And oh my god I forgot how shitty the animation on that show was.
Funny thing is, that was the movie. So it was supposed to be movie quality.

@Senshi:
I wonder if anyone remembers the first Disney movie they saw in theatres?
Fantasia, the 1982 release.
My first Disney movie in theaters was probably Bambi (1988 release I guess). And I think it was at the local drive-in theater.
The earliest I can remember seeing in theaters was Lion King at age five.
I don't remember my first :(
I'm pretty sure it was the first Fantasia though.

This song confirms that Jafar is indeed supreme leader.
Leading at the center :s
oh god hades, what did they do to you
My first Disney movie in theaters was probably most likely Beauty and the Beast.
Was that Dan Castellaneta as Hades?
Alright!! It's all your freaking fault Taboo. Because you posted that clip, I've been searching and searching for the DVD of this Uncobbled Version.
All I found were a bunch of useless online petitions requesting it. Everywhere I look, it says that "you can't get it", and that "you just have to download a torrent". That's pretty flipping lame. I wanted a DVD.
So I guess that this ends my search.. which was all for not. =P
roar :E
Mine I 95% think it was Lion King.
Seems so old now.

They still had drive-ins in 1988? Funny, I remember seeing Bambi in a drive-in theater too, but it was several years earlier than that. I saw every new Disney movie release in theaters from The Black Cauldron up through Fantasia 2000, and whichever classics that were re-released, but the only one I saw after that in theaters was Lilo and Stitch.
I think my favorite Disney movie is still Lady and the Tramp, and Fantasia, if that counts, since it's an entirely different kind of movie.
They actually still have drive-ins nowadays. Went to one in Dover, DE a few years ago for Evil Dead 1 and 2. It was awesome.
They still had drive-ins in 1988?
Yeah. Where I live the drive-in theater just closed this year. Too bad, it was one of the last drive-ins left in the state.
The last movie I saw in a drive-in was the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
I'm not entirely sure if it was the 1988 release of Bambi or not, but I checked the release dates and I think that's the closest one it could have been for me.

My top 10 favorites are bound to change with all the re-watching I've been doing. But Bambi will always be at the top of my list. There's something attractive about the peaceful tranquility present throughout the entire movie. It feels so cheerful and pleasant without getting too much into sweet bubble-gum happiness.
I didn't like Fantasia until recently. Classical music was so boring to me as a kid. The only part I really liked back then was "The Sorceror's Apprentice".
@Tommy:
Was that Dan Castellaneta as Hades?
It was Rob Paulson, the voice of Yakko from Animaniacs, which is weird because I'm pretty sure James Woods has always done the voice of Hades.
They have a drive-in right near where I live. Hell, it's just off the highway. I've seen plenty of movies in it, the latest being Rattatoulie.
Chernabog would frighten me as a kid; I don't think I've ever seen the entirety of Fantasia in one sitting because of him.
I loved watching Fantasia 2000 when it came out though. My favorite segment was "Rhapsody in Blue."

House of Mouse's budget probably wasn't large enough to get someone like that.
Anyway, my first Disney movie was a double feature of The Prince and the Pauper and The Rescuers Down Under, when I was six back in 1990. The former is notable as being both the last appearance of Pete before Jim Cummings became his official voice, and also the last time he smoked his trademark cigar.
Didn't James Woods play Hades in Kingdom Hearts?
Well anyway, I can't remember the first Disney movie I saw in the theater, but I know my mom took me to see a bunch in the theater. I think it was one of these three: Fantasia, 101 Dalmations, or Beauty and the Beast.
Didn't James Woods play Hades in Kingdom Hearts?
Yep.
I think he also admitted that he is a video game fan while he was playing Hades in both games.
The first Disney Movie I saw was Dinosaur, wich is still my favorite 3D disney movie.

Man, I liked that guy. How could he be part of such a travesty?
Ant the animation is terrible. I can tell that from one brief close-up of Malifecent's face. She looked like she belonged in the Badly Drawn Thread.
Well IMDB does credit James Woods in that House of Villains thing but apparently Rob Paulson is listed as Hades singing voice.

I forgot that movie existed. It kind of reminded me a lot of The Land Before Time.
My first Disney movie in theatres I believe was Toy Story. I recall my Pa-pal and my older brother went to see it, I was probably 5 or something. (So, probably the furthest back I can even remember.) My Pa-pal slept through the movie, I know that. XD
Come to think of it…I think that might have been the ONLY Disney movie I saw in theatres. Wow.
Oh I remember Dinosaurs. I got a bit scared for the two older ones that were following the long neck.
My first Disney Movie in theaters was the Lion King. (atleast when I was old enough to be aware of my own existence)
They even handed out Lion King trading cards at the door.
I remember there were some scenes that scared the crap out of me when I was younger.
When I saw Aladdin in theaters, the beginning scene with the Cave of Wonders did.
I'm fairly certain that I'm not the only one whose nightmares were haunted by Pink Elephants on Parade. If fact, I still am to this day.
And I think Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective was kind of disturbing to me for some reason. I can't remember what it was, but I'm sure something about him did it for me.
It's not Disney, but I remember Land Before Time being one of the first movies I saw in theaters. I remember seeing Oliver and Company and the re-release of Peter Pan in theaters as well.
Am I the only one who enjoyed Pink Elephants on Parade scene from Dumbo? It's one of my favorite Disney moments ever.
Disney is so bleh nowadays, but I do love their classic shorts! My favorite Disney movies would be:
-Anything animated by Don Bluth (Especially Sword in the Stone and Robin Hood)
-The Black Cauldron
-The Emperor's New Groove
-Bedknobs and Broomsticks
-Mary Poppins
-All the Winnie the Pooh movies
-Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, Hercules TAS, Aladdin TAS, New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
please remind me-what DID Don Bluth animate?

Disney:
Sleeping Beauty
Sword in the Stone
Robin Hood
The Resuers
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Pete's Dragon
The Small One
Non-Disney:
Banjo the Woodpile Cat
Xanadu
The Secret of NIMH
An American Tail
The Land Before Time
Dragon's Lair
Space Ace
All Dogs Go To Heaven
The Pebble and the Penguin
Thumbalina
Rock-A-Doodle
Anastasia
Titan A.E.
Bartok the Magnificent
A Troll in Central Park
Anastasia was wonderfull.Sword in the Stone to a lesser decree.
Leaf Cable mentioned some of the shorts. I remember I used to watch those all the time with my brother. I probably still have them on VHS, but the ones we would always watch were The Wind in the Willows, Ben & Me, and another one. I can't remember the name. It was Bongo or something. But I remember it was something about a circus bear.
I just watched "Bridge to Terabithia".
Surprisingly touching story.

Sleeping Beauty
Sword in the Stone
Robin Hood
The Resuers
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Pete's Dragon
The Small One
You forgot The Fox and the Hound. I could have sworn he also worked on some other ones too, maybe on a lesser scale.
What is "The Small One"? I never heard of it.
So how many of you played Disney Games back in the days of the SNES? I swear those were among the most graphically beautiful games ever made for the console, plus they were quite decent games in their own. Besides Mario World, Yoshi's Island, and Super Mario All-Stars, the Mickey Games (Magical Quest and Mickey Mania) were the ones I enjoyed the most when I still had my SNES.
I saw Saludos Amigos for the first time today. The way it was divided up into different shorts reminded me of Fantasia. It was a nice, uniuqe mix between documentary and cartoon. My favorite out of the four is tie between the one with the dancing llama, and "Watercolor of Brazil". The latter was the most unique out of the four.
I'll probably get that boxed set that comes in April. It all depends on if I like The Three Caballeros, which I'll probably watch tommorow.

Woot woot, Aladdin. The Great Circus Mystery was fun too.
God, I just downloaded Mickey Mania..
I didn't tought it was HARD as I remembered it.
It's so hard that even the easy mode it's hard.
I wonder what they tought when they made this game into something for kids. For all that I know, this may be the hardest platformer ever made for the SNES.
-Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, Hercules TAS, Aladdin TAS, New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Wait what's so good about that show? I've never seen it but suspected that it was made
I loved that line from the Hercules Animated series theme "Is he sweet? Our favorite flavor!"
That came straight from the movie.
The Hercules animated series was awesome; I loved watching it as a kid and actually being able to understand a lot of the references to "real" Greek mythology.
