@Cyringohn:
That would be nice.
The best fighting games are the ones where there isn't some definite line between being competitive and casual. Anybody should be able to pick up a fighter and, with adequate practice, be able to compete.
Amen, god dammit. Or, failing that, we could just throw all of the move-spammers and glitch-advantage-takers into a pit and then light them on fire. From playing with my friends I think I'm pretty good at the game, and I'd love to test my skills against someone like from the real world, but with the thought that I might get pitted against someone like that Fox against me looming… No thanks. I enjoy playing the game without all that millisecond-timing-accidental-programming stuff.
On another note, I love this update. Super Metriod is still one of my favorite games ever, and this makes me wonder if seeing the new Metroid level is in our future... At very least, I want confirmation that the real Samus is in this game and not just naked Samus. There was an indescribable pleasure in standing on one edge of the stage and missiling my friends until they resorted to actually beating me up to get me to stop.
Finally, just a random thought, I wonder waht the remaining old characters look like now? The difference between the three Foxes is staggering, and even Mario, Pikachu, and Link have changed a lot over time. Plus, looking at characters between SSB and Melee (particularly Captain Falcon: http://www.smashwiki.com/w/images/d/da/Falcon_ssb.PNG and http://www.smashwiki.com/w/images/0/0a/Captainfalcon.jpg) they changed quite a bit. I wonder what my favorite characters (Captain Falcon, Luigi, and Donkey Kong) look like now.
