I just wanna know who the huge fat dude with the cigar is… I got a bad feeling about a filler arc with THAT MANY officers.
I called it wrong, so long ago. I guess this needs to be changed.

I love the visual references to the first opening., but updated with the new crew.
Brooke is awesome as well.
During the "attack" sequence (right after Brook) it looks like Nami's wearing negligee'.

Pretty awesome intro. The music fits in with what's going on, and there's a lot going on! I really wish they'd stop the two minute long openings and do open/endings properly again. Ah well.

I love the way how Franky looks like he is just dumbfounded by the activities the Strawhats do in 1:08-1:14….and it seems the filler arc has a Wintery setting, with a ice skating couple, a hockey player guy, twins, and that little girl with the boss guy. This should be interesting.

It might interest you to know he's an original design made by Oda-Sensei if you didn't know already.
P.S. The opening seriously pwns^^ So much better than Crazy Rainbow. Hell, I like it better than Hikari E and We are and maybe even Bon Voyage.

An ok opening IMO. Definitely better then Crazy Rainbow (which isn´t that hard to accomplish actually). But even if the song would be great there really isn´t a need for those largely extended openings. At some point it just feels to stretched and overall the footage isn´t that mindblowing that you want to watch it for two and a half minutes.

Pretty long but the inclusion of Brooke was awesome! I like the quick scream effects they threw in there, pretty cool.

In my opinion the new opening is great! I'm glad that Ace, Dragon, Blackbeard's crew, Shanks' crew, etc, are featured too. ^^
The opening is well drawn and animated. Brook looks great, nice to see him there as well. :]
These fillers might turn out to be one of the best ones in One Piece, but just in case, I'm not putting my hopes too high….looking forward to them, nevertheless.
I miss the endings though...and shorter openings, though I don't mind longer ones that much.

The new opening is pretty average in my opinion. The song isn't really as catchy or original as some of the past ones and for some reason the animation looks a little awkward, not really in movements (those look great) but just in overall styling. I couldn't help but notice there was also a lot of "let's stare at something in the distance with huge smiles plastered on our faces," and I mean more than usual. Seriously though, it's pretty cute and it's not going to annoy me to watch it for about 30 or however many episodes but I feel it could have been better.

My opinion to that new opening… Animation is great! No really! (Almost) OVA quality, eh? The spoilers are also nice - but that salsa/calypso sounding music doesn't fit either to a WINTER arc nor to Thriller Bark. It sounds "nice" - somehow optimized to japanese charts (much english text) - but compared to the coming arcs it's simply out of place. And it's still 2m29s long...

They really should have picked a darker tone for the opening. Thriller Bark is a zombie fest for crying out. Not happy kiddy land. Oh well….....

The new opening was great, much better than Crazy Rainbow ever was. Seeing Brook and other Thriller Bark characters in it was a nice treat as well. As for the song, it was certaintly different than what we've heard from other openings like Brand New World, Kokoro no Chizu, and Bon Voyage, but it's a pretty nice change. The only complaint I have is that it's still too damn long. I really wish that when the 9th opening rolls along, Toei decides to bring back the ending songs.
Franky still has no eyecatcher, what's up with that?

Yeah, it was mention in the manga but never actually show up in the manga, if I remember correctly. Its kind of spoiler for manga readers LOL.

I'm a little concerned with how Toei is gonna animate Brook. Judging from his little bit in the opening, his head was moving…while his afro stayed in one exact spot like it wasn't even connected to his head.

Franky explaining about the Soldier Dock system and giving Luffy and Usopp a cliff hanger, heh heh. Also, Davy Back Fight cameo. Toei just can't get over Foxy, huh? I'm not a fan of fillers but I'm going to be keeping up on this one. Seems pretty interesting.

It's not a tradition. We just recently got the Gold Roger thing play over, and over, and over again, until our minds rot. It's as bad as the 5 minute recaps.

Now for the filler characters, the big fat guy with the cigar I have pegged as a mafia boss and he has his children doing some sort of a compition to see who will inherit his position as boss. :getlost: Total cliche. And the one boy on the ship that the Mugiwara crew rescued will rebel against his employers or whatever. On the plus side, the little girl in the Victorian outfit seems cute. If you take that comment to mean that I'm a lolicon, I blame Negima.Edit: Oh, so I was right about the whole mafia angle. Yatta! Now I have to see how it plays out. Hopefully Toei does a good job of convincing me to keep watching.
