Whatever happened to the spinoff?

It's still in production. When is the air date though?

It'll show either during or after Season 2.

holy freaking crap
2 days till it begins again

2 days till it begins again
Yeah, it seems kinda weird after waiting so long, but just two days…
After watching some previews, this season looks promising! Can't wait!
-
With all due respect to the fans; this thing is like a freaking X-Men rip-off of sorts. I can't exactly explain it, but that's just how I feel like it.
The majority of 'powers' aren't anything new, and the personalities of the characters all feel cliche and not interesting. Hiro is a retard, which saddened me greatly mainly cuz I was hoping to like him. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the percentage of Japanese ppl reading American comics near 1%? -
I really liked the first episode, but the series whent straight downhill from that point. It was allways depressing and allways boring. I couldn't care less about any of the characters because they are never happy. They're all emos like Sasuke. The series seemed very intellegent throughout. but the ending screwed it completely. It was way to simple in the end and there wasn't a single action scene in the entire season! The major redeeming points of the series were Hiro and Mohinder (spelling?). these were the two characters that made the show watchable. The series has huge potential. I hope the second season is amazing as I am predicting it will be.

I like your avatar Sylar =p

7 minutes WOOT! LETS ROCK!

God I can't wait.

Not many Japanese read comics, and the personalities do seem cliche, etc.
But you cant really have an original show revolving around "super powers" if a majority of the good powers have already been thought up of. I understand why you think its an X-men rip off, but the "powers" excuse isnt really going to do it.
Sure, we can have a show with original powers, but what new ones is there to think of? Powers like flight, persuasion, imitation, etc are the most popular or the ones people want to see. Would anyone be interested in a show with people who have powers like: Making deadly bubbles, or being able to shit food, or making farts that can kill, or being able to give someone an orgasm by just looking at them? I dont think so.
-
think the reason that it feels like a x-men ripoff is not only the powers but the fact that they are genetical to random people all over the globe…
i mean comeon if they were gentical shouldnt they be limited to a few families at the most?
if they are all over the globe why havent they popped up untill now? why does people with otherwise very different dna suddenly have one gene wake up and activate so eerily close to each other all over?Id prefere it if the powers were bought by mailorder ^^

Wooooooooooooo watching the premire as we speak
-
wow I cant believe that kensai guy was white.
-
LOL, watching the episode
! Nathan pulled a Pell. HAHAHAHAHA! Also it seems George Takei and the Mother Petrelli have been given the black spot in the form of a red symbol (you know the one) over a piece of a picture of them. Probably that eyes person.
ALSO…PUT THINGS IN SPOILER TAGS! Jeez.
-
Woot for
! A mysterious group of badasses! That always makes for a good series.
-
That premire was awsome!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I tell you, what made this episode for me was…
! HRG in the break room
Otherwise, it was more of the same. Also…
! They really need to stop these falling off of building "deaths", they're really lame looking and did no justice for Hiro's father if he really is dead.
-
Wow…that's the only way I can put it. The opener threw so much at you that you had to either absorb like a sponge or be left in the dust. Interesting developments on all of the returning characters thus far, especially Matt Parkman and Nathan. Can't wait to find out what happens with
! Peter and the Spaniards.
-
Woot for
! A mysterious group of badasses! That always makes for a good series.
! What badass group? Can't believe I overlooked this. And I love Caucasian Kensei, very unexpected and hilarious
-
! Peter and the Spaniards.
They're Irish.. Jesus
I have to rewatch the ep because I dislike Claire's new love interest, he isn't original if the last scene is any indication of his character. Also shouldn't Nathan be Mayor? Lastly, if the "originals" were also mutants, shouldn't that fight have been a little more provocative than.. rush.. AAAH… splat
-
! What badass group? Can't believe I overlooked this. And I love Caucasian Kensei, very unexpected and hilarious
! Hiro's dad was talking about them. He said there were 9 left, Linderman, Peter's Mom, Mr. Devauax and some others I forget were a part of.
! So we know 2/9 of them that were remaining, and Hiro's dad is dead now, so there's 8 left. And Hiro's dad isn't a mutant, he was a skilled swordsman.
-
They're Irish.. Jesus
I'm talking about the brother and sister obviously. I'm Irish, I think I can tell what accent they were using.
-
I still can't tell what Maya's power is…..
and damn break room 4TW, and how was that kid flying
Nathan + Beard > Nathan - Beard
and a lot of divorces / lack of wives this time around and the Matt / Mohinder / Noah angle will be awesome
-
Man, what a way to start the season!
! I'm still wondering why Nathan was all deformed when he looked in the mirror. Maybe Peter's radioactivity affected him somehow? This episode had a lot in it that I liked, and really pumped me up for the season, like it should!
-
Well… this is the second episode of Heroes I've ever seen. First being the very first episode. Probably not the best idea, seeing as I had no idea what was going on. I'll probably read about the first season and try and watch this one to see what all the hype is about.
-
! Pretty good season opener though i was hoping for more new characters and I wasn't to fond of pell petrelli. Other wise it was really good
I'm thinking that kid can control wind or something, because of the previews of next week….and for the fact that another flying character would be lame Hopes sylar comes back soon -
My best friend, boyfriend and I all love Heroes. So, we all got together to watch (like we did last season) because we're nerds like that ;p. The Mohinder Fanclub and guest rides again! (Yes the fanclub is only me and my friend Mark.)
As for the episode:
! Well, we all had a lol when Claire and her family moved to Costa Verde (Probably a play on the city of Palo Verde). Nothing is really that different from Texas, skimpy wardrobe or not. I really dislike the boy Claire apparently starts liking. He's a stalker for goodness sake. And what was the deal with that "Are you a robot or an alien?" stuff? He's probably evil, or at the very least psychotic. I'm going to laugh my ass off if Claire finds herself in trouble because of the boy. Should have seen it coming sweetheart.
! And is it just me, or did he say his name was West? o_O;.
! As for HRG, that breakroom scene was full of win. I think I may be in love~! Nah, I kid, I kid. Nathan and the beard is definately interesting. But on the mayor thing, perhaps he resigned? It'll probably be explained later on, or maybe even in the next episode. And the way that Hiro's father died was totally anti-climatic. Even if Hiro's dad didn't have powers, the person who killed him did. Why nothing flashy?
! And gaijin Kensei was awesome. And not just any type of foreigner, but a snarky jerk at that. Salt and saffron make a man very, very rich in 1641. The Latino siblings (I'd say they're Honduran, but I'm not sure if that is indeed their country of origin) seem very promising. Could the brother perhaps be immune to his sister's power, or is he just insanely lucky?
! My friend and boyfriend commented on how the situation with Mohinder, Matt and Molly (3 M's. Another multiple of three. Stupid patterns in mythology.) is like a reverse of what happens with the character Vivio in Nanoha Strikers. Has anyone else noticed that Mohinder also seems a bit more sadistic? That phonecall with HRG just didn't sound like he was the same Mohinder as he was at the start of Season 1. Not that it's a bad thing mind you. I just want to know that I'm not completely insane here.
! I have a nickname for the guy who can turn things (or maybe just metal, I'm assuming) into gold. Midas is just to obvious, so I'm calling him Inflation Man. Why? Gold can be accepted as a form of currency. If you make more currency, it's value goes down. So, this man could in theory destroy an entire economy. I'd like to have that power quite frankly. I'm also not the only one who keeps thinking of the Eye of Sauron whenever Molly has a nightmare, right?
! My other question is: why is it that Peter has become Jason Bourne? Dx. Not sure if want. He's also apparently taken over the Haitian's job, if the necklace says anything.Next week's episode seems interesting. We can see where Sylar went after he crawled down that hole where he should have died, imo. Then again, he is proving to be a good cockroach.

-
Awesome episode
! Kensei being white was weird,I'll bet that West is a robot or a alien
-
West is Superman…. oooooh waves hand
-
@Radical:
Hopes sylar comes back soon
Pretty sure he's back next week, if you go off of the next-episode preview.
-
I think Maya/Alejandro's powers are kind of like a ball and chain. Alejandro is the chain, and when it gets too far from Maya, it snaps. Maya goes berserk. Then again, that doesn't explain the bloody eyes.
-
Maybe Maya's powers have more of a religious symbolism to them?
You've heard claims of statues of various religious icons crying tears of blood right? Maybe it's a play on that.
-
Ugh, I went to IGN, and the people are complaining how there wasn't any big twist this episode. Seriously, it's the season premire. It's supposed to set up the rest of the season, not throw huge curve balls right away. If they did that every episode, we'd be worn out by the fifth episode.
-
Yeah, that's pretty lame. I'll stick to this topic. :P Season premiere was good enough for me.
-
I loved that premiere.
Last season that girl said there was a really powerful guy, but now it turns out theres a team of them. The one who tackled Hiro's dad off the building was awesome too.
One thing I really hated was
! That guy being able to fly. This series better not start re-using powers
Peter's return was really unexpected, especially with the dogchain with that team of badasses symbol on it.
-
Peter's return was really unexpected
Really ?
-
Pell's return was lamer than Peter's.
-
Considering Peter has regen powers, It was 99 percent certain he would return.
And Pell/Peter is not even a comparison. Pell has no such powers, nor was he as important as Peter. Pell was far worse
-
Really ?
The way he was introduced I meant…
Did you expect him to appear in a shipping crate in Ireland with a dogtag on and electricity powers?
I sure as hell didn't.
-
Though if you think about it, Nathan had time to fly away. He could have just brought him out in the air, then jetted out of there. Pell couldn't go that fast.
About the opener, pretty good start I guess. It was pretty good and pretty bad.
Pretty good:
-The stuff with Takei's character and the group (Kept me really interested in the episode)- HRG and the breakroom. Goddamn was that awesome.
- Matt just all around was cool.
Meh:
Clarie's part
Mohinder's partBad:
Hiro and Kensei. It was really boring and I didn't care about it at all. Interesting Kensei was a brit, but that's about it.HORRIBLE:
Maya. Ugh, I know we've barely seen anyway, but I hate her so far. The whole part wanted me to change it. "NO BROTHER I CAN'T CONTROL MY POWERS!! WAAAH"The episode was good, but it would have been a lot better if Sylar was the one at the end of the episode insted of Peter.
-

Honestly some people on this forum make me question how our species continues to survive.
Pell = Carried a nuke into the sky and survived.
Nathan = Carried his brother (the nuke) into the sky and survived.I'm not the first person to refer to him as Pell, stop assuming shit based off of the posts on the last page of the thread, and read a little more before making up shit like this.

Pretty sure I wasn't even responding to you, but whatever.
-
Meh:
Clarie's part
Mohinder's partYeah, i thought Claire's "home-life-pretending-to-be-normal" stuff was gone for good, but we're back to it. Not for too long, i hope. Mohinder is hopeless though.
Overall, a good premiere. Nothing amazing but enough to keep me interested.
-

I read something somewhere that this episode is not gonna be like the first season which was "ordinary people doing extraordinary things" but will be "extraordinary people doing ordinary things". I still think it'll be awesome though, but not a touch on Prison Break :D
-
HOLY FUCK!
"Mudadadadadadadadadadada" was the greatest thing ever. That had to be a reference. It just had to.
-
Wait, so they kill
! George Takei but
! Keep Angela Petrelli alive. BOOOO!Also, Peter is an idiot.
! HE COULD JUST TAKE THE SECRET BOX FULL OF SECRETIVE SECRETS ABOUT HIS SECRET IDENTITY WHERE HE WEARS THE MOST SECRET SECRETIVE CLOTHES SECRETLY….with his over 9000 powers. Really stupid.
Though Mohinder gets points for…
! working with HRG as well as saving the Haitian
-
! Questions Answered: The Latin Wonder Twins powers. It seems Maya has a death stare that only her brother can cure.
! Claire can regenerate.
! The Haitian was hiding in Haiti and is now resuming work with HRG/Noah.
! Kensei is a healer. Thus showing how stories of him stabbing himself can be told.
! New Questions: The Box. It holds Peter's Identity according to the Irish man.
! Who attacked Mama Petrelli? Same guy who killed Mr. Sulu?
! The Seven Paintings. Will HRG/Noah find them? Will there be other people looking?
! Cool Scenes: Hiro's Dio Impression.
! Peter owning the Irishmen.Overall, it was great. From the looks of things there's no "Save the Cheerleader Save the World" campaign.
