Im pump for the next chapter ES21. Go Deimon give them hell
Eyeshield 21 Discussion

Somehow I figured it was something like that: by moving at his 4.2 backwards, he made Yamato think he was retreating, forcing him to run forwards while Sena runs passed him. Interesting technique and of course it seems like who knows who will win now.
-
Wohoo! Deimon is winning
-
Heh, its starting to look like ES21 is entering the realms of fantasy now…
-
good god just when u think they're down. so wat hav we learnd today…........have faith in ur team YA-HA
-
New chapter out…and it really can be defined by three shocking words:
Taki...beat...Yamato. (basically the idiot got a safety on him after that last kick-off...it was so confusing that the fact that he beat Yamato was insane!...then again, thanks to that, all Deimon needs are two TDs and two 2-point conversions and they win)
Other than that, the game seems to be taking it's time even though they're now under 5 minutes with their hurry-up.
-
They must LOSE they don't win I bet they just cant other wise the story is crap if they win
-
Relax of course the Alexanders are gonna lose
But i guess it wont be ending on chapter 300, which is good cause there are way to many lose ends to tie up.
-
Well I can see pretty strong evidence pointing that they're going to win, they still need to wrap up Monta and Honjou's catching battle along with Sena and Yamato's battle. So I'm assuming they win and both get touchdowns respectively that's 12 points right there.
Still not totally sure how they are going to handle those 2 point conversions though. So if they're going to lose then it'd be because of those points.
-
What with all of their strategies you'd wonder why the authors aren't working as real football coaches. :p

Yeah i know thats probably how it will go, but i have seriously no intrest in Taka vs Monta anymore, Wish they would just focus a little more on the other Deimon players and give them some time to shine before its all over. But i suppose they could play some part in the conversions.
-
Agreed, they really focus a bit too hard on those two. Granted Kurita had his moment with the Dinosaur match, it would definitely be nice to see some depth into characters like the Haha Brothers besides Juumonji.

Or are they?

fucking baldy is going to score the last two points.
u heard it here first

Depends. If the final two points are what Deimon needs to win the game, it's probably going to be Sena and Yamato's final battle. I probably could see Yukimitsu scoring beforehand one of the last two TDs or the first 2-pt conversion before the end (just like they used Taki for that safety), but usually the game ends with a final battle of whoever the focus is…and since Sena/Yamato is the main event, it will probably be the final conversion too.
-
New chapter is out (and this is maybe a double post)…and I guess the last post came true: Yukimitsu scored! (though...Yamato did defeat Devil Bat 4-D just chapters after being created)
Though I've noticed something in particular with the last few chapters. A couple chapters ago the main focus was on Musashi making a big play, last chapter was on Taki and this time was Yukimitsu. I'm starting to think that this could be Inagaki/Murata's way of counting down to the end, with each main player giving one more important movement that may ultimately win it for Deimon. Thus the last few chapters of the game could probably be one each for Komusubi, the Ha-Brothers (well those three together), Monta, Kurita, Hiruma and ultimately Sena. (heck, they could even throw in Ishimaru if they want to give a nod to him) I don't know if this is what's happening but I'm starting to think that way after the last few chapters.
-
Where is the chapter?
-
Check One Manga, it came out not too long ago.
-
Wohoo! another touchdown, next week is the 300th chapter
-
The man who brings home the glory will be Monta right after Sena finishes off the real eyeshield for the last touchdown. Hmm Give it 3 more chapters or so. I hope something really amazing comes out since it'll be the '300th' Chapter ^__^
-
Ch. 300 is out. I'm pretty sure people will think have different opinions but I think this is my favorite chapter of the series.
-
The chapter was good but somehow I just wonder what next week's "climax" is: the end of the game…or the end of the series? (we are that close and with 8 seconds left in the game, this pretty much is it)
-
the series is ending within 6(?) issues
I forgot the exact issue number it's ending, but it's already been announced that it's over.

Yeah I know it's over but I just wonder why they have to make a big deal about a center-color "climax" when that's usually saved for the final chapter of the series.
-
I just like the fact that unlike Oda they dont rush things ahead just to match it with a certain chapter and just go at the pace they intended. And this part in the end with no time left and all is lost feels alot like the shinryjiu nagas game.
-
I want to say that this game is over, but the shit talking Alexanders' kicker makes me think otherwise. It'd take a lot of time stretching for a Chris Cross TD & Extra Point/Onside kick/Immediate FG to send this game into OT…or maybe they'll just lose.

I'm pretty sure the game's been decided and that Deimon is going to lose. Honestly, I rather like it this way cause pulling a win out of their asses would kinda cheapen the series a bit for me. NOT saying that they haven't pulled miracle wins before, but all those other matches never really had everyone agreeing unaminously that the game is over and that they lost.
It reminds me a lot like the first match against Oujou where Deimon had no chance of making a comeback but Sena still wanted to beat Shin. I would like to think the same thing has to happen here. It would really conclude Sena and Monta's battle with their respective rivals.
-

Yeah thats really what got me, Should the series really end with Musashi getting told he sucks compared to him and not have a damn thing that he can do about it? Wish they would just score and then the alexanders would just punt it and Musashi can score a 60 yard field goal on his arrogant ass.
But eh atleast its intresting to see what comes up.
-
Good point. It's time for Musashi to live up to his "60-yard Magnum" title for real.
-
Chapter 301: 4th Dimensional Devil Bat Ghost???!!!
-
That's how we roll.
-
You just know theyre going to turn around and win when everyone else has already decided that they cant. Thats what the devilbats are all about xD
Still hoping that Musashi is going to be one of the players who puts the final nail in the alexanders coffin.
-
It would be the easiest way.
With the touchdown Sena just scored the DBs score 6 points. Add the point-kick Musashi will (hopefully) make afterwards that 7. They need 8 to tie and 9 to win. The easiest route after that is have Musashi blow a 60-yard miracle kick to tip the scales.
-
The score is 44 - 34. 8 points to tie? Well 6 is in the bag making it 44-40… now they can either go for one or two points. Though we shouldn't get technical because what? The whole chapter was pretty much 4-5 seconds?
-
According to my brother, there is a chance (unlikely, but possible since they're the main characters) for them to win. If they get the two point conversion, then it will be 44-42. If Deimon does an onside kick, recovers it, and spikes it or runs out of bounds, the play should end, giving Deimon time for another play. By that point, they should be about 60 yards away or so from the endzone, giving Musashi a chance to redeem himself with a 60 yard field goal, putting them in the lead by a single point (since it would add three points, and they only need two) and giving Teikoku no time to catch up.
-
All that I really want at this point is for this game to just end already. I really don't care who wins anymore. All I know is that since Sena defeated Yamato (again and probably for real considering the game only has seconds left), the series is essentially over outside a few wrap-up chapters.
-
Are you kidding me? This is what i love about Eyeshield 21, When they turn around an impossible situation in some way i never would have imagined. They probably have saved the best for last. Im kinda saddend that its already ending, wish it would never end.

I know its what makes the series but its not even about winning to me anymore. Sena has proven himself to be the best which means the result really has no meaning since, well, it's the final game and Deimon's done more in one year than a ton of other teams could dream.

Wow. I have no idea what that means but it sounds really intelligent.
-
just gotta say that this last chapter rocked hard!
-

Basically, Monta's going to get redemption for the failed onside kick against Seibu to set up a 60 yard field goal for Musashi. Which, if he converts, should make it 45-44 Deimon.
-
Man, it's painful waiting for each chapter to come out so close to the end! I still have no idea whether the Devil Bats are going to win or lose though..

That is exactly how I am expecting it to end.
-
New chapter! ONE SECOND LEFT! Seems like it's playing out how Megadoomer predicted (although I'm not sure how far way from the endzone it is).
-
Pretty much the game ends in two ways:
-Super-long field goal by Musashi (which would be really cool)
-Sena gets one more run (he really has nothing left to prove and it would be the cliche way but I guess appropriate)Either way, the game probably should end next week…but won't because the final play will end up taking multiple chapters to depict.
-
^ I'd have to go with the 60 yard magnum by Musashi hands down
-
Chapter's out and…well I should have seen it coming earlier but a few said it: Musashi's going for the win! A great chapter, particularly Yamato finally crushing his eyeshield giving Sena the title...but the final part where he dissapears...I hope it doesn't turn into a Sena finale.
-
EHREDSHFDZHDSAHS!!!
I can't believe we still have wait yet another week, it's killing me!
-
Is there anyone who couldn't predict what the last play was gonna be? Next chapter, the game ends!
(unless it turns out that there is a flag for like the first time in the series)
-
60 YARD MAGNUM. We all called it. But it's one of those times I'm happy that the prediction was right. We've been waiting all series for this.
Forgive me for being ignorant, but what do flags do in football?
-
Wikipedia says :ninja: :
If a foul occurs during a down, an official throws a yellow flag near the spot of the foul. When the down ends, the team that did not commit the foul has the option of accepting the penalty, or declining the penalty and accepting the result of the down.
Red flags:
Are thrown by coaches to challenge a play by the opposing team.
