Furthermore there are 7 routes along GL right?
They've merged into 5 around the red line.
I'd guess most of the strawhats are on islands outside the established routes, but if one or more of them are on islands in other routes, I'd enjoy seeing if any of the Supernovas have left their mark there.
^Basically, all that attention to detail was for naught. It's a fairy tale world with superpowered adventurers. Well, that's what we love about One Piece.
My point exactly. It's impossible to make predictions based on real-life measures/laws/physics, because that's not how Odaverse owrks.
whoa
well this chapter was nice and whats funny is how gregs and malcom defend this chapter
last week i said the focus would sstick on the crew and that we maybe gaining new crew members since alot of them can't travel alone, luffy and zoro example
Malcom you gave a very rude reply to this
yet here you are acting like you like this idea from the begining
greg your sort of funny as well. but i have read your post and at least you could admit you wanted the story with the crew without zoro but are happy with this tho
people can like dislike or even shoot down other members theory its your own right but when you do at least don't be 2 faced about it
well i did like this chapter i rathered it started with Zoro him being the first poofed away but luffy was ok, now im quite sure we may see the crew in the reverse order in which they were sent away, so we'll see zoro last
also i'm not sure if people have realised but Oda seems to be moving away from high numbered 1on 1s n moving to group fights with luffy sanji zoro getting their 1on 1 ussop as well
so adding a few extra members with 1 on the lvl of the top 4 hopefully margret then the crew can have a nice mix of group and 1on1 fights thats why i suggested a crew increase from this mini stories
i believe Oda tends to plan things in advance especially with a story running so long without leaving many plot holes and i remember when we were given the 3 day hide out while many talked about groups i was saying they may all have mini story arcs
wait i was shot down straight away after suggesting it
well i can now understand some peoples bitterness to people on this sight especially with alot of hypocritical but lickers around
They've merged into 5 around the red line.
What's this!? A crucial bit of information that I've missed? Where was this stated?
Takezo, GREAT post! Oda most certainly does consider many real life physics when he creates many aspects but consider that the Strawhats are not so much just flying through the air as they are being carried, hence the 'Kuma Kushion' when they landed. There was an initial force applied that is carrying them along and it's what seems to make their 'flight' possible since they do not appear to be travelling too fast.
I completely agree that it's useless to venture an accurate guesstimate and that ultimately they've travelled exactly as far as Oda wants them to travel but from my post and from the manga, we have two unrefutable points:
1. Luffy was travelling much faster than a normal ship would. The accompanying sound effects add weight to this observation.
2. Luffy's path/speed did not seem to be affected by environmental factors. Wind, altitude, air pressure, etc.
3. He appears to have traveled at this rate for less than 24 hours but more than 12.
When we consider that Luffy will probably find himself entangled in some hijinks on the island, let's say his adventure lasts until the next morning, this gives him little time to get back to Sabaody on time. Not like we have any big time limit to concern ourselves with, it's open season and there's no proof they'll even return there. For all we know, Rayleigh could finish the ship and take it out to sea and wait for them. However, what I'm suggesting is, that if they are going to protect the time 'limit' they'll find somewhat…unique...methods of returning to one location.
greg your sort of funny as well. but i have read your post and at least you could admit you wanted the story with the crew without zoro but are happy with this tho
Neo, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. I'm 'sort of funny' why? Because I enjoyed the chapter because it did something unexpected? That's funny? Your posts continue to baffle me each week. They're like a code where the solution always leads to a facepalm.
This begs the question, where the shit are the others? Are they just as far away IF not further? Furthermore there are 7 routes along GL right? We have 9 members. If they were all sent to different routes, either some of them have doubled up or if EVERYONE is separate, that means they'll be set TWO islands back in some cases. […]
Consider Nami has their log port, as the speed of charging up to another route differs at each island she must be in a total stress situation -> leave that island before their former route changes
What more is significant: "how will the others land !?" I mean it's not clear whether Luffy survived this hard landing because of his gum body or because of something like an "air pillow" (In Luffys case it's more likely the gum body, but well the others [..]). Even if they land on water it can break their bones…
Consider Nami has their log port, as the speed of charging up to another route differs at each island she must be in a total stress situation -> leave that island before their former route changes
Ooh! Nifty observation! I'm sure Oda will find a way to deal with it though. They'll probably have Hacchan waiting and he'll be better than any Log.
Regarding the other comment, Oda basically said via Luffy that the air cushion made it so he could land safely and it had nothing to do with him being rubber. The others….should....be okay.

That certainly seems to explain the "absurd" trajectory very well… And fits in with kuma's power, as well as the landing crater. Nice thinking
Perhaps this trajectory is made of the "flying" person's own instinct/subconscious/inner desire, or similar, that is guiding them to a place "they want to go" (as kuma asks). Oda could certainly find a play on words to suit this and Kuma's power. I actually believe, now, that this is the case.
Sorry about any mistakes making my posts hard to read (my english still needs quite some study). Best regards.

The "chose one of the five paths" is a translator mistake since she's talking about the beginning of the GL, but the picture shows the routes gradually merging, and there's just 5 crossing the red line.

ignore me
im on my random rant about things
mainly pissed off which malcom the guy is being a complete hypocrit about this chapter when i mentioned the idea last week he was quite rude to be about it
but just ignore me lol
Okay, hands up. Who thinks this turn of events was the surprise Oda hinted at way back in December?
I'd agree if it turns out that this will be a run of short stories rather then another over a dozen chapter long arc. Because if it remains an arc thing, then it doesn't surprise me as much as the revelation of the coating engeneers true identity in chapter 500.
However if Oda did this (as I hope) to write some little short stories of just for the fun of it and making it part of OP canon then it truly would be justyfied to call this the surprise because of the new concept. That said, with 8 remaining Strawhats we have enough space for totally new places/stories like Amazon Lily aswell as the option to re-use some wanted stories. Just imagine Brook meeting Guko (the priest from Ikki Yakko), Nami meeting Bran (from God's Gift to the Future) or Usopp meeting Gill Bastar. Well, just thinking out loud (and weird).

Same picture much earlier on.

Well, it's an explicable power that we'll know the details of somehow and I don't think it's going to go that route (although it could) so much as that Kuma's rejection may be fine-tuned to send someone where he pleases. There's simply no way it could be random and although I'd admit Oda could pull it off, I wouldn't be in the camp that believes it's somehow related to their mind.
And yet…there is that scene where Moria blows off Kuma saying he 'understands' his 'power'.
Khameleon, thank you so much for bringing that up! I COMPLETELY forgot about that. However, I'm reluctant to say that map as is, is canon. Those kind of diagrams have proven in the past to be more of an illustration to aid us, rather than provide concrete data.
However, I would argue in your favor that since such connections were actually drawn and later duplicated, that even if the number of islands along the route and the pathes are not exact, there must be some merging involved and it must be considered as a factor.
I'd agree if it turns out that this will be a run of short stories rather then another over a dozen chapter long arc. Because if it remains an arc thing, then it doesn't surprise me as much as the revelation of the coating engeneers true identity in chapter 500.
I somehow feel robbed. I remember you mentioning what an impact this scene had on you and…it just didn't hit me that way. I dunno, maybe I expected something like it? I mean I remember where and when I read it, which is always a good sign when gauging impact, but...I dunno. I kind of missed the boat on that one and feel left out.
I think the most surprising panel(s) of OP for me will forever be the CP9. I just. Just. No. Just. Yeah.
Followed then by Luffy's grandfather reveal. The Rayleigh reveal was very cool, but it felt right. Like its time had come.
Regarding the other comment, Oda basically said via Luffy that the air cushion made it so he could land safely and it had nothing to do with him being rubber. The others….should....be okay.
OK, I didn't interpret the pages before well. Luffys statement was "It looks like I'm alive because I'm rubber." I jumped on wrong conclusions[..] Happens ..
Leviathan,
Hmm, so-so translation's fault perhaps? He says, "It doesn't look like I'm alive just because I'm rubber."
btw, random-ass comment here but, is anyone else grateful that they're currently reading OP? I mean really. Yes, sure, you can read a series straight through. You can sit down and power through onemanga.net over a long weekend and go from Chapter 1-514 but….how fortunate are we to be reading it from week to week like this? Seriously. It's the anticipation that makes it. I mean I mentioned the CP9 reveal thing above and that whole bit is like what? 2 volume's worth of material? That's like 2-3 hours max of reading but here we pondered it for MONTHS!!!! Man, I'm happy to be a OP fan right now.
However, I'm reluctant to say that map as is, is canon. Those kind of diagrams have proven in the past to be more of an illustration to aid us, rather than provide concrete data.
Agreed. I would have mentioned this myself if I was less lazy. But since the Red Line is basically the only landmark there, I'm inclined to think that the number of routes crossing it is accurate.

Well, I don't think that you have to feel left out. It's just a personal thing. I always held the flashback first mate in high honors and was totally surprised to see him actually appear in the story and then even in that way. I mean I really screamed at home while reading that part.^^
I think the most surprising panel(s) of OP for me will forever be the CP9. I just. Just. No. Just. Yeah.
That one somehow didn't surprise me that much since the kicks the masked guys threw at the opponents made me immediately think of Kalifa. While I didn't expect the other three I wasn't surprised at the concept of traitors. However one of my biggest just-no-just-yeah moments came a couple of chapters later with the revelation of Cutty Flam's true identity. Sometimes I wish I could erase my memory in order to read such scenes again to make the same experience.
Anyways, as I said, I don't disagree with you. If the twist follows down the line I mentioned then I'm sure this is the surprise because it's not just a plot twist but a (short-lived) twist on the story structure which is new and surprising. At least I'm hoping for it.
On a different note: I'm sure people have mentioned something like that already but I'd like to throw it out just in case. I think that these entire other places Kuma sends people too are probably like games that need to be beat in order to make a safe return. I mean the 3 days are over already, so the Strawhats could return and continue their journey to Fishman Island. But it probably isn't as easy as that and the Kuma-Bible-Adventures (this is what I think they are) have to be successfully mastered before they can return. Well, just another whack thought as the shortstory idea.^^
That one somehow didn't surprise me that much since the kicks the masked guys threw at the opponents made me immediately think of Kalifa. While I didn't expect the other three I wasn't surprised at the concept of traitors.
Agreed. Actually from the first moment I saw her I knew something was up. That strange kick she did the first time she was talking with the group was just way too odd to be a joke on his part.
I mean the 3 days are over already, so the Strawhats could return and continue their journey to Fishman Island.
I'm not so sure about this. At least not yet. Sentoumaru said 3 days but…have they really been flying three days? We saw nothing to indicate that at least Luffy was in the air more than 24 hours. Plus even though he was hungry when he landed, that didn't seem like a 3-days-starved Luffy to me. If he'd gone three days without food he would probably have devoured the boar whole before he even landed ^O^
And yes, it could turn out to be so, but the panels seem to indicate his travel was overnight. Perhaps the three days is the max of Kuma's ability giving him something of a limit.

I agree completely with this! I first started reading One Piece as the volumes come out, and I continued on that way for at least twenty volumes. I didn't even think to try and find scans from Weekly Jump. I thought that was an impossibility. When I finally realized that I could read a chapter within the same week that it came out I was amazed! It changed the way that I looked at the story entirely. Every chapter mattered so much more when it was read week by week. So yeah, I'm most definitely grateful to be reading it every week!
On the original topic:
I'm still really happy with all these new character designs. From Duval to the Tenryuubito to The Rookies to Shakki to Rayleigh to Kizaru to the Amazons all of them are absolutely fantastic! Oda has given us so many awesome characters this arc! I haven't felt this excited about new characters since Water 7! わくわくするぞ!
I wonder why Marguerite (which I just learned is how you spell her name, not Margaret) didn't have an introduction box despite having a full page introductory shot?
I'm not so sure about this. At least not yet. Sentoumaru said 3 days but…have they really been flying three days? We saw nothing to indicate that at least Luffy was in the air more than 24 hours. What the…? You're smurfing right! My mind is playing tricks on me since I thought I read it in the chapter itself that three days have passed. Ok, then screw that idea. Or perhaps not since the beat-the-game thing could still work. ^^

Hello!
Long time reader, frist time poster…soooo, let's see...
While reading this thread I couldn't help but thinking:
What's up with this "3 Day Concept" you're all sticking to?
Wasn't this thrown over board the moment Rayleigh entered the brawl and started to take care of Kizaru?
The SHP probably did not spend 3 days flying in the sky, but how could Rayleigh possibly finish the coating job in 3 days now? While he went in to assist the Strawhats, there was no one, that could have started the job for him - we did see Shakky chilling in her bar in this very chapter. And looking at the situation right now, Kizaru's main target is gone...
At the same time he said something along the lines of "your sins will never disappear" to Rayleigh, so we're having the vice captain of the Pirate King right in front of an Admiral, who just seems to have nothing to do at the moment. AND we have Garp coming at Rayleigh, too. This guy is in serious trouble, even if Luffy and Co manage to come back in the 3 Days, Rayleigh has to get rid of an Admiral, the Pacifista, Sentoumaru and a Vice Admiral (who is a Marine Legend) first before he can start coating the Thousand Sunny, which alone takes 3 days...
I think the Strawhat Pirates can take as much time as they need to come back under such circumstances...because they left Rayleigh in some serious shit there.
Reading the various post an idea came to me quite convincing. As some have noted seems that rufy has traveled a day and a night landing on the type of mattress-shaped imprint. Be ready …. According to me all the crew members will gather exactly where they are missing( the islands shabondy) and now i'll explain why. I start from the premise that kuma somehow wanted to save the pirates from a sure death, giving them a while and then making them disappear for a little from the battlefield. Most likely kuma selected absolutely not random destinations. We know that kuma appeared in the islands shabondi. What I think is that kuma can move only in the islands where he was or where there is a "brand" that would be the imprint. I mean that, since it would be impossible for him to make directly an all-around-trip over the planet to a person, he thought well to send all members in locations that allow you to go back to the starting point with a maximum of 3 flights (day and night). The imprint is the means through which you can do all of this. I think it is actually a species of unknown dial that stores energy when someone falls on it and releases this energy when it is activated, maybe if you jump on it. At this point everything would be more understandable.
my english sucks..i know :) sorry about that
NightGrinder, great observations but this goes back to a few comments I made a week or so ago.
Kizaru speaks to Rayleigh as if he were a superior. This is no solid proof for anything but it would seem Rayleigh is in a superior position perhaps because of a past connection. furthermore, take note that Kuma went out of his way to inform Rayleigh of his actions prior to taking out the whole crew. I suggested this might be because Kuma knows Rayleigh stands a chance of besting him AND Kizaru should he feel like it. Informing him of the actions allowed him to act freely.
Long story short, Rayleigh seems like he can take care of himself.
So the three days still applies, it's simply a matter of whether or not Oda wants it to take three days. Which he could just as easily decide against. Just food for thought.
Oda's genius strikes again
There's a something I've noticed when Luffy lands.
The thing is..he DOESN'T!
If you look again, he appears to stop in mid-air in the 8th page middle panel (as shown by the lines around him to indicate hovering) and in that instant, the paw mark is implanted into the ground.
This seems to coincide with Greg's opinion that Luffy was carried. In this case, it would be by an invisible paw-shaped current that cushioned his fall as he landed with it.
Yeppers, he bounces up.
Check this out….All 9 SH were scaterred in different places all over GL. The only way to find each other is by using biblicard (or vivrecard). Does anyone else thinks that this arc is inspired by Dragonball?
Most of the things in OP are inspired by Dragonball. Yup, this is probably a homage to the Dragon God and the seven dragonballs.

First thing, welcome aboard!^^
Second thing, valid arguments you bring but just as Greg said Rayleigh seems to be able to take care of himself. A) He managed to remain hidden ever since the Roger Pirates disbanded. Furthermore he even succeeded in staying undercover right next to the Marine HQ. B) Borsalino himself said that it'd be troublesome to capture a guy like Rayleigh right now. C) Borsalino still has two other targets with Law and Kidd, so it's not like he doesn't have any priorities anymore. D) Rayleigh himself said that he's going to take Sunny with him at a safe place.
Even without all that we know that the Strawhats will get the ship coated by Rayleigh. That was clear from the very start. These little tidbits only show hints by Oda how it will function with all the crap that is going on at Sabaody at the moment. I don't know how Rayleigh will manage it but I have zero doubts that in three days Sunny will be ready waiting for the Strawhats to arrive. The more interesting question is, what else will await them?

With all due respect for the effort of a scanslation team, you shouldn't really go with Binktopias translations when you want to understand the meaning of a statement. They screw up every once in a while and this chapter is yet another one of those examples. Just check their version of the chapters title for yet another example. Stuff like that can happen.
Is it just me, or is OP taking the ninja approach to turning the series into a ki/energy based form of fighting?
What have we got?
Shanks can send sea dragons running off. He can cause hardened grown men to lose consciousness in his presence and destroy matter just from his so-called 'ambition'.
Luffy now seems to be dipping his feet in the water with this ability and Rayleigh can fucking snipe you with it.
Now just a few chapters back we learn that Roger couldn't read the Poneglyph and yet he heard the 'voice of all things'?
I'm starting to get a real Lifestream/ki vibe goin' on here.
I won't suggest we'll see planet destroying energy beams anytime soon, but there's definitely something brewing in Oda Inc.

[…] I didn'T want to blame anyone .. Sure such a thing can happen..
I just wanted to show Greg what I meant .. Peace brother ?
If it's already been three days, has Ace been executed already? Have the Warlords fought Whitebeard yet? Is Ussop in Elbaf? These are questions I ponder.
First of all… this ki stuff is rather like saiyans battle spirit. Seems like its the qualification for top dog of the new world. Mastering it will turn you from padawan to Jedi master.
Now, using ki to destroy your enemy is not an Oda original. This part happens in all action manga. Take samurai deeper kyo for example. Ki plays an important role there. The stronger you are, the easier you can disable the enemy spirit with only using your killing intent.
So rather than say OP started using Ki for battle, its better to say OP finally used the Ki for fighting.
Hey..it's all about half-full or half-empty...
If it's already been three days, has Ace been executed already? Have the Warlords fought Whitebeard yet? Is Ussop in Elbaf? These are questions I ponder.
i think the oda wants to remove the strawhats from the wb vs wg situation
As much as I think the new plot was neccessary to make One Piece even greater, Oda may have picked the wrong time for it. Okay, the Straw Hats losing badly just before the New World is a shocker and nice to see (that the crew aren't invincible); but Oda hyped us all about Fishmen Island and the New World, I think it would have been better for the SHs to lose in the New World, as badly as they just have. But then again, the rush from the Admiral was a great few chapters, especially when Apoo jumped in… it fits to a certain standard to have this twist now, but when will we ever see Fishmen Island?!
A lot of people think that Oda is going to show the rest of the crew, but I hope he doesn't. It just feels better to use Luffy only, being the main character, and include the rest of the crew in a few chapters (let Luffy's mini storyline build). A great reunion would be if Luffy was half beaten or something, and losing, then to have Zoro and Sanji find him and save him... or something similar (suprise entrances which make fanboys piss themselves in excitement).
But I know what people are waiting for most, and I think it wont come until the next major arc finishes... Shichibukai vs Whitebeard Pirates.
I won't suggest we'll see planet destroying energy beams anytime soon, but there's definitely something brewing in Oda Inc.
Anytime soon does the trick because I think the Ancient Weapons could be able to do so. I know, that's not what you meant but I just had to throw it in with that context.^^
And yes I think they can do that, since I take it that those moons on Clovers globe were really moons of the OP world that got completely destroyed. And the Grand Line is what formed out the pieces that fell down.^^
[…] I didn'T want to blame anyone .. Sure such a thing can happen..
I just wanted to show Greg what I meant .. Peace brother ?
Whoopsie, didn't mean to sound rude. Sorry if I came over across like that. Just wanted to address the matter of translation mistakes. As you said, they can happen. Peace indeed.
I think one reason Oda separated the crew out to show more of the OP world. Otherwise, he would have had to drag the whole crew to a lot of different islands. Now, each crew member can have a mini-adventure and give us a taste of some more wacky places.
Kizaru's tone seemed more respectful, if anything. He was completely willing to take Rayleigh in, as well, and seemed pretty confident of his ability to do so.
I'm not gonna speculate on Kuma's motives, though, until we know everything that's going on with this plan of his.
So rather than say OP started using Ki for battle, its better to say OP finally used the Ki for fighting.
I don't believe I suggested otherwise.
Anytime soon does the trick because I think the Ancient Weapons could be able to do so. I know, that's not what you meant but I just had to throw it in with that context.^^
You BET your OP-lovin' ass I'm with you on that! I have long…..LOOOOOONG been of the mind that the Ancient Weapons are bad-mother-fucking-ass ultra modern devices.
Waaaaay before we even had Ener's adventures on the moon I suggested OP could reach space via the means of the weapons. And at the time, the very idea was ridiculed. Well, we have had an ark that reached the moon, a scientist making cyborgs and possibly clones and the potential for the weapons to be something not only of this (OP) earth seems very possible.
Kizaru's tone seemed more respectful, if anything.
Right, which is what I said. I said 'a superior' not 'superior'. I suppose I wasn't entirely clear, but that's exactly my point.
Just thought of something. Nami, log pose, new island. If she is on an island still within the Grand Line and the pose sets quickly, there could be trouble. Though they know they can reach Fishman Island from Shabondy Archipelago without having the direction of the log pose, they would waste precious time trying to find it. (By precious time, I mean how ever long the coating lasts.)
i think the oda wants to remove the strawhats from the wb vs wg situation
Oh absolutely! I'm just throwing out ideas of things we could or could not see next.
I dont remember exactly but I think the snakes the amazonesses wear resemble the snakes from Disney's "Jungle Book" cartoon. That's pretty much all I have to add this week.
Is it just me, or is OP taking the ninja approach to turning the series into a ki/energy based form of fighting?
To me it seems Oda had this planned from the beginning, since Shanks used it in the first chap. All Oda did was take a very long time to reveal it, it's possible it could've been rushed or he just wanted to give more hints to it so ppl wouldn't get lost.
It's been used a great deal once they got on SA and has been given a name. I wouldn't call it a ninja approach and there isn't much indication that it'll be used or adapted in major fights. So far its simply for the fodder/henchmen/lackeys.
As for guessing where the other Shs ended up if they aren't on the same island as Luffy. The most logical places are clearly wrong unless Luffy ending up on an Amazon island makes sense. So putting Shs in predictable/cliche' situations like Sanji in a place where ppl need food or Chopper in a place where there are sick ppl most likely won't happen. This is an obvious case of expect the unexpected.
I called it a ninja approach because in your own words:
To me it seems Oda had this planned from the beginning, since Shanks used it in the first chap. All Oda did was take a very long time to reveal it, it's possible it could've been rushed or he just wanted to give more hints to it so ppl wouldn't get lost.
Exactly, like a sealthy ninja attack. It's always been there, and if you looked hard enough you'd find traces of it, but eventually it leaps out and reveals itself.
I dont remember exactly but I think the snakes the amazonesses wear resemble the snakes from Disney's "Jungle Book" cartoon. That's pretty much all I have to add this week.
Totally hit me the same way.

Oh I misunderstood I thought you meant ninja as in some Naruto/Kekkashi version of spirit.
I actually screamed out loud when I saw the spoiler, it was too much for me to handle. ^^
For me, I always cared most about who will be the next nakama, and Marguarite looks like a very promising candidate, even though we have barerly seen her, it' only the name I don't fancy that much, sounds like an old lady…
From now on I think we will either see some short stories about all the characters and how they get back,(Franky better be at Mecha Island!!) Or we could get into a bigger story arc with Luffy re assembling all of his crew, Maybe Amazon Lilly is just an island in a chain of connecting islands.
I got confused about one thing, the amazons mention that Luffy is probably from the village, is the place where he was washed the village or maybe there could be some kind of village that isnt populated by amazons? And is there several tribes of amazons? Since they are warrior people they must fight somebody, right?

I'm guessing the village is pretty big and they don't know even though they live there they don't know everyone, especially every child. They initially thought Luffy was a girl(covered in mushrooms). Soon enough they started seeing the hints that Luffy was not a girl(no breast, nobody recognized him). There's a chance there is another village though but basically they found what they thought was a little girl who was covered in mushrooms near the village.

I honestly think Oda-sensei hints at things but doesnt make final decisions until the last second based on what he's said and the way things in the story just pop out and surprise you. And I get the feeling he goes back into the story and references obscure things from his own story: Shanks using the aura thing, Captain John being mentioned by Buggy hundreds of chapters ago and then again recently in the Thriller Bark arc, Garp turning out to be related to Luffy, Hatchi showing up, Laboon connection, etc.
Do I think he planned to have a skeleton musician in the crew? Yeha, he said he planned a skeleton musician pretty early on,but do I think he planned out Brooke's entire story and Thriller Bark way back when he was doing the Arlong arc or the Baratie one? Ofcourse not. He's definetly got big plans for Shanks, Whitebeard, Blackbeard, and Dragon though. Which is why he's avoiding bringing them out to play. Once certain things are revealed and he sets certain storylines in motion, it'll be the signal that One Piece is coming to an end soon. (Soon probably being 2-3 years tho!)XD
