Only when the annotation in the vid points it out. Otherwise, Wapol sounds just like Krieg to me. Still, it works for him.
well at least its better than the 4kids version.

Well I guess I'm not the only one waiting for RightStuf to ship S2V3.
I think it might ship in the next couple of days, because I had ordered Kenshin VizBig Vol. 7 and it had "Reserved For Your Order" almost the whole week and it shipped over the weekend and got here Monday. Well we can just hope it ship soon for those who haven't gotten theirs yet.
Yeah, I think the voice better fits Wapol than it did Krieg…
Mine has FINALLY shipped, it'll be here Monday.
I'm so pissed at Right Stuff, they somehow ALWAYS find a way to screw something up

Aren't you still getting it before it's release?
I think I'm getting mine tomorrow - I use the economy shipping and it never gives me an expected delivery date, so I have to guess based on the location of the package.
EDIT: Shouldn't Funimation be releasing its list of January 2010 solicitations soon? Not that Sixth Voyage will be coming out then but we've had them two months in a row before so you never know :)
Would it be possible for someone to upload the clip of Sanji and Luffy running away from the avalanche?
We still the infamous Zoro dieing th Avalanche while doing push ups and Usopp's dick in the snow joke after he and Vivi got run over by the avlanche.
Mikey, thanks a lot for all the clips. Though this wasnt my favorite arc, it still was entertaining to watch. And Andy Mullins did an excellent job as Wapol, better than Krieg. It
s a shame there was no Fourth Voyage trailer. =( Oh well. When it does come out, my guesses are Sanji or Nami will narrate.
Keep up the great work, FUNI!
Does this mean I won't get my Voyage 3 until December? D:
Anyone else notice they put Isshy 20 and Dr. Hiruruku for the Japanese Voices in the credits? That's kinda strange.
They've been making some odd errors on the credits for some time now. Unsure if this is the result of the list from what's given to the guys in charge of the credits or the person translating the credits. Really confusing…

E-mail RightStuf and ask them to send it to you :)
Turns out they didn't ship it because I was one cent off for the whole price, stupid taxes. Guess I didn't have enough money on my card. So after adding the money, they shipped it out so I will get it Tuseday.
Finished my set!
Funi did an awesome job as usual. Loved all the main cast voices. While Lureha was not like I pictured her English voice, in the end the voice really fit. She also nailed her eery "witch" laugh. Chopper and Hiruluk's back story was nailed to a T. I admittedly teared up a tad bit, something I haven't done watching that arc since the first time I saw the original.
One thing I noticed was that Funi was forced to use the 4Kids names for Chopper's attacks even for the DVDs. But they were smart and altered it so he says both the original and 4Kids terms. "Brain Point - Brain Boost". Also liked that they kept "Roseo" this time, like Oda intended.
Oh and finally, Mr. 3's cameo in the last episode sounded even better than his first appearance. Can't wait to hear him in Alabasta.
The commentary was pretty funny. Leave it to Sonny Straight to give you a good laugh. I also find it funny they had no idea Chopper was a boy until halfway through recording the arc.
So we won't get the next set till December. It's cool though, at least we got several in a row, and sped all the way to the Alabasta arc. I could actually use a break from spending money after all the crap I bought this month.
Ah, awesome, my DVDs shipped out. Finally, after a hiatus I can finally begin Season 2.
Mine arrived today! With lots of other stuff (I've been picking through the RightStuf bargain bin) but sadly I needed sleep this afternoon and now I have to go to work T_T
Just got it! 16 Hip-hip hoorays!
GUH. I'm not a bawler, but I definitely shed a tear. Fantastic work by Brina. If I wasn't sold on Chopper before, I am now.
Okay, Brina is her name. I need to work harder to remember the names of the VAs I respect. =[
Wow, they even talked about We Are Family a whole bunch…and complained how you can't even hear it! :p
The dub's in 5.1, right? Then ripping Family shouldn't be too hard...

I would really love to hear English "Family." The one in Skypiea was a little hard to hear.
And Chris Sabat singing? I REALLY want to hear that.
Hey guys What are the chances of getting the tv specials?

Your wish has been granted:
Not exactly the 'Family', but still…he's got a degree.

He`s not half bad. And Zoro sounds closer to his natural voice so it will be easier.
BTW, what was the audio taken from?
Shin-chan episode 13, I believe. I made the video a while ago so I don't quite remember, but yeah…
...I'm actually quite surprised he hasn't done more songs, but I'd guess his low range isn't always the best for these Anime songs.

If by any chance GaiGaiGar Final got a dub…
Sabat could SO do the background vocals on this…tears up and walks away crying knowing that'd never happen-Zera
Does anyone know who sings Before Dawn? I'm updating the FAQ topic

I believe there is an episode towards the end of Alabasta that uses Oretachi Wa Family as the actual ending theme for just like that episode only. Maybe we will get a perfect dub of it there.
EDIT: I just looked into it. Oretachi Wa Family was used as the ending credits theme for Episode 128(The Hot Springs Bath/Party Episode). They play most of the full version of the song. All the Strawhats get solos except for Robin who hadn't joined the crew yet. Robin did sing the song when they did the CD though.
This is what we will get:
Ya' know who Wapol sounds a bit like? Nappa.
Is there anyone who could post a clip of Luffy and Sanji chasing chopper?
@My:
Thank you for the email,
We can ship out the items in stock for a partial ship fee of $11.00, sorry for the inconvenience and delay.
Have a nice day!
Alvaro
I don't care, I just want Chopper <3

They don't mean a real "Extra Fee" they just mean if they ship now, you'll get charged for Shipping NOW, and when the rest of the shipment goes out… which is pretty damn obvious.
@LUFFY#1:
Hey guys What are the chances of getting the tv specials?
Maybe they will be extras on future DVDs? It would be good to see them. But the Soccer Special is the only one I can't see happening. Cause Oda gueststared….and who could replace him for Odacchi? No one, that's what.

They'll just get someone to voice Odacchi like they'd do for any character. It's the same situation w/ Ken Akamatsu's appearances in the Love Hina Christmas and Spring Specials.

Then if they do, it has to be an excellent voice. Oda deserves respect.
Somehow, I could only see the casting of Gen Fukunaga be anywhere as epic. The God of the North American Industry voicing the current God of Shônen Comics. :p

Someone who agrees with my opinion 100%. FUNI rules and so does One Piece. No questions asked.
Well, I think Funimation knows fans are interested in the movies and TV specials and such, but I think the TV specials would be treated as OVAs and the movies as, well, movies.

That's not a reason to not do it, lol.
Maybe Oda will attempt to talk in English for us in the American release xd I'm pretty sure he knows English, or some at least.
As far as movies go, I'd prefer a dub of movie 10 before any other one since it's cannon.
The movie isn't cannon, Oda is just helping them with the storyline.
R: Odacchi! Congratulations! They're doing another One Piece movie. But this time, it's your script, right? I'm really looking forward to it!! …and, when I was watching the movie trailer on my computer I heard the word "Kinjishi" come up - but isn't that the flying pirate who broke out of jail 20 years ago that Sengoku mentioned in chapter 530!? There has to be some connection, right!?
O: Yes. "Kinjishi". Actually, I really wanted to have his name come up in the scene where Shirohige talks to Shanks in volume 45. But I thought at the draft level that I was handing out too much information and confusing the readers, so I took it away - but in my mind, I have determined that he is one of the legendary pirates who played a big part during Roger's time. Though I didn't think I'd make a movie about him. In any case, "Kinjishi" escaped from Impel Down, and now that 20 years have passed, he's finally starting to make a move, and that's what the movie is about. There's an announcement on page 192.
Sounds cannon enough to me :P
Ah, Season Two: Second and Third Voyage are here! First Voyage was a separate order and is on the way.
I finally got mine, so I'm ripping Clips!!
Starting with clips Mikey hasn't done yet, but I won't restrict myself since you guys aren't my only audience, I have subscribers who may not have seen Mikey's Vids.
These also have the Debut of my new "Credits" portions of the videos in an attempt to fend off Toei from going after me, tell me how they look please.

Ahhh… Just finished blazing through the set, and as usual, impeccably well-done.
With all the sets I've amassed, I'm thinkin' I oughta give the Marathon mode a workout soon. I haven't watched many of these eps in Japanese yet, so that's probably the way I'll go in that next go-around.
@Pan:
One Piece TV wont ever be released on Blu-ray in the US, that is just a pipe-dream. The Bluray market is tiny compared to DVD and anime is already a niche market. Short 13 episode TV series and movies have a chance for Blu-ray releases because it is much less of a risk, but no 100+ episode TV show will ever be released on Bluray in the US outside of DBZ (unless the company really wants to go bankrupt). Even then, I doubt the original DBZ TV will be released on Bluray, likely just the remastered/recut Kai version. One Piece unfortunately just doesn't have the mass appeal like DBZ.
This post is funny because this is exactly how people thought back during the VHS days when DVD was the new format.
It seems like Blu-Ray releases would have the benefit of more episodes and little to no compression, as low as it is already.
This post is funny because this is exactly how people thought back during the VHS days when DVD was the new format.
The difference here being that Blu-Ray at first glance doesn't offer as many advantages to DVD that DVD did to VHS. With DVDs, you not only had better video/audio quality and a more compact media format, you also had the potential for on-disc extras, longer life spans, and the complete elimination of rewinding. While it took a couple years to catch on, they were a big deal. Blu-Ray's superiority isn't quite as obvious to the average consumer. "So, it's shinier? Big deal, it's too expensive!"
Plus, DVD only fully replaced VHS less than half a decade ago, and that was after VHS had had a long 2 decade reign. While Blu-Ray is certainly picking up, I don't see it being a DVD killer anytime soon. It'll probably serve as an HD supplement to DVD until younger generations become the majority consumer, no matter how much studios are trying to push it.
