Sorry, I've never downloaded One Piece chapters before. I usually just read them online, but I'm going to make an exception for Moria-sama.
I suggest you download it, but either should work. It comes as a zip archive, but any modern computer should be able to read the contents of it.

All the things that we basically suspected will be either supported, I want to see if they just let Luffy go (like they did with all th emen in woods) or if they throw him in a cage with Sanji and Luffy.
If it is the cage, its time for Usopp/Sogeking (I'm really rooting for his return) to pick the lock and then have a good ol' fashion assualt and single combat for victory!
Oh, I can't wait!If that happens, I will be sooooo excited for some mirror matches!

Gecko actually looks small compared to other giants, or maybe he's just a big person like the ones in Franky Family.
And I just found out that the two headed zombie isn't two headed, but just the movement of the head made it seem so.

Still is weird that he has the Kage DF and use scissors and light to steal shadows. I mean DF is a power of your body you don't need anything but your body...

Anyone know how the Kage Kage no Mi works, exactly? Just because Moria cuts off shadows with scissors and a light doesn't mean he has a DF power.
Normal physics don't apply in the One Piece world, remember? I mean, there's CP9, who can jump off the air without a Devil Fruit power, then there's Mohji, who can 'control any animal', Cabaji, with his 'fire-breath' trick, etcetra…...

I absolutely love Moria's design. Pure awesomeness, probably the best one among the Shichibukai.
Also it's quite obvious he's not a giant, he's roughly the same size than Whitebeard or the fat guys of the Franky Family.

I like Moria's design because it wasn't what anyone was really suspecting (since he appeared to be a giant, I tihnk everyone was expecting some super zombie viking). I wouldn't call it one of Oda's greatest ever, but it's grown on me and it's a pretty creative design.
I mentioned this in the spoiler thread, but he reminds me of some of Toriyama's monster designs in Dragon Quest. I just can't remember which ones.

After a quiet two weeks (well more), its great to be back commenting on OP chapters. Thanks, BF for all you've done.
Well give a cigar who whoever gave the "Oogie-Boogie" analogy to Moria…though somehow he reminds me of a cross between Oogie and a devil. (and he too has stiches...its just weird that everyone except Perona has stiches on this ship...his bounty is a bit lower than I expected too: just twenty million more). And I'm sort of shocked that he was so easily able to capture Luffy and steal his shadow...though if someone could explain Brooke's whole explanation to Robin & Franky, it might be easier to explain how he does it. (though its great they have to use a giant spotlight to draw out the shadow)

At first I thought Moria looked lame….but now that I've read this chapter for a bit, he looks cool. Isn't that weird?
Also, Perona-chan's so cute in this chapter.

Ah yeah, I do see a "Ka-Ka-no-", and I'm counting on you guys [or not so, it's kinda obvious with that] that's a "ge" there. :D
So as I understood the Kage Kage no Mi:
It's Paramecia. It allows Moria to literally touch shadows and grab them. Of course, he'd need scissors to separate the shadow, and light so the shadow is clear and nice to catch.
He can do it without them probably, but it's probably harder and takes a risk for the shadow's quality.After separating a shadow from the body, that shadow can be used to resurrect a body that was alive before. A "zombie" in other words, who has the personality and fighting style of the shadow owner.
The shadow owner loses concious [sp?] for undetermined time due to disabling shadow from him. Now he's sensitive to sunlight, but it is unknown currently what happens to the shadow if he dies.I'll put my money on saying the shadow will disappear. The old dudes with wounds are still alive there.

Umm, I dunno. Like I said, I think he can rip it. Why not rip it? Well, maybe it hurts the shadow more than it hurts the owner, the shadow might be damaged and ruined.
Scissors do a decent job. Same goes about the light - A lighter shadow might have weaker results. -

I've spotted a fatal, plan-ruining flaw in Moria's plot.
So, presumably they're going to bond Luffy's shadow to number 900, right?
They've forgotten one thing. Luffy is an idiot.
Which means 900 will be an idiot too. And just because 900 has Luffy's shadow does not neccesarily mean he'll have Luffy's strength.

If Moria's power is to make shadows into solid, then maybe his fighting style includes using shadows as weapons by making them (shadow) solid!
