Wow, this ones gonna be a long one. A gave it some time cause I didn't want to respond to soon, but apperantly I wait too long. I'll reply in bold in to your quotes since that is what will be easiest for me, except the last one since it already has bold parts in it. See below:
@Zkaiser:
So why will Law and Kidd fight the SH's before entering the New World? Yes because they are about to face Kizaru+Pasifista and get taken down, after that they will want to face the SH crew for all the trouble they caused for the SR.
They were buddy-buddy just recently.
Whut?:wassat:
There is, as of now, no reason for any of the rookies to want to gang up on the SH's. Except for revenge, just like I have been saying.
Some might fight them later or another reason, but to fight them because they summoned an admiral is the silliest reason for a fight. No, the silliest reason for fighting is because someone got confused for you on a wanted poster. That or because someone shot someone else's horse. The reason for fighting here is hardly silly. One Piece is all about being silly, but not when it starts to make a mockery of itself.How is this a mockery of One Piece? The reason this is going to happen is because 1 on 1 fights are the best for making sure the fights are intresting and showing of power
@freedom:
I guess I phrased my argument poorly, so let me try to explain what I meant. It may or may not make a difference in your head. It's not the way you phrased it, I just felt that you made a bad argument.
When I said this, this is what I meant. At the point in time when Luffy (not the SH crew) faces off against an Admiral/Shichibukai (again)/Yonkou, is your expectation that it will be Luffy vs. Said Opponent, or each of the SH members vs. Each of one of the powers. To me, it's pretty obvious that each member of the SH crew will never be in a victorious battle one on one with one of these powers. Sure, but these guys /= SR, the SR is just not even close to being on par. They are minor arc villans not major ones. They aren't worth meeting after this arc.
There is one exception and this has been laid out blatantly for us, and that is Zoro is essentially comparable to Luffy. Umm, okay.
Now, I'm not saying that these rookies are by any means equal to one of the great powers. However, neither are the SHs. Right now, Oda himself presented the rookies all being lumped together. He goes on to show us that 2 of the rookie captains have capable crews similar to the SH crew (Law and Kidd). He does not do this for other crews. No, you are making a comparison, the problem is that they aren't compareable - that's what I mean when I say they aren't equal. They are compareable to the SH crew, which is part of why I believe they are going to faceoff. Oh and I agree that the other cres all seem to be fodder.
There's a reason why so many people group the SH crew into tiers, and there's a certain consistent with the rankings. Of course, there are differences here and there and personal preferences that individuals will have. However, there are members of the SH crew that would not be capable of captain'ing their crews and getting as far as the RL. Can you honestly tell me that all of the SH crew members could achieve this if they were their own captains with their own crews. Now here is the part you need to understand: being a captian and being able to beat a captain are not the same thing - you don't need to be a captain in order to beat one. The SH crew that we see now could probably have handeld each of the captains in East Blue except for maybe Arlong. And as I've said before the SR are comepareable to the SH. Sure they seem stronger - but that's the whole point - to make their strength against Kizaru not seem as ridiculous. I'm not saying they will auto-pwn Kizaru, I'm saying that this will make them seem more equal then if they faught him now. Or maybe it's better to say that the SH vs. SR fight will make them seem more powerful, which is something they need at this point. To me, you're ignoring the importance of why Oda makes a big deal out of there being 11 rookies who've fought just like the SHs to get this far. Yes, some of the crews rely solely on the strength of their captains, but you're implying that these same captains are fodder enough to be squashed by SH crew members. First off, no I'm not overlooking anything I think Oda is doing this to show that the SH are the cream of the crop, the best of all the rookies, and as such are capeable of taking down the SR.Secondly I'm not applying that anyones in the SR is fodder they all have names and well developed characters it's just after this I don't expect to see them again like Foxy.
Most important however, is that one-third of the rookies are now out of commission
LOL just like how CP9 took the last train that could go to EL right before the laguna, yet somehow the SH ended up facing them at EL. Go figure.
@valli00:
Kizaru wants to capture Rufy Law and Kidd.
Let's do have almost the certainty that rufy will survive but the others 2?
According to you they will succeed in surviving? Or will you/they be sacrificed for the salvation of the mugiwaras? Okay I can't make this one out but I think they are refering to me. I think they will either escape Kizaru or he will send them himself because he won't be able to do it himself due to the whole ace situation
@brennen.exe:
I doubt they will be sacrificed for the Mugiwaras. I especially do not expect the Heart / Kidd pirates to fall because of their crew. In particular, the Heart pirates because they just added another crew member to their rankings…...has that ever been done in OP yet? A serious adding of another character to a separate pirate crew?
See this is the difference between my theories and fanfiction. My theory isn't about what I want or my favoritism towards a character, it's about giving a prediction based on what I know of OP, Oda, and how manga works. Do I want to see a series of fights that will make this saga unnessecarly long? No I don't. Do I want to see Zoro beat Hawkins in a fight? No I don't, but I don't base my thories on my favoritisms, but rather what I feel will happen.
