T Am I the only one who loved his sudden change of personality?
I would've been fine with it if for the 12 hours of gameplay beforehand that was how he acted, but the execution just felt so…sloppy.
-I'm really not a fan of contrived character shifts, especially when the guy is built up for half the game to be intimidating and a hardass. It felt like a failed last ditch effort to give him a unique personality, and they fell flat on their faces.
-His under the helmet design didn't quite...do it for me. It conisides with the first bullet - all build up, and the pay off is an emaciated monkey head.
- He turned out to be another puppet for Ganon, definitely one of the most tired plot devices Nintendo has up their sleeves. It also didn't help when it seemed like the wacky personality shift was just a method to make Ganon look like more of a bad-ass, literally sucking that dry straight out of Zant.
It not only broke the basic rules of decent pacing, it also disregarded any previous build-up for the bastard.
(Eww...this really turned out more like rant then I wanted, but alas.)
Eh...the fight was still pretty fun though. Interesting concept, complete with a nice dose of gameplay variety.
