@wolfwood:
well ill be damned Archie was right, and what a fucking disapointment it was Gaoh goes from breaking the bones of people who even ridicoule his one on one opponents to readily accepting 3rd party help in his fights, seems kinda outta character to me but meh whatever.
Gaoh wanted to take down Hiruma so he could have a pure contest of strength. I don't think the method of how it was done really mattered to him so it's not so out of character.
And I hate to say I told you so, but I'm a douche who needs every bit of validation I can get so…told you so.
@Satsuki:
Waaaaaaaaah! Hiruma! :sad: I totally forgive the manga-ka for eliminating Seibu now. This is freaking epic.
There are two silver linings to this disaster though:
1. At least Hiruma seems to have gotten a fairly clean break in his upper arm. As long as his elbow isn't screwed up it should heal well.
Yeah, he'll be fine by Christmas Bowl time. I wonder if Kid will every play again though considering his entire arm was dislodged and almost broke through his skin. Hiruma should be out the rest of the game though.
@Satsuki:
2. This hopefully means that we'll have someone step up into captain position (and likely indicate who will inherit Hiruma's reign next year). Frankly, I'm hoping it's NOT Sena. Like him and all, but he's not a captain. I'm hoping for Juumonji, since he's got the kind of personality suited for captains, and team captains aren't always QB anyway. And I always figured/hoped that Hiruma would train Juumonji to be QB after he leaves. Juumonji's always been praised for this technical skill, he can do it.
I agree, Sena's a good player, but he's not captain material. He hasn't demonstrated any leadership qualities. Juumonji seems to be the only one that has, but he hasn't shown any indication of cleverness or thought of tactics. I'm definately interested to see where this goes though. The next few chapters will probably be Deimon falling apart before whoever takes the helm.
