An interesting idea stumbled upon me while I was in the shower. Has anyone else noticed why Whitebeard is currently the closest to becoming Pirate King? Yeah, he did have all those fights witht he former Pirate King, Gold Roger, but that is not it. No, the truth is rather simple, right in our faces, or rather right in their faces. The Pirate King is the man with the most epic mustache. It all makes sense now! Roger had an excellent curvy son of a witch, but with it gone, Whitebeard's grinning milk mustache is in the lead! So now that we know the only thing left for Luffy to do to become Pirate King. Boa Hancock is a man in disguise and she will show Luffy how to grow and groom the perfect handlebar mustache!!!!!!!!!

P.S. All those fools who think Blackbeard is going places, look again at that sad excuse for facial hair. :D

That's why right now BB "looks" stronger, with darkness and what not. But once Luffy gets that handlebar going, he'll get gears 4 and 5 and master Haki with each strand of mustache that grows in. :D

The Pirate King also needs an eyepatch (empty eye socket optional, but preferred).

I'm honestly surprised that in 500+ plus chapters, not one non-background character has had an eyepatch. Though I've read that Oda apparently said in an interview that he's saving it for a certain character. That character will be epic.

Fine I'll go in the other direction then, the lighting that shocked Buggy and saved Luffy was from Enel. He just happened to be in that part of the sky that day and felt like starting up a little storm.

and I'll try different reasoning now - we know a few things about haki
1. objects can be imbued with it
2. haki could be directed to a single target - like rayleigh hit only disco-san when helping caime here: http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/500/18/

so I'm simply suggesting that Dragon imbued an object (the lightning that was there because of the stormy weather) with haki while giving direction to the haki too

I was looking something over today in research of something I read and I found this peculiar line by Bellamy:

"Listen up! The pirate dream's era is over! The City of Gold!!? The Emerald Capital!!? The Great treasure of One Piece!!!?…"

Now we know the Straw Hats have found the City of Gold in Skypiea...and they will eventually find One Piece. But...what about this "emerald city" or "emerald capital"? I wonder if Oda will somehow reveal if that exists too?

And the world government is the first empire… Dai tactician is one of the grand admirals and so on. Oda is in secret a star wars fan and depicted the early states of the star wars universe

Moria lost his crew in a battle with Kaidou and tried to return stronger. Same withe LUffy, the other strawhats were pawed to their doom somewhere, and this is the new beginning of OP. Luffy will steal other peoples sould with haki then input them into rubber clones of himself. He will then dominate Amazon Lily and turn it into a giant Pirate Ship names Killer Bark. He will seek revenge until a young marine named Coby comes along and defeats him with his marine crew thus creating a endless circular vortexs that will end only when Oda dies.

I feel like I said this before…

When Luffy sets off to sea at the end of his Adventure On the Isle of Women, I think we'll get a couple of narration boxes alluding to the island's future, similar to the end of the Drum Arc.

Hancock and her sisters will loose their titles. The three stoned girls will be unstoned and will replace them. Why I say that is because Hancock is a "liar" and afterwards the "honest" girl who saved Luffy's life will replace her to finally free Amazon Lily of Hancock's trap.

Maybe Hancock will be banished from the island… Her sisters might stay. I think she may be revealled to have a really shameful history. Maybe Luffy will take her with him to give her the chance of redeeming herself after she reveals her story and he shows his bitter towards whatever happened to her. She'll suddenly see that not all people are so bad... As for her sisters, I don't know... Maybe she'll join Luffy's crew and Hancock's bounty will add to the Straw Hats and take them near to the 1,000,000,000 mark (her bounty won't be greater then Luffys). The next crew member to join, will take them over it. Lol. Or Hancock will be forced to the edge of the island to live with Nyon. Hancock will properly deserve to die for her actions but Maguerite will turn round and decide death is no longer the Kuja way.

And now to sit here and wait to be proved wrong. by Oda again.. :-P

my theory about what will happen next - Luffy will kick Gorgon sisters (another Shichibukai defeated), then return to Archipelago where all his nakamas will be waiting for him. The rest of the crew will be stronger by training while they were alone from each other (new techniques and so on). and of course Luffy will also get stronger, by learning how to use Haki and how to "add" haki to his normal attacks.

we saw two people using it, maybe Shanks learnd it from Rayleigh and Rayleigh from Hancock (or Shanks from Hancock and Rayleigh from Shanks)
if Hancock has an symbol from Rayleigh (or Shanks) on her back then luffy maybe remenber it

I'd rather think it has something to do with his revival and Luffy plays a key role (perhaps as reincarnation) here. Perhaps that's why he's the one "they" have been waiting for. Luffy is the body and One Piece somehow has something to do with Roger's soul.^^

Btw time for my own theory. Don't know if somebody has suggested it before, but I'd say the D. stands for Dionysus (or Dionysos). ;)
