It'd be nice if they released a special DVD that had the TV specials and Strawhat Theater on it alongside some behind-the-scenes, interviews, and other cool backstage extras.
I agree with this idea. Even if it was just the TV Specials and Strawhat Theater, I'd be content. Funi could give the name of it the "Hidden Treasure" collection or something. I dunno. Make it happen, there's a Funi person lurking somewhere 'round these parts :ninja:

I've never actually watched naruto past the start of tea.
Which pretty much means I've seen all that was good within naruto animated, since "chase sasuke" was the beginning of where we've ended up now.
But yeah, if the explanation says "zero new content", I can't see anyone complaining.

Well, Naruto filler is the only time I would not get annoyed at people for not purchasing the sets. If it's just one or two sets I would tell them they still need to support the series if they like it, but if it's like 5 or 6 sets, even I wouldn't spend over 200 dollars for Naruto filler quality episodes. Among the fillers there were a few arcs I liked enough to watch again, so I bought them. And the last one leading into Shippuden.
But yeah, I agree that the Sasuke thing led to where we are now. Any chapter with Sasuke = one big pile of crap.

Unfortunately I don't think it matters if you have "BUY THE DVDS" all over the clips, because Toei sends bots to find videos, not actual people. You'd be better off mirroring the videos so the bots can't find them.

Big sales launch on Thursdays. Give it a couple more days (although RightStuf has really good customer service so they MAY be willing to price adjust if you call them - I think someone here got a price adjustment once but I don't recall who or when).

Now that you mention it, a while back I asked them to adjust the price on one of season one's preorders during a sale and they did. I wouldn't do it all the time though, because there's a chance they won't if you do it too much.

I was posting short review clips, I was putting up "Buy these DVDs" messages at the end of the videos.

I just can't afford Voyage Seven this time around so I'll be waiting on it. I'll probably get it and the first season three voyage in the same go - I'm not in a huge rush for that one either because I've already seen it on CN. Probably shortly after it's release because I will have birthday money by then. Hopefully.

How long has it been now since the last FUNi sale? Do you think we'll get one before Brotherhood comes out? Perhaps it may be in my best interest as well to wait until then to get it, because I know for a fact that I will not touch this set right away, being the filler that it is. And I know I'll only watch like one episode at a time anyway, because more than likely it won't maintain my interest for more than 20 minutes at a time. :getlost:

RACS has Season 2 7th Voyage in stock now, and since i pre-ordered it there I should be getting it Monday. I've never ordered from TRSI, how is the service there. (though i'm happy with RACS)

There have been cases, with me at least, where Best Buy will match the online prices of retailers like Walmart and Target.

May as well mention since Mikey and Rin don't plan to get this set and since i've been having problems with Play.com (i'm still waiting for sixth voyage to arrive), none of my friends will be getting this particular set. So for those of you waiting for a better quality version of Free Will dubbed… you'll have to wait until June, when we all plan to buy Season 3 First Voyage. Unless someone else would like to work with me for a change, there's nothing else I do.
I do plan to get the set one day though. I actually would like to see episodes 131-135 and 139-143 with an uncut English Dub. The sets also feature the return of such actors as Vic Mignogna, Chris Patton and possibly Wendy Powell, who we certainly won't be hearing again for a while. It's just that i'm a little tight on my budget at the moment and with my major A2 exams coming up, i'd rather not be distracted with another set of One Piece episodes. XD Hope all of those who buy the set enjoy it!
