The Shocker looks just as lame as Ultimate Shocker.
New Spiderman Series

….."we're due for a new white Kingpin"? Some of you must pound on your keyboards with logs of shit.
i'm not totally sure what you mean by that, but it's hilarios.
-
Just watched the new episode. Lizard is pretty awesome, though I wonder if that serum was 100% effective. Don't most of the comics have him phasing in and out Hulk-style? I'd love another Lizard episode eventually. Also, anyone have pics of their Venom? Because I hear he's supposed to show up near the end of the season or something.
-
Watched all three episodes yesterday. I had no idea it started. It's pretty average if you ask me. I like the theme song just not the lyrics. I also don't like Spider-Man's voice. I wouldn't mind if they got Sean Marquette(SP?) who played him in Ultimate Spider-Man…
-
How many eps. is Season 1 going to be?
-
According to Wikipedia, both of the first 2 seasons will be 13 episodes long.
-
It probably won't last very long on Kids WB of all places…
-

I'll pass on that one. I liked the kid at first but he got really annoying by the time the game was over.
I personally love Keaton as Spidey. He doesn't sound quite like a kid (Like Ultimate) but doesn't sound old. He also balances the goofiness and seriousness perfectly. I still get goosebumps at the end of episode three when he talks about saving Curt.

Well, it is getting good ratings. I get what you mean though. The last I heard, Weisman and co. were looking into other networks after Kids WB bites the dust.
Since X-Men and Iron Man are going to air on Nicktoons, Spidey could possibly go there as well. I'd rather not see it end up on CN after what happened with Fantastic Four.
-
I'm sure Spider-Man would get better ratings than the Fantastic Four. The Fantastic Four show was good. It's just that the Fantastic Four suck.
-

They'd best start packin', Kids WB died shortly after losing the Amblin/Spielberg stuff.
Enough whining for me, though. This is looking pretty good so far. The only voice actor who bothers me at all is Harry's, and he's hardly even there (he may get featured a little more now that Pete got fired, though.)
-
Another awesome episode…like always. Hammerhead doesn't look so bad, but the action scenes are so much better then last weeks
-
It occurs to me that Shocker's design doesn't suck nearly as bad in action. He actually seemed pretty awesome.
-
@Jedi:

Doesnt look to bad ? Man hes the best incarnation of that lame ass character ever, his eh kids today whatcha gonna do line made him an officialy awesome gangster.
As for the shocker ep it was by far the best animated spiderman anything ive ever seen, i mean besides the obvious that the animation was top notch theyve nailed everything from Shockers cool proffesional character/powers to Jamesons temper. And set up Marko and O'hirn as loveable losers(who are going to get a chance at revenge soon). And while they go for the classic Parker always fucks everything up approach they actualy make Peter seem like a real kid does pretty much what anybody that age would do, All in all an incredible episode it they keep this up ill be glued to the screen every sunday.
-
So the recent eps. have been good? Huh might go give them a watch.
-
What's up with episode 5? Seems like Harry and Stacy (forgot her first name, is it gwen?) totally forgot about how mad they were at Peter.
-
Totaly worked for me, i mean you dont keep a grudge with your bestfriends over some minor thing so they had to make up at some point.
As for sandman, he worked decently i mean never loved the guy but his fights were nicely animated and his banter is good. And Hammerhead and Osborn are so fricking suave, their dialogue is the high points of the ep.
-
No One Sees The Big Man.
-
My expectations for this is quite high x].
-
Aww, I woke up this morning to see it only to find out that it was just a rerun of the first episode…
-
Ya know what they should do in the 2nd Season? Cameo or have Spidey team up with other Marvel characters (sorta like the last Season of The Batman), who knows that character might get a show of their own.
-

I disagree. I think it should stay Pete's story for now. Maybe some cameos, but not a series of episodes of him sharing the limelight.
Animated Ezekiel, though… That would be fun.

Meh got enough of that in the 90's series: Capt America, X-Men, Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Daredevil. Etc
Side the show still too new for that kinda thing then again who knows.
-
I don't remember Dr. Strange being in the 90's show.
-
The only teamup I would want to see is with the Human Torch. They've never done it before in animation and would be a great throwback to the old Ditko/Lee comics.
-

Within these 16+ characters, I convey the message that I have no idea WTF you just said; SPEAK AMERICAN!
-
Besides the show is still too new for that kind of thing but thing again who knows.
(Correct?)

Yeah, it's the only language we understand… IN AMERICA!
-
God no crossovers, No Morlun or Ezikiel or any of that totem garbage, if you want suckyness that bad they might as well bring back man-mountain Marko. Spideys got some of the greatest A list villains and side characters of all marvel franchises and dont need any guest stars or third rate villains.
And Sandai he was in the first episode of season 3, ya know the one where Mary Jane joins a cult lead by Baron Mordo.
also is there even such a thing as american ? thought you guys spoke english….and some of you spanish.
-
^ The creators, I think, siad that they will stay true to the comics. So that means no Morlun Eze until season 5-6
-

No guest stars as in no characters from other series?

Don't know how I could forget something like that.
-
Saw the one with the 2nd apperence of Green Goblin today seem they mixed it up….
! It Harry who the first one to become the madman
Course this is probably no surprise since they've been hinting at it in the last few episodes with him and his addiction of the chemical. But still his revealing was pretty well done especially when Norman found out. The fight before that was grand too. Much better then the 90's version.
End of ep (and the commercials for the next) shows the coming of everyone favorite black suited multi-fanged alien. Much sooner then I expected but meh. Should be good.
-
ya, so in the movies, it was dad then son. in this cartoon it's son then….
how did the comics do it?
-
Norman actually acted like a parent for once haha
And Jameson jr got hit by a meteor that happened to be carring the symbiotei love this show

Father to Son.
I guess this way Gwen gets a new lease on life.
-
ah, good point. i wonder what they will do with her, this being saterday morning and all.
-
Im pretty sure Gwen has put two and two together that Harry and Pete are Gobby and Spidey
Mary Jane too
-

I thought she would end up being Black Cat but I forgot that was another girl…
-

Yeah, Felicia Hardy is basically a totally different character. Though Black Cat in this series would be nice. Wonder how they'd redesign her costume for appropriateness, though.
-
Felicia Hardy. I know you know, just letting everyone doesn't know know.
Anyone remember the X-Men and Spiderman cross over episode? That was the coolest!
Spiderman: catches Rogue Gotcha.
Rogue: I bet you say that to all the gals. -
yea i remember that one
Why isnt this thread called Spectacular Spider-Man?
-

Just caught up to the series. Veoh is my friend now.
My interpretation is Gwen is onto Harry. She may not know exactly what's up with him yet, but I'm pretty sure she at least suspects steroids. Doubt she's figured out Pete yet, though.
As for MJ, she hasn't been in the series long enough to start suspecting anything. She hasn't even known Pete and Harry that long.
I actually kind of like the way they're going with Harry being Goblin number one instead of Norman. It could add some fun tension between the two at school and the way they set it up was excellent. Funny how I didn't even suspect a thing when he was suddenly good at football.
Finally, MJ is pwnsome. That thing after Pete left the dance was pretty much the best comeback ever.
Oh, and apparently Black Cat is in the series. I probably shouldn't be putting too much faith in Wikipedia, though.
-
did you watch yesterday's episode? she caught him drinking the stuff. He brushed her off, and she told pete to go talk to him, but pete could never find him, cause he was the Green goblin. Spiderman found the Goblin though, and found out he was Harry.

No, I didn't. It hadn't been uploaded yet. I'll go see if it is now.
-
I say that Norman is actually the Goblin and set Harry up. And considering that the Chameleon is in the next episode could mean that he was involved in this too.
-
Holy crap, Black Cat is this Saturday. Schweet.
-
Do you have a link to it on Veoh? I can't seem to find it. I'm never around on Saturday mornings and I wasn't sure how this would turn out. But given the generally positive feedback, I'd like to check it out.
-
Harry was just drinking that stuff like it was soda…
-
I just watched this weeks episode having only seen the opening before. Even tho I had the audio down low and could barely hear it, I enjoyed it. Looks like they did the Spider-man movie-esque upside down kiss.
-
I actually watched the episode today. The only other one I've seen was the Lizard one, and the show didn't really impress me. This episode was actually really good though. I liked Black Cat, symbiote Spidey was cool, and Steven Jay Blum as Chameleon was made of win!
-
I haven't payed much attention to this show either. I caught todays episode, it was good.
Only others I've seen are the Electro and the Lizard one.
