Gotta go with Jimbei…since we know nothin bout him..

Though i prefer Moria's backstory…I like Crocodile's design and DF ability more.Knowing me though i'll probaly like Jinbei.I love characters with unique designs and seen as though he's most likely a 'Whale Shark' Fishman i'm sure Oda has given him an awesome appearance.
-
Most of them so far are cool like Crocodile, Mihawk, Blackbeard and Doflamingo but others like Moria and im not too fond of the Bear guy yet and i havent seen a lot of jimbei so i cant really vote on him. but if i had to choose one it would probaly be Blackbeard because of his power and how much trouble he could cause the strawhats in the future
-
Definetely Hawk eye Mihawk, cause hes the strongest (my opinion). His swordsmanship is equivalent to that of shanks, who is a Yonkou. If Shanks is equivelant to Whitebeard and silver rayleigh, this means he can stop admirals which proves he is a top tier.
-
1.Sir Crocodile "Mr.0" - Really it's gotta be the ol' Croc for his awesome Suna Suna abilities, pimp coat and of course his very bling hook.
2.Bartholomew Kuma "Tyrant" - Anyone who can look that cool carrying a bible is badass.
3.Dracule Mihawk "Hawk-eye" - Very cool and so strong that people falsely percieve him to have the power of a devil's fruit. Slides down the list because we all know Zoro gonna slice him up santoryu style eventually.
4.Marshall D. Teach "Blackbeard" - Incredible powers of the Yami Yami no mi but his goofy rolling around on fire when fighting Ace sends him down the list.
5.Gecko Moria "King of the Depths" - Once again cool powers of the Kage kage no mi but not very strong himself, and his laugh is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
6.Donquixote Doflamingo - Cool power but we haven't really seen enough of him and he killed bellamy..tut tut.
7.Jimbei - Hasn't been curteous enough to make an appearance.
-
1. bartholemew kuma
1. backbeard!!!2. gecko moria
3. hawkeyes mihawk
4. donquesete doflamingo
5. crockodile
6. jimbale(whalefish)
7. unnamed member…
Thats how my list goes!!
-
My favorite will always be Mihawk.
-
1. Doflamingo
2. Kuma
3. Mihawk
4. Blackbeard
5. Moria
-
All the Shichibukais are awesome
My order:
1. Doflamingo - His powers (so far) is the strongest I've seen in One Piece. And his personality makes me like him even more.
2. Crocodile - I like the looks he got on his face.
3. Gecko Moria - Cool powers and interesting back story.
4. Jimbei - A fishman is always cool.
5. Mihawk - …
6. Bartholomew Kuma - I kinda hate that he always show up when the SHs are in a weak state. And his personality is meh in my opinion.
7. Unknown - Hope he/she shows up soon.
-
my fav is prob kuma i just like his paw paw fruit and the fact that his a cyborg
-
1. Kuma because of his devil fruit powers and design.
2. Crocodile because of his plan to take over Alabasta and his "fight" with Luffy.
3. Doflamingo because of his character and his views on dreams. -
@Pospercato:
Okay, let's give a twist to my theory..
The last schichibukai will be so ubber because she will be a woman with the ability to control Men like an Ant Queen would control other ants.Seriously, an ability like that would be pretty dangerous in the so manly era of Pirates, plus that would be a nice chance for Oda to give more serious spotlight to Nami, Robin and Chopper.
Wow that would be terrible. Finally introducing a pwnsome women into OP and then giving her a sex-related power would completely ruin it. Sadly that's also why i can see it actually happen.
DFs are becoming too important anyway. A women with no DF or just a solid Zoan would be nice. Let her have spirit pressure like Shanks and we're ready for take-off.
-
^^ Not bad. Between the two of you, you called a woman with a sex-related power that can more than likely use spirit pressure*. At least her power doesn't ruin anything for me =)
- What is this, Bleach?
-
Huh? Yes Bleach. Well, imo still a great chapter in art and story. Now cut the crap and go bust some heads girl!
-
@$abZ:
I don't think the WG expect one Shichibukai and their crew to defeat a Yonkou crew.
Of course, don't you get the new chapt? The WG needs ALL the 7 shishibukai + ALL the 3 admirals to defeat only one of them.
my opinion Law will be the one to defeat mihawk. he is a "swordsman" and that would be one hell of a fight (law traflagar vs roronoa zoro). u never no it could happen, why settle for one title when u can be both pirate king and worlds best swordsman.
Law VS Zoro?
You still don't get Law, he will end Mihawk or Zoro in no time. -
don't you get the new chapt?
Depends on what you mean with new:

For people still connecting the 7 Shichibukai to the Seven Deadly sins, the newest Shichibukai definitely fills the lust compartment.
-
to me she fills up all seven sins except for anger
-
@ultimateclima:
For people still connecting the 7 Shichibukai to the Seven Deadly sins, the newest Shichibukai definitely fills the lust compartment.
Only in regards to ppl lusting for her, she hasn't been seen to be hedonistic….........yet!
She's way more prideful of her beauty, or even greedy when it comes to wanting to be shichi even though she doesn't want to fight in the war.
The shichi and 7 deadly sins became a little irrelevant ever since Croc lost position and BB came in seeing as it's not like the deadly sins those two might rep are the same....
-
I suspect there is some pattern to the animal them these guys have based on the order they were first introduced. Now crocodile is still on the list because well I have no idead what BB's animal them is I suspect a hippo but we dont know just yet so anywho this is what we have so far.
Mihawk-Hawk
Jimbei-Whale Shark
Crocdile-Crocodile
Kuma-Bear
Flamingo-Flamingo
Geko Moria-Geko
Hancok-SnakeI dont know what the theme is I just get the feeling that there is one. what do you all think?
-
Why do you think there's a theme.
-
This should be in the shichibukai thread…...
I dont know what the theme is I just get the feeling that there is one. what do you all think?
Maybe it's a theme of animals?….....
-
my bad Zik Im still learning the set up of the site and yes I know its an animal theme I mean the animals themselves have some sort of pattern to theme. I doubt there is but I just feel like there might be so if you got any ideas say so is all Im sayin.
-
You guys, there's a reason a whole separate thread is still open regarding the Shichibukai's strengths. So anything else other than that regarding them can be discussed here.
So please take this whole discussion regarding Moria's abilities and how much and shadows he could take in to the right topic.
-
Dunno if this is talked about, but from what we see so far, the Shichibukai has at least a tragic past, at least Crocodile and Moria. Crocodile implied that he was also a dream chaser like Luffy but gave up after realizing the hardship of the sea. Moria once had valuable crewmates who he love so much, but they were all killed thus driving him to make an army of zombie. Kuma was said to be a tyrant, but become obedient for some reason. I think Doflamingo could've very well be a happy dream chaser too, but they were crushed at one point thus making him his current personality.
-
1. Bartholomew Kuma:
He is my absolute favrioute Shichibukai right now. I love his look and attitude but the best thing are his devil fruit power and his attacks. Even though he said he would never see Luffy again, i hope he's wrong but if he's right i hope we get at least to see him in the battle against Whitebeard again or in another side story.2. Crocodile:
He is the ultimate bad guy, his look screams badass mafia boss. He is THE One Piece villain so far, when i first started reading One Piece i thought Crocodile would be the final villain and the manga would be over when he is defeated. I was so surprised when it just kept going and the SHP reached Jaya.3. Blackbeard:
I think he will be Luffys final villain and you just got to love his devil fruit power. What i don't like is the goofy weakness of his powers, i don't want to see this kind of goofiness in the final battle in one piece.4. Gecko Moria:
When he was first fully shown in the manga i absolutely hated his design because i didn't want one of those butt ugly deformed characters like Wapol or Wanze be a Shichibukai but his design and especially his laid back personality grew on me very fast. I love his devil fruit power and how Moria seems to have perfectly mastered it. I think he may be the person who best mastered his devil fruit power from all people we have seen so far in the whole manga.5. Dracule Mihawk:
What i saw so far from him is all pretty likable but not enough to rank him higher in this list. I hope he doesn't have a devil fruit ability and is just a swordsman just like Zoro.6. Boa Hancock:
Her personality seems likable but her powers seem kinda lame so far but i have to wait for the next few chapters to really be able to judge her.7. Donquixote Doflamingo:
I need to see more but right now he kinda feels like Crocodile lite. He seems to be able to control other persons, i think he may have the puppeteer devil fruit.8. Jimbei:
Well we don't now anything except his name. If he really is a whale-shark like many people are except, i can imagine him looking very cool. -
Crocodile and Moria right now.
Crocodile is always gonna be a legendary villain in the series for me. I like him for pretty much the same reasons others have stated.
As for Moria, I really didn't like him at first. He seemed boring and weak, and I didn't much care for his design at first either. However, he finally grew on me when he started fleshing out his shadow powers. Now, I think he's one of the most original characters in the series.
-
I like Kuma the best then Mihawk too
-
^ Moria was already losing that battle the minute the lost Oz. Nightmare Luffy overpowered him, and in jealously of him losing to his own power, he overpowered himself to a point he lost control of all those shadows. The only fighting in that battle, was the fight agiant time. Bad writing? Both sides were losing.
-

Not really since Moria with 1000 shadows was stronger then Oz.

How in the world would he lose control of those shadows when Moria's "power is ruling the shadows!?" bad writing not to mention he didn't even make use of his other combat abilities.
Oda handed Moria poorly.

Moria was pushed passed his limits….then he tried to control 1000 shadows....seems like it will be a failure no matter how you try to slice it. Moria went crazy with power....
-
Still crying about the a$$ whipping I gave you in the Naruto discussion thread, huh? NE ways
I don't do what you claim, and you don't have to be an expert to know sh8t writing when it smells like sh8t. Moria vs Luffy I just hope Oda don't do another World Power member like that. Not really (seeing as that ass-whipping was non-existent anyway), I just find the irony hilarious that you claim to be such an expert at being able to tell apart good writing from bad. I really don't think you'll be judging any Pulitzer prizes any time soon. Also, I really wish you'd try sniffing around at Naruto like you do with other series rather than closing your nose and swallowing all the crap that series has.
But carry on making yourself look like an idiot;)
Oh and what Hiroy and Almost said.
-

Crazy with power he can and should have be able to control but he could not.
Poor job Oda.

This is coming from someone who is from the church of Oda.
-

Sigh, he can control the shadows to put them in his body but he can't change his body to take that much power. Luffy barely managed to take 100 shadows, Moria shouldn't have been able to fare much better.

Oda handed Moria poorly.
First of all, his body was already badly injured. Secondly 1000 Shadows was just too much shadows. If he knew he could have strong like you imagined, he would have not needed Odz or an entire army of zombies to handle the control of the shadows for him to begin with.
Well, even if he was in top condition, he probably would not have handled all those shadows anyways.

1000 shadows is too much for a guy who has a special power with shadows? Do you not see anything wrong with that?
Well, even if he was in top condition, he probably would not have handled all those shadows anyways.
Thats an even bigger problem.
Come on guys. Take Moria and your other arguments elsewhere. We don't want the thread closed because of your little disputes.
Sure.

The special power to CONTROL them not change his body to handle all those shadows:/
-
Blah… Forget it. I do not remember TB being about a sadistic warlord that wanted to fulfill his goals by powering up himself with shadows. He needed corpses for that that goal. Shadow's Asgard of that magnitude was simply a desperation move because he have already lost everything.
I end that there instead of beating an already dead horse of an argument.

@ Jinbei
-
You can't say someone handled a character poorly when it's their own character.
-
Every devil fruit user has limits on their ability via control, power, etc. Crocodile has complete control over sand due to his suna suna no mi, but you didn't see him controlling the entire Alabastian desert did you? Of course not, because there are limits. You seem to be a fan of naruto so allow me to use Gaara as an example. Gaara, a ninja known to be able to bend sand to his will. In his battle vs. Deidara in the hidden sand village, which also happens to be a desert, Gaara couldn't control the entire desert to his will. Kishi even understands that there are limits. So you can't argue and say Oda handled Moria poorly just because he couldn't control 1000 shadows.

On topic
This is 1 of the chapters why I love one piece so much. The chapter didn't even involve any fighting and it measured up to a chapter that did! Man, I can't wait for the next. This is truely looking to be a full scale war.

I get your general point but yes you can.
I'll also use a Naruto example, Orochimaru was handled horribly post time skip. He was reduced to mere cannon fodder from being the series main antagonist, that is undoubtedly poor handling on Kishimoto's part. Anyway, back to Moria. I can agree with you there, there has to be some limit to the power of any given individual. Moria over exerted himself because he tried to do something that was above his capacity.

Not to mention the beating he had just taken from Nightmare Luffy. Dude was KO'd for a few minutes there.

Why is it even a question that Moria lost at that certain moment? It was clearly said by the author (through Zoro's words) that they've already won the fight with Moria while they were confronting Nightmare Moria. The only thing they were fighting then was time. Morias downfall was inevitable at that point.

Yea Moria lost his cool and went wild, not giving himself the chance basically making himself lose.
@brennen.exe:Not to mention the beating he had just taken from Nightmare Luffy. Dude was KO'd for a few minutes there.
Although they both played a role I'd say Moria wouldn't be in as a bad state if he just took that beating. When he went over the top with the shadows he sealed his own fate and made it clear he'd lose. Every time Luffy's opponents lose their cool they lose the fight.
To me it's another case of Luffy beating somebody due to their inability to keep their cool and stay in the fight. Anytime you see somebody jump to their super move out of anger it's a T.K.O.

Whitebeard and crew vs all of the World Government, Marines, and Shichibukai is not going to be much of a war if its Whitebeards crew alone. Blackbeard by himself is poised to defeat Whitebeard.
-
Zoro fought with Ryuuma who got Brook's shadow….
Aww....there's just so many who wants to be the Pirate king....just can't imagine Moria attending the Shichibukai meeting....and just imagine him gossiping with Kuma...haha....;0
the fight in Thriller Bark was really nice,...just thought they couldn't make it at first...
But THEY'RE DEFINITELY STRAWHAT PIRATES!haha...they live by their reputation....... -
I even Named myself after the one & only Kuma,
The Tracksuit-wearing, Bible-holding, Cyborg Bear with the power to push anything -
will jinbei have a df power or will he be the exception (along with mihawk, i think), and just be extremely powerful?
