as flames burned his body in part 1. I suppose he could have used the Stingy Eyes, but those are far less useful against stands, since they move at far higher speeds than ripple users. Also, he likes testing new powers, and in that case the new power was his stand. Abdul has plenty of powers, I can't think of any time crossfire hurricane was the obvious best course of action.

Wait wait wait, is that how he was able to use another Stand (Purple Hermit)? LOL, I think I just realized that.
