My main beef with 8 is that it had at least 1 cd's worth of utter boredom.
I completely hated the assassination of Edea part, the prison scarred me, and the missile base + getting Balamb to start moving wasn't any better. The main cast was pretty terrible, and the lack of a proper villain is also a negative.
Everything else was solid. And I found the gameplay itself pretty awesome, and I did spend a lot of time turning objects into magic and boosting my stats and stuff.

He never said it wasn't in shikai. All he said is that he doesn't know the name of it, which isn't even required for a zanpakuto that's always in shikai anyway.

Learning its name has its advantages though, since, I think it's Zangetsu that said it once, the power of attacks increases many times once you learned their name…

Sprial King was fantastic btw, and I liked how they drew everyone at the wedding, especially Viral. Epic speeches were great too.

Dissapointed that Boota remained tiny all the way to the end though. Also a pity that Yoko lost her spark and turned into nothing more but two ugly fat massive mammals after the time skip.
And WTF at adult Rossiu...man, that's a messed up face.

Anyone started watching season 3? Checked out the first two episodes,and this season looks pretty cool to me…

Didn't Byakuya use something called like "senkai" or something during his fight…that shape when all the petals compressed into a dome of swords..

The ED is great though…

! Le Chevalier dEon, Charles de Beaumont, was a real-life diplomat and spy in 18th century Europe, most famous for being of questionable gender. DEon worked as a spy, politician and soldier for King Louis XV for many years, before returning to France during the rule of King Louis XVI. After his return to France he lived and dressed as a woman. It was not until his death that doctors confirmed that he was a man.

It's definitely worth watching.
The story and characters are very very good. And the animation…Oh the animation. It's nuts. And episode 18 may be the best animated/produced anime episode I've ever seen come out of Japan.
Plus the designs, the proportions, the backgrounds and everything. It's a joy for the eyes.

Probably my favourite anime since Gankutsuou.
