Tell me about it, I'm basically spending all my birthday money ($50) on Smoker. Oh well, it was originally gonna buy Robin either way, and I want to own all the POPs (if there's NEO versions, I wont get the old ones). With these sudden "restocks", I'm hoping Usopp/Chopper will be coming, even if he's not a Neo I'll take him over Sogeking + Chopper Neo even if they're not as good.
And if they do end up releasing a Neo of Smoker… I'll buy him too. He's worth having two of. XD (Tho I probably wont display him, I doubt anyone would buy him for a reasonable price seeing how he'd be out of the box, too.) I feel so sorry for the guys who spent $200 on him... then again, they did that for a lot of POPs which have been re-released.

Wooohoo, just put my order down for Smoker. Thank goodness that I didn't let Ebay tempt me. Now I only need Tashigi in order to be happy - and Vivi and Usopp/Chopper to have a complete collection, but that doesn't really matter to me.
On that note, my November just got considerably more expensive. Oh well.^^

I can't complain on how much my smoker sold for. It's interesting to see other people selling him for $300 plus. I don't know who would buy any POP for that amount. Anyway, I've got another smoker but I think I'll keep it for my collection.

2 days ago i had the highest bid on a Smoker POP. I just ended with a last minute higher bid.
I was unlucky when i saw the Nov restock and my highest bid on the auction. But now iam a happy man

Yeah my sense of timing (or luck) could not have been better. I'm really glad I managed to get rid of it in time and for the amount it sold for. Funny thing is I'll probably pick up the restocks of Smoker, and Bellemere and wait it out until they're rare again and then sell. I have an extra Sogeking for just that reason. There are always people that miss the boat, including myself.
For the same reasons i hope no Usopp/Choppers end up popping up within the next week. Sorry to jinx it for those still waiting for that.

Actually, I think all the POPs are gonna go down in value now. With Smoker suddenly being restocked after years, it's gonna make people think it's not worth to buy the discontinued ones cause they can be restocked. Least, that'll be how it is for awhile.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was thinking about this myself. A lot more people are going to have complete collections now, which isn't a bad thing, but it means less people looking for POPs after they have been discontinued. These restocks do give poeple hope though, thats for sure. Like i said though there's gonna be that select group that will miss the restocks and have to look on ebay, or at least i can hope.:happy:
Edit OT: Is anyone else happy megahouses Bleach line is coming back out. This was one of the series i missed out on so i'm definitely picking them up, especially since the selections not as large as the OP line. Funny thing is i don't want Ichigo, Renji ftw.

I really need to get back into reading Bleach, I say I'm not a fan anymore, but I guess I really do still enjoy the series despite thinking the current arc is shit. I'm really considering getting the Yoruichi restock and the Renji & Matsumoto re-release. Even tho that could buy me three POPs…

I'm not up to get the Bleach line. As most popular shounen, it starts with a good story and then go on the easy way: the story just keeps on doing reasons for having one to one fights. Nevertheless, I'm still keeping a watch on the anime version as it's quite enjoyable, apart from most of the filler arcs.
I'm more enclined to get some Gurren Lagann stuff, those EyeUp figures are pretty good. I just hope they would do other characters than Kamina and Yoko. I've also ordered the related Revoltech action figures, #62 is really terrific.
As for the POP, I got or reserved them all, apart from the old Usopp/Chopper combo. If I can find it at a good price, I'll get it but I won't spend a lot on it. It's not that fancy with those sticks coming out from behind and my most expensive POP (shipping fees excluded) was Smoker for $80 (a pretty good deal one month ago).
Edit: ok, I lied. My actual most expensive POP was Zoro for something like $125, Smoker being my 2nd most expensive. But 3 months ago, the USD/EUR and JPN/EUR rates were very convenient for us, Europeans ;) -

I also need a Yoruichi and a Renji from Bleach. I have Rukia and Ichigo.
I dont really want the other two unless they bring some new cbaracters also.Also there are now the Megahouse re-release from Bleach. But toynami is also coming
with there releases of the same 6 Megahouse Bleach PVC figures.
You can preoder for months now and the release shouldnt be taking long now.Do you think the quality will be the same? The price is also almost the same.
Toynami would mean a lot less shipping cost for me. And maybe also for others here.Iam talking about the PVC figures not the Toynami Bleach Action Figures

No, the Toynami versions are AWFUL. They're horrible bootlegs in comparison. Least that's what it seems like from pictures. They are inches smaller, are not made of PVC, and have a horrible paint job. They'd be fine if you didn't know of the original versions, but they're nothing more than the kinda figures you find in stores in terms of quality.

I ound the Shank P.O.P. figure at the London anime expo today. At my first few expo's I struggled to find OP stuff, but this time there were plenty. Overall I saw a LOT of it in fact (still more Naruto and Bleach who seem to be the only thing on dam sale at some stands). There were 6 P.O.P. figures one could grab today.
Luffy was there too, but he was in a seperate stand to the others and I already had Shanks.
I'm after Brook next (Got Zoro, Vivi and Nami (1) already).

Back to One Piece: who will get Bandai Thousand Sunny DX ? Who'll rather get Banpresto versions of both Merry and TS ? Or none of them ? If you watch closely to the last photo, you'll see a hole on the upper part of the rear pole. Maybe the sail is not there but will be included in the actual released product ? -

Not really after ALL the p.o.ps just really after adult and kid version of the straw hats.
Didnt bother preordering but when i checked this morning seen that kid nami and zoro were low on stock >.< so ive ordered them two. not bothered about nojiko plus im sure she'll be there for a while.
next month will be a bit of a bugger tho. with re-releases of luffy and zoro and the dbzXop p.o.ps. also planning on getting sanji. and with any luck the two ship p.o.ps. which will take a bunch of money lol.. suppose it will be worth in the end when i have a set lol

dunno if this has been mentioned yet. But this morning I found fake versions of the Robin and Sogeking POPs. Just a heads up if you still dont have them that there are fakes of them out there.

Yeah, bootlegs are really cranking out at a pace. A lot of people for example are buying the POP kids and are getting boots because they think "they just came out, there can't be boots yet".

Yes the Robin set boots are vey easy to find on ebay. There are also boots from the Banpresto prize figures since a while now (luffy gear, franky)
There is still more and more coming. Alot of people like to buy cheap figures even if they are not nice. Alot of good feeback for these bootleg sellers
is there. And sometimes negative feedback from someone who says its a bootleg. But what else do you think you get for these cheap prizes.
I know you can be lucky and win a nice figure cheap, but when the store sells 10 for cheap prizes you have to know something is wrong.

Yeah, don't most of them? Isn't the whole point selling a largely lower grade piece of merchandise for the equal or higher price of the official? Most if not all bootlegs comes from Hong Kong sellers, due to that I suggest we make a list of confirmed Hong Kong sellers who only sell legit items. Here's two contributed by wildfury:

it should be easy to see who sells bootleg.
Only in our dream there are sellers with alot of official figures for very low prizes.
But when a bootleg seller use offical figures and ask for a normal prize. Then its not easy but there arent any ? I never seen one.But a list like that is a good idea. Only where do we put the list.

There are actually 3 'secrets', but all of them are just colour variations…which I think is pretty lame :getlost:.
There's the Sunny in your picture, a Goku with a different coloured coat, and a Chopper with different colours. I think the Sunny one was the best of those three.
You got that Jump figure too! I've been thinking about buying that, but I don't really think it's worth $20 including shipping :ninja:.
But do you think the quality's worth it?

About the Jump figure. I like the Figure it has a good size and the arms and legs are movable
Overall quality is nice. And its something nice for the collection. Not just another normal figure
but something special. I paid 36 for two figures shipped (no not two luffy) -

I'd like to have a picture for the Wikia. Its too bad we can't get all the OP fan sites to put up a "bootleg Vs Real" difference page on their sites to warn everyone. I'd love to see that happen. :-(

You should be able to tell a bootleg from a picture, especially if you had seen the real photos (which you kind on most sites, like HLJ). But keep in mind, a lot of bootleg sellers use those same official photos.

well pics helped me figure out my set was a bootleg( 3 years after I bought the set though)
