I think one of the main things people don't realize is, with BB's power, touching someone who inherited a power from eating a Devil's Fruit neutralizes their power, making them "human" again. It doesn't sap their strength, rendering them useless to stand or act on their own, like when Luffy was stuck in the Kairouseki Cage (Arabasta Arc).

Pure physical strength does factor in, BB did after all choose his fruit carefully, think of the scar given to Shanks, that was supposedly done before BB acquired the devil fruit. That's how he nullified Ace, pure physical brutality after holding his power hostage by grabbing his arm.

Thanks for the chapter, BF…finally our three weeks of wait is over.

As for the chapter...somehow, I'm still a bit nebulous regarding Teach's Yami Yami Fruit, but its a very destructive ability indeed. And even though I'm not that much an Ace fan, he showed off why he's a Whitebeard lieutenant and how far he'll go to stop a betrayer like Blackbeard. While we probably won't ever know how this ended for a while, sort of happy that maybe we get back to the SH next time...I hope.

thing shanks was nowhere near the man he is now, remember he wasnt much more than buggy at one point. I think it just proves that BB is a serious factor in the story, but doesn't prove he is at shanks level etc. I mean shanks 'charisma' is still one of the most impressive things we ve seen in OP.

I rather want to know the outcome…. because if it is shown in lets say after 100 chapters.... that would make it a flashback (darkened panels)...... which would meant Ace = Dead........ for good....

that's what the last panel says. as for what the great incident is i'm not sure but here is what i think. I don't think Ace will be killed but i do believe he will end up at impel down. the great incident will be whitebeard leaving the 2nd half of the grandline and going to impel down to rescue ace. that will cause a huge incident between whitebeard and the world government and who knows by then blackbeard may even be a shichibukai and will team up with the world government to kill whitebeard. if whitebeard leaves the 2nd half of the grandline then the balance will be broken between the emperors and that will probably result in all out war between the other 3 emperors to take over whitebeards territory. who knows the world government may even send some powerful marines and the other shichibukai to go after the 3 remaining emperors as the world government wages war on whitebeard. hehe who knows dragon may even take this opportunity to invade mariejoa and kill the gorosei. this incident may prompt a major, major shift in power.

BB Blackhole is scary. Nothing can escape that, not even light! The only way I can see BB being defeated is by a OHKO, and you'd have to be ridiculously strong to do that to Teach. DF users beware!

it's Dragon that I am not sure.... he might be using this whole incident PLUS the Enies Lobby incident to gain political mileage..... and also ride the wave that is about to hit everyone on the GrandLine.......

as for Luffy, I don't think he will find out yet........ maybe after when he crosses into the New World, word will reach him....... and it's RUMBLE time in the New World.....

Ace will be alive........ UNLESS the next chapter says he is not dead..... if not, it's a 99% chance that Oda is going to make Ace death a flashback for Luffy.......... in a future chapter when Luffy finally meets up with Blackbeard......
