I actually went for a spontaneous adventure down to Hawaii to see the movie and it was totally worth it. Decided last Thursday I would go and then flew down Saturday and came back Monday….Am I crazy?...Yes! but it was a blast and I had tons of fun!

Wow, you are one hard core fan :D. Flying to Hawaii to see One Piece 
. That is so awesome! I think One Piece Strong World could totally be released nation wide in US cinemas. There are enough fans over there. Where as here in the UK it would be pretty much hopeless.
Well, I will just have to wait out for a HD Fansubbed when it is out then :happy:.
I don't even know why I did it as I have never done anything like this in my life. It was even my first time traveling outside of Canada! I could only do it as well because A) I was able to do it for dirt cheap because of a little luck and B) My final exams don't start until next week, so I had a week off to "Study".
There was actually a pretty good turn out and I saw a couple people with One Piece gear on. Also when the organizer asked if there were any One Piece fans in the audience there was a pretty big cheer. The movie itself was awesome, even if there were a few parts that bugged me but it was totally worth the adventure.

I think the second showing had abit fewer people, but only slightly. It's tougher on a Tuesday night by any case I'm sure. I caught a few more Cosplayers on that day than I did on Sunday.

Yeah, I hadn't been on a vacation in years. So it was a time coming, being in LA and hoping over to Hawaii for once.
Music - I enjoyed this soundtrack. I would compare it to Movie 5 and 6. It some moody/serious tracks being the stand outs in my mind. And then plenty of fun, fast pace tracks.
Animation - What One Piece should look like ALL the time. Some times you could tell they put the "B" team on a few scenes. I remember NOT being impressed by Zoro and Choppers' appearance in the movie. But any sequence with Sanji stole the show. I'll qualify this by saying Movie 6 has my FAV-O-RITE animation from any of the movies, because of the looseness, exaggeration, timing, movement and flow of the characters. So it's not Movie 6 good… but it's damn good on model stuff.
Plot - typical One Piece movie... a loose take on several different arcs in the series... without the same emotional appeal. Only because they had to condence it into 2 hours with characters we don't care THAT much about. The is one big "HOLY SHIT" moment for me in the movie concerning Nami and a piece of her jewel that gets revealed, that I wanted to stand up and applause for. But the movies humor was really good also.

Band is called Mr. Children, Song is called Fanfare, and you can probably find a full version if you search around a bit. Most likely they are selling it on iTunes.

The only reason I was able to do it was because it did not break the bank and because I am very fortunate that my dad is employed by an airline. He is just a building manager/electrician but anyone who works for this airline in any form, even the cleaning staff gets the same benefits. Sometimes I wonder if I am wasting time in University…....
The whole trip, including the flight, cost me $206 but that was because I only had to pay the taxes for the flight, normally the flight alone would have been about $850. The only problem with the system is I have to fly standby so even though I booked the flights there was still a chance I would not get to go. Normally flights to Hawaii are completely booked but for some amazing reason the flights there and back had lots of space so I was able to get there and back without worry. Plus I basically stayed in the cheapest place I could find which cost 30 bucks a night, it was basically a hostel with your own "room," or how i describe it a hole in a wall with a bed, lamp and fan.

If you remember a while back we had a special manga chapter, "Chapter 0", so this DVD is actually the animated form of that chapter.
