@COWMAKAZE:
All of this talk about a DragonBall-only game reminds me of a GBA Dragonball game that was actually really good. At first you could just play as Goku, but beating the game unlocked Krillin and beating THAT unlocked the option to look for items to unlock a horde of new characters (Giran, Jackie Chun, Piccolo Daimao, Drum, Tamborine, Yamcha, Tienshinhan, and basically anyone else that ever threw a punch in the entire series). It was really, really entertaining, but it made me wish there was a two-player mode.
Honestly, a DB-only fighting game or even side-scrolling beat-em-up would be incredible. That was my favorite part of the series anyway, back when doing fifty backflips to escape a drop-knee was the preferred means of travel. Pity that there are so many idiots that prefer fireworks and flying over kickass fighting and goofy-as-hell characters.
That was a fun DB game, but one thing I didn't like was that you could only play as "anyone" on certain modes while the main side-scroller section was Goku or, after unlocking him, Krillin.
Besides, if anyone wants a more traditional Goku in the game, they could have a "proto-Z, 23rd Budokai" Goku as a secret character. (the one who defeated Ma Jr./Piccolo)
