Granted I haven't seen all the episodes yet, I'm in half-way of the first season (and from my understanting there will second season), but I love it. Totally addicted. The show has kept me on the edge of the seat all way through first eleven episodes… and now I think I'll go see the rest eleven of them. Hail to piracy.
Prison Break

I've seen this show a few times on FOX.
season 2 starts tonite i think. -
Awesome show indeed, in fact, probably my favourite show now. The plot twists, the action, it's great. Episode 6 and I think 21 are amongst my favourites episodes. The season finale (and the episodes leading up to it) are amazing!
As for the second season, it does not start until August 21st (which is a Monday). I believe that it will air during the same timeslot this Fall (I'm not sure which timezone Fox uses, but you can view the Fall programming schedule here: http://www.fox.com/programming ).
On another note, the season 1 set for North America is going to be released on August 8th. I last heard of this information a while back and haven't checked up on it, so this may have been changed. For Europeans, I think a box set containing the first 13 episodes has been released a while back.
EDIT: I'm not sure why the link isn't working. Just copy and paste for now I guess. Alternatively, you can go to the official Fox website and click on the link to the top-right to view their programing schedule for Fall.

I couldn't sit still while watching the last two, three episodes. Writers keeps throwing characters into situations where everything seems so irreversilby screwed up - going through the whole season in couple of days was almost too much for my young heart. After the season final was over, I couldn't but think: awww! Luckily, August isn't far away. I'll have something to do before Lost begins again.
@RS:

I find it quite interesting that the show was originally meant to be only 13 episodes, and they expanded it into a full season whilst airing.
-
Try sitting through the commercial breaks, let alone an entire week for the next episode to air. =P
Actually, I think the show was originally 22 episodes. Fox only purchased the first 13. After realizing PB was a hit, they bought the remaining 9.
-
This show is fantastic.
It replaces Desperate Housewives for my number 2 spot and pushes 24 even further down the shitter. It's no LOST but it's damn close, and as close as any show with this topic could be.
Truly killer writers and a blinding pace that simply RAPES LOST's lolling stroll (but that's one of the reasons I love LOST so…)
Just one problem.
HOW THE FRICK CAN I SEE THE EPISODES!?
In Japan they only have half of Season 1 on DVD (yes they're bastards with DVDs) and I've been going back and forth between a glitchy You Tube and craptacular torrents that either never connect or finish with synch issues.
Any suggestions?

I think most major dramas work that way though. That way it saves the production of a full season if the show is a flop. same with LOST etc.

Okey, I had finally a chance to watch the brand new episode from the second season of Prison Break and I'm… pretty pleased. It isn't really credible - how they managed to run away in such a fashion for so long and the train thing - but the FBI dude is cool and ending made it so much better. Not awesome but better nevertheless.

eh, while browsing some random stuff i gave a quick look at tv. it's the time when it's supposed to air prison break. then i saw somebody looking like the main character being infected by some virus and turned in a horrorful scene into some giant bug and i thought "what the hell is prison break? i didn't know it turned into some strange serie b" and thought it was strange. then i realized i was watching… mosquitoman XD!
had to revive the thread to tell you how strange i felt for 5 good minutes XD. silly me.
-
I did it.
I finally caught up with Prison Break and holy shit, what a ride. Thus far the only episodes that had me squirming a bit with boredem were 11 and 12 f Season 2 but other than that, WOW! I mean, WOW!!!
They have said that Seasons 1 and 2 are the first part to a bigger 'trilogy'. How can they bleed it for that long? Uhhh….I dunno really. But if it keeps going at this pace, certainly can't complain. Killer series.
-
Thumbs up Greg.

Aye, when I read that, I was thinking "No, no. Please, no." Despite how much I enjoy the series, dragging it would kinda stink. Would've been nice if it ended with 2-3 seasons to its name. But I'll agree with you, if they can keep it up, I guess I'll probably be watching it.
On another note, that last episode's ending was just out there! O_o

I got forced into the show by my friend… and it's decent.. my only beef is with how fish found D.B. Cooper. It annoys me to no end!
For those that do not know, D.B. Cooper is probably the most notorious hijacker in history. He hijacked a plane and then ransomed the hostages for $200,000 back in 1971, big bucks back then. Following that he flew the hijacked plane away and jumped out mid-flight with a parachute and was never found again. To this day the CIA and FBI (plus random bored people) are still trying to track this guy down, spending alot more than what he stole. However... fish managed to find this guy with virtually no resources (he doesn't have access to government files and sources right), no money (not enough to by information), no time (he had to check the profile of ever inmate, the lay out of the prison, etc). Yeah... you can see my problem with that lack of realism lol...
However there is a person named John List that's similar to Charles, he was suspected to be D.B. Cooper for awhile.
-
Yeah… you can see my problem with that lack of realism lol...
Realism? In a TV drama?
Hell, the chances of something like Bellick getting 25 years for a cellphone call he made from a hospital which he was walking out only when the guy was pulled in are um…..zero.
There is little that's realistic in Prison Break but that's why it's television.
-
I don't think the show would be nearly as entertaining if it completely adhered to realism. I mean, T-Bag surviving getting his hand hacked off and having it reattached by a vetrinarian, surviving without it again…if it was all about realism, we wouldn't have those fun moments.
Season 2 has been some of the most entertaining television I've ever watched. And the second half starts on January 22nd. God I can't wait. I just wonder, since Season 3 will be the second part of the "trilogy", if it will even have the same cast. It'll probably focus on the inner workings of The Company or something like that.
-
Truth be told my real beef is that fish is made to seem smarter than he actually is, or possible, by accomplising something the best in the world could not do in 35 years, in maybe a few days. I know it's a TV show but it still annoys the hell outta me. Just because it's on TV doesn't mean it can't stir up emotions cus you're so into it.
…And what cellphone call? Did you just spoil something for me, I haven't started season 2 and missed like 2 eps in season 1. My friend and I are gonna have a prison break marathon lol..
-
Well, something tells me you're not going to be pleased with season 2. It's plenty more unrealistic thus far than the first season I find.
Awesome show regardless. There's still one thing that really bugs me still (note, season 1 & 2 spoilers):
! Veronica's death. Didn't see it coming, but it felt like such a waste when she died. After all, her and Nick were the viewer's inside scoop into the conspiracy from outside Fox River. Though I guess after finding Steadman, what else could they have done and still keep the show going? Still, blargh!
-
Rasen, totally agreed. Especially early on. You really have to suspend your "That's stupid because it's not possible" part of your brain and just enjoy the ride. Because boy does it get better.
I'm really happy with a lot of the choices they've made.
…And what cellphone call? Did you just spoil something for me
I didn't spoil something for you but you may have spoiled something for yourself.
Our television program thread policy here has been that once it airs it's free game.
Only what's in advance requires spoiler tags.
Surely you wouldn't consider talking about the lastest chapter of OP in the "Chapter" thread after it's been released a spoiler.
-
Lol… chill I was just joking around, the contents you revealed hardly matters, I don't care for Bellick at all. You can say he died and I'd be like shrug "oh well"
-
Chill? I was simply explaining our policy.
-
See again with the attitude
Only 2/4 lines was even about the policy, the other 2… yeah you know -
See again with the attitude
? I'm not following.
-
I think you do

I wish they would not kill off Abruzzi and Tweeter, they were cool and Abruzzi never get to return to his home country(can't spell the name but it begins with "S" and it's an huge island near Italy.
This show was good and I'm looking forward fo it in January 22nd, 2007.
The story was thrilling and sometimes it was dry on my teste, I thought that a story about breaking out of prison would be a "wasting of time" and I was expecting it to be cancelled because Fox was known to have so much low ideas but I was suprise it became an hit
Good Show. It equals 24.
-
I think you do
No, I'm sorry, I really, really don't ^_^;
I wish they would not kill off Abruzzi and Tweeter
Agreed! Not so much with Abruzzi but 'Tweener' yes. I actually started to like him at the end and he just started to become an interesting character too, something I never imagined during Season 1.
My biggest gripe? Why would he EVER fall for a dog like that?
-
Shit I saw "kill off" and "Abruzzi" in the same sentence, I'm not reading this thread anymore lol…
-
God damn!
They shouldn't changed the name after Season 1 to:
EVERYBODY DIES
-

How can you watch this show in japan?
-
Yea, there are what, only 4 of them left lol
-
How can you watch this show in japan?
How can you watch One Piece/Naruto/Bleach in America? ^_~
-
Haha, ouch.
Is it me or is T-Bag stealing the show now? What a fantastic actor. -
Yeah, past two weeks he's been killer….er...no pun intended.
-
-
Oh now that was just all kinds of awesome right there.
Friggin' Fox River looks like a playpen!
-
Anyone started watching season 3? Checked out the first two episodes, and this season looks pretty cool to me…
-
I have indeed. Episode 1 - two necks snapped, what I like to see. Episode 2 - Michael gets some meaningless items together and solves a big problem which gets him the trust of a powerful criminal in the jail, also what I like to see.
Bring on Episode 3!
-
I… I just watched season 3 Episode 3.
A GODDAMN CLIFFHANGER
! I SWEAR TO GOD IF THEY KILL SARAH URGH
I mean, I never really cared for Veronica, but her death does seem pointless.
And I'm starting to like Sarah since season 2.
! Goddamn. -
I shall express my thoughts of the latest episode (S3E04) in the little box below:
! sihfoishtiow4ahthwihtio23tyhaw.3toiosehtilserdhtse4j5m4bvslejkrthdkhltkrsd
Okay, well, really:
! That was probably one of the biggest shockers in Prison Break for me. SARAH?! I'll admit, it seems as if they were leading up to something like this from the ending of the last episode, but- geez. I'm hoping there's some twist where she's still alive.
-
Huh, wiki says that the actress that plays her is pregnant so she won't show in the first batch of season 3. But she's dead. I don't get it.
That leaves me in a bad mood throughout an otherwise good episode; Sucre coming back to the escape team, Bellick getting his ass burned and Mahone being a crazy SOB.
@#@#&@&#!T@!^!@&!Y&@!
-
Oh man, I'm so happy she's dead.
Anything with love in PB that DOESN'T involve C-Note is just awkward and awful. The whole Michael/Sarah thing rubbed me the wrong way from the start. It wasn't AS bad or Veronica or AS fucking annoying as Sucre's goddamn neverending Mari Cruz fetch-quest from hell but still, it was an annoying motivation. I'm glad she's dead but this means we'll have to deal with Emo-field down the road.
Speaking of which! more than anything, that half-assed ending to the Mari Cruz thing was terrible. YES it made perfect sense that Bellick lied. Not only did it make sense, it was great that we wouldn't have to follow Sucre on another damn fetch-quest. BUT…....really? I mean.....really? I mean the bitch didn't wait for Sucre in the first place and now we're supposed to believe she can wait now? I just….ugh. I HATED that storyline. Glad it's on hold. Now they can concentrate on things that rock, like Scoffield's mind working at warp speed. Seriously, I see a lot of reviewers hated the last episode, but if anything more than the first two awful episodes full of ridiculous plot holes (how the hell did Lincoln buy an English copy of an obscure bird-watching book in PANAMA!!??) I loved this episode by far the most. Bring it on!
-
I used to love Prison Break. But now I'm not as interested as I used to be. I started to watch the 3rd season but I didn't finish the 1st episode. The only TV series I am really interested in is Lost. PB isn't as fun and exciting as it used to be. Which is sad…
-
You should watch beyond the first episode.
PB's best season would appear to be its first, but this season got fantastic after the first three episodes. It was a huge awkward setup but everything is in place now and Mikey's doin' his 'thang'.
-
yes i love Prison Break
season 4 last season T_T
comin back on April 17 9pm Zanbai :)
-
Well here I go :
I watched this series cca: 2 years ago and honestly : it was prety bad I think . I found it kind of insulting when after an entiere season devoted to a break out we ended in a second prison . But not after our heroes atempts at escape were always foiled at the last second Dick Dastardly style .
Also , that guy chopping of his hand and then walling in a woman and her kids to force them to be a "family"…..I did not sympathise with that ,I found that highly anoying .
As for the conspiracy.....I could not care less about it .
-
Season 1 was incredible. Season 2 was hit and miss. Most of the 'hit' being attributed to Mahone.
Season 3 was awwwwwwful.
Season 4 was awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwful.
-
I did not see anything beyond them being locked up again . Honestly it was cause it stoped syndication here but even if it comes on I will not watch it . I would rather watch 4400 .
-

Essentially.
4400 was an interesting lil show.
It suffered from "Stephen King Miniseries" disease thou.
In that the acting and direction is horrible but the material has TONS of potential.
I also spent the better half of seasons 1-2 yelling BLACK POWER!!! everytime the african-american war hero cat was on screen since his power was a mystery for OH so long.
-
We're kinda gettin sidectracked again .
Can anyone fill me in , in short , what happened after the whole "second imprisonment" thing ?
-
@No:

Off the top of my head all I remember was some gang war shenanigans, the "GERMAN ENGINEERING!" guy from the VW commercials had a prominent role (lol), they escape and then shit happens that really made no sense.

Usualy nonsensical shit can make stuff at least negatively interesting aka F.T.
My idea of a no sense death would be someone suddenly killed by a falling cow btw .

Much worse.
