These damn battle network (and now….Wifi network) games erk me.
I JUST WANT LEGENDS 3. 1 and 2 were so fecking great. At least the Zero games threw some homage in to them.

Zelda went really downhill after the Winwaker… TW just didnt have the epic feel all the others Zelda's had. And PH was good but not that great.
Zelda went downhill with Windwaker, TP was good enough though I'm probably just saying that because it was the first Zelda game I actually managed to sit down and play through even with the assholery of the
Water Temple.
I wasn't a fan of X5/X6 and I definitely hated X7, but I thought that X8 was decently fun and a good way to end the series. (Not story-wise.) I enjoyed Legends, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one.
You liked the english version of X4
It'd be cool if Capcom made two more Megaman games and be done with it. First being Megaman IX, somehow connecting the Classic and X series after all this time.
Wasn't there a connection (a slight one) with The Fighting game or whichever game featured Zero in silhouette confronting Bass
EH, I didn't and don't care about the voice acting.
Yeah, Zero did appear in one of the fighting games.
BUT WE NEED MORE. =(

Alot people don't seem to like Windwaker. I hated it first to, i was already planning to give up on it after the annoying prison level. After that the game suddenly seemed to become better. And eventually it was a really fun experience. Gotta love the deku leaf :P my favorite Zelda weapon. Nothing comes close to epicness that is Ocarina of Time though. One of the best damn games ever made, next to Secret of Mana/Secret of Mana 2 (seiken densetu3) and Chrono Trigger.
I think a lot of the Wind Waker hate came from the fact that OMG LINK LOOKZ LIKE AN ANIMAY KARTOON. That was actually was an awesome style when seen in action.

How could anyone think TP's Water Temple was hard?
Zelda has yet to jump the shark, nearly all the games have kept the same level of awesomeness (the exception being Zelda II, of course).
I still don't get what was so awesome about TP.. It somehow doesn't seem to have the epic feel all the other zeldas (after zelda 2) had. It was the first Zelda that actually bored me.. The other Zelda's actually always managed to pull me in (even if i replay them) , it's like a good fantasy/adventure book. But TP just doesn't give me that feel :(
Any people experience something similair ?
How could anyone think TP's Water Temple was hard?
Can't you skip, like, half of that thing once you get the clawshot?
Yeah, not a good sign.
And Windwaker is actually my favorite Zelda.
On topic, Mario Party is getting pretty old by now. The only thing I play it for is the minigames and you have to play the boring board game part to unlock any.

It's hard when you don't know what to do or where to go.

I wouldn't have minded much if it went with a more traditional cel-shaded look but obviously it didn't.
I loved Windwaker's art style, but the game was boring as hell.
Windwaker is a favorite of mine as well. I loved the art style and the overall lighter feel taken with it. TP, had really awesome bosses, but overall I thought it was kind of lackluster. I wasn't excited to go back to pretty boy (relative), dark world, intentionally badass Link. Especially since they added in all those sword techniques. (Though I am a fan of Mortal Draw.)

Ugh I agree. They took the "LOL COOL LINK NOWZ" thing to a whole other level.

"Traditional" cel-shaded?
Think Paper Mario or Dark Cloud 2
Paper Mario…traditional art style.
I kind of meant more natural cel-shaded look.

Then just say "Budokai."
Hmmmm didn't think about that.

It's hard when you don't know what to do or where to go.
Not really. All you have to do is know where the water's going to go, and since it can't go upwards, that makes it simple.
I forgot to mention Harvest Moon that wasn't so fun anymore after the snes version. And Breath of Fire jumped the shark after part 2
Harvest Moon 64 is one of my favorite HMs despite all it's glitches. The rest haven't been fantastic, although Harvest Moon DS wasn't all too bad.

And Breath of Fire series died with Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. Wonder why…..
I think the harvest moon gb games were great, but yea, I think the series has gone downhill since then.

Unless you're talking about Rune Factory, that's one of the most annoying games on the face of the earth. 60 Harvest Sprites just to get married… Pah.

Now it does

MM jumped the shark with EXE, or battle network. It's capcom's version of a pokemon game. Legends has got great game play, if you can get past the cheesiness. (i happen to like it though) And Tronne Bonne was a GREAT game. I highly recomend it.
Furthermore, anyone who says the original series was bad, is just WRONG. The original series was revolutionary for it's time. And it's music still stands the tests of times. And you can't shake your finger at it for being glitchy, because that was a problem ALL NES games had.
The X series definatly has more apeal to the teen generation, but they really did bomb with X5 and 6. X4 is an aquired taste. You either like it or you don't. I happen to be on the like side.
And Solar, MMIX?! what? It's not MM 10 in roman numerals, it's MM "X" But I do agree, it would be nice to have another MM game, or a game to better connect the storylines together. (although, I think I liked it better, when they were 2 seperate story lines)

I haven't played all the Battle Network games but I wouldn't consider it to be a PKMN rip-off it's just Megaman with light rpg elements

Out of curiousity but was Super Mario Bros 1-3 were glitchy?

X5 & X6 were good even if they pull a Deus Ex with X6
@Sandai:

Dunno about the other 2, but SMB 1 had the infinite lives from 1 Koopa shell and shudder minusland.
Well as hard as the game could get I could see why anyone would use the infinite lives code and minus world….can't say anything about that.
Despite what some people may say, I found X4 and X5 to be overall enjoyable (though I agree they weren't as good as the first three). I would probably enjoy X6 more if it wasn't so freaking hard. Blaze Phoenix's level anyone? I mean Jesus H. Christ!
The only thing I hated about Blaze Heatnix's level were those ugly ass machines that you can only destroy by hitting the green things on them other than that I found the game to be easy (after awhile).
Well yeah, pretty much. But they took frickin' forever to destroy and near impossible to dodge. I had to do that level over a whole bunch of times.
Pretty much the only one you could kill without taking too much damage was the one before Blaze Heatnix if you have the Ultimate Armor those those damn things are easy to kill.
I hated Mega Man X6 not only because it's ungodly difficult but also because of the retarded rescuing Reploid crap they did. These enemies called "Nightmares" stay near Reploids and once the Nightmare touches them they're gone forever, along with whatever power-up they could have had. Some Nightmares are RIGHT NEXT TO THEM, which means if you don't kill them the MOMENT they appear on-screen, you're screwed.
And they gone and repeat this in Mega Man X7, except Reploids die from getting touched by enemy or enemy fire. Thank God Almighty Mega Man X8 got rid of the rescuing Reploid power-up thing.
sandai, SMB 1 and 2 were a bit glitchy. I must admit, I don't remember 3 being that glitchy, but that was near the end of the NES's life, when they got good at dealing with the technolagy
and battle netowork, your this guy with this little pet robot inside a computer that battles other robots. except for the robot thing, that sounds like pokemon to me.
Except the gameplay isn't anything like the Pogeymanz, and unlike any other Rockman game, EXE actually has a plot.

Wow
things fighting with other things, a concept pioneered by Pokemon.
And copied by Digimon and Monster Rancher (I think)

Well three differences to take note of are
1. Your not given the option to choose between three starting Navi's
2. The main character doesn't take on 4 Supreme Navi users (Elite Four).
3. You don't go around capturing and collecting Navis
Though to agree to your side of the argument you do get some similarities
The GBA games used a split system i.e. Red/Blue Gold/Silver though it wasn't as spiteful as Pkmn.
Lan & Chad equal Ash & Gary only Chad isn't as much of a prick as
Gary at least not in BN5.
Those the only two similarities I can think oof.
I rather enjoyed the Battle Network games, the battle system wasn't like Pokemon at all. 0.o
4 and 5 sucked though because you had to repeat things over and over. 6 and 3 were my faves though.
BN4 failed due to crappy writing, typos, triple play through, bad chips, and lackluster Soul Unisons. The one thing it has going for it is the variety of bosses. BN5 was a step in the right direction, but the Dark Chip stuff was still way too silly. And while I'm fine with Baryl and all, its because of him being in BN6 that I can't just pretend the Nebula duology never happened.
Starforce is okay. It's nothing stelar, but I find the designs and concepts interesting. It's too bad that I've seen a lot of irrational hate for the EXE Universe from fans who just can't seem to move on from X.

Huh? You didn't repeat anything in EXE 5.
EXE 4 was my favorite of all, for some reason.

well of coarse it's not gonna be an exact replica. but, why bother with the user in the first place. why can't it be you ARE megaman inside a computer. they just have the user, so the kids can have some emotional attachment, and feel like, hey, I could be that kid with the pet megaman. Probably part of the reason pokemon took off better than digimon or monster rancher. neither of those have trainers for the creatures so it's harder to have an emotional attachment in that sence.
I just hate how they keep trying to redevelop the charicter and the series. like "don't fix what's not broken." MM is MM, if you wanna try something else, then call it somthing else. Mario hasn't changed, but he still has lots of fun and inovative games. Or like when zelda went through some big changes. they fit that into the story. Like the wind waker link, was a totally different link, in the future.
and someone said, the other games have no plot. gasp oh, that's why I love MM so much. I felt they really developed the charicters. oh well, each to their own. That's all opinion anyways, isn't it. ^_^

There is no possible way that that is the case.

The thing is the Mega Man series can get away with being pushed into other continuities something like that obviously wouldn't work for Mario, Zelda is a of a head scratcher though.

Kind of reminds me of the retards who think Advance War Days Of Ruin is better than Dual Strike in every way imaginable - SHIIIIIIiiiiiiiiitttttttt -
would you mind elaborating on your first comment, out of curiosity. I really don't see it. :)
and those other games you menchioned, I've never heard of, but I have a feeling your trying to say i'm silly. :P Hey, everyone likes the original star war movies better, even though it's older, and doesn't have fancy modren effects and stuff.

Okay simple question could Mario away with jumping ahead into the future like Megaman X or get away with featuring the characters as livng creatures in
the world of computers (I couldn't come up with another example for BN)

No I just generally found it stupid that someone (hopefully not you) would say that the other Megaman Man games have no plot even when that's a obvious lie, my referencing AW was purely coincidental (probably just did it intentionally =P). As for the Stars Wars reference why did you had to remind us of that.
Regarding MM, I can fully relate to the dislike of BN and Starforce - but I feel that The Zero series for GBA and ZX for DS more than make up for it. I also found myself enjoying the X series till the end (weeeell, 8 not so much) and one of my biggest regrets is not getting the Anniversary collection when I had the chance. Cause' I'm one of those rarities who loved 6.
So, no shark jumping yet for me.
But seeing as how Starforce is the only active franchise atm, the jump is propably in progress.
Ryuusei (Starforce) jumped the shark just by existing.

well it's hard to compare the 2 like that, since there are no robots in mario, but mario did get wisked away to the mushroom kingdom. I had always thought of this as another dimension, seeing as they seem out of place compared to the rest of the world. That, and well, you never hear of them visiting their mom, or their best friend bob…cause they don't exist in the mushroom kingdom. it's just mario and luigi. i'm just saying, with all the situations, and variety of games, mario is still mario. I think his biggest change was he went from brown overalls in the original game, to red overalls.

NO! I didn't say that. someone else did. I was defending the original games. sorry for bringing up star wars. :o
at least we can debate without mud flinging. :) appreciate it.
