@scionkai:
No offense bro but i totally disagree with u..how could u assume he has no time to put on his bandana? this is a manga..there is always time if oda wants to draw it
Possibly, but if Zoro suddenly stopped in the middle of action and said "hang on a sec, I'm putting my bandana on", it would have destroyed the momentum, right? It didn't destroy the momentum of the Ohm or Kaku fights, because – to be blunt about it -- there was no momentum! But in this fight and in the Brahm fight, the momentum was intense. And there was no bandana in either of those fights...
So my heretical belief is that it's not the bandana that indicates Zoro's "I'm getting serious"-ness, it's the Iai. That is, whether he's got his bandana on or not, when Zoro puts away his other two swords and prepares Wado for a single-sword Iaido move (Phoenix, Lion Song, Cannon, Dragon, etc) THAT'S when he's getting serious. The bandana is only to hide his expressions from opponents.
not gonna debate with u
Whoops! Disregard that last paragraph then.
peace!
Peace.
We'll agree to disagree.
@bluebird47:
i got some nitpicks about zoro's consistency near the end. when he slices ryuma its with his left hand, when he falls its with in his right hand, and when he falls into the ground holding onto the sword, suddenly its stuck in the floor. which wudnt make sense, coz i'd like to think it unnatural for him.
bluebird47, I could be wrong about this, but the way I interpreted it was as follows:
He slices Ryuma with his left hand, but because his right hand is gripping his left wrist as he slices Ryuma, that could indicate that he's hurt his left hand from the impact, or that he needed to give his left hand some extra support during the slice. Regardless, the right hand is very close to the sword, so it wouldn't be difficult for him to grab the sword with his right hand from his left as he fell (especially if the left hand was in pain and not able to hold the sword steady anymore). When he falls, the sword is on the left side of him. A little odd, since he had it in his right hand on the way down, but not impossible, assuming he dropped it while falling. However, when he catches Ryuma's sword, Wado has suddenly jumped to the right side, and there's no logical explanation for that! So good call on that one! Looks like Oda may have gone with the left in one draft, and with the right in the other draft, then mixed the two versions up accidentally in the final.
