! My aunt was saying that Locke would trick Sawyer into killing him, then I was all "…DUDE, OF COURSE! He's the real Sawyer, he's dead.
! Deserved it.
Completely agree, I personally judge him as just in his actions.

Great episode, and it can only get better.
Though I wonder how they're going to handle Locke's flashbacks now. Only two flashbacks didn't have Cooper in them, so the only other thing that seems to need explanation is why Locke can't kill a person.
Huh. Wonder if this was a mistake; in Season's 1's episode Outlaws, "Mary" was called "Brooke" in the credits.
@Janken:

He probably can just, not his dad.
Last night's episode definetely made up for not having a new One Piece chapter this week. I wonder if Sawyer will start calling himself "James" now.
He probably can just, not his dad.
And that narc from his time spent with those marijuana growing hippies.
Great episode.
! From the first time Locke said that he couldn't kill Ben I knew it was his father and not Ben, because why should Locke care about killing Ben?
! The whole "Huck Finn was taken" line was amazing.
And as far as what to do with Locke's flashbacks, let's not forget his mysterious connection to Mikhail ^O^
Awesome episode. Sawyer was savage and fragile all at once. Can't WAIT to see what this does for his character.
Now Locke and Sawyer both have a heavy burden that's been lifted from their lifes. I can't say for sure if Locke's decision to "Go his own path." is exactly a wise one. From what we know about his character, he hasn't really had a change of heart, since he still thought to warn Sawyer about Juliet and how the Others planned to take Sun's baby. He's going with the Others, but that can still mean he has good intentions. Besides, it's not like pulled a Robin on Sawyer when he said he wasn't coming back.
About next week
! I know that it'll be Ben's flashback, and we'll get revelations about the DHARMA Initiative, and hopefully find out if what Ben said about living on the Island his entire life was true. Another loose end that might be tied up is "The Purge", Mihkail mentioned. On top of that, Jacob will be seen for the first time.
Now Locke and Sawyer both have a heavy burden that's been lifted from their lifes.
For Locke? Maybe so. For Sawyer? I think his burden has just been made thrice as heavy. Sure, he did what he set out to do, but…....what does he do now?
I mean think about it, his life was based around one man that he just extinguished. He needs to find a purpose and goal because he just accomplished what he's been living to do. I really hope they deal with him appropriately because this could be a HUGE turning point for him.
And um....since he just pulled the OP equivalent of reaching his 'dream'......I'm uh....kinda scared for his safety now...

If that recent event with Hurley was any indication, i have the feeling Sawyer could assume a leadership position soon.
Anyway, i like the path he and Locke are going. While some of the old guys are being wasted (like Claire, Jin or even Sayid) they're arguably the most developed characters this season so far.
..in other hand, Kate is annoying me so much lately.
And um….since he just pulled the OP equivalent of reaching his 'dream'......I'm uh....kinda scared for his safety now...
Don't even think it, if they do all the old ladies and mothers and crazed female fans of lost will riot in the streets.
Wow I didn't know a whole thread on Lost existed here.
Been a great fan of lost since season one. Love the show. Can't wait for next week's episode on Ben.
Anyway, Sawyer's story is probably not done. There's still an unknown Tampa Job. I fear for Kate though - her story is pretty much done.

And me. He's up there with Zoro in the exclusive list of 'Males that make me question my sexuality albeit briefly'
Sawyer's story isn't done. And I think the proof that the writers have enough killer talent to make something of nothing came from D.O.C. where another story from the extraordinarily limited Sun and Jin history remained strong and interesting.
But let's just say, with his 'dream' accomplished, that leaves room for self sacrifice. Which….yeah. T^T
A great, great episode. It just confirmed me how I have felt about the series: to me John Locke is Lost. I haven't been wanting to see a next episode this badly since the final of the first season!
Dunno about Sawyer but, yeah, as the final of the season 3 is closing in we can start to speculate who are going to die. They still have time to kill of a lot of folk and you know somebody's still going to die. Charlie seems like a no brainer. They can't have Desmond saving his ass forever or it will get repetive at some point… I just realized Charlie's actor was a hobbit in LotR movies --- it took just almost three years for me to realize that :sideways:.
This might be totally random and unlikely but I think Jack might die. There have been a billioin Jack flashbacks already and... if they can only have one leader I choose Sawyer.
^
The first time I saw that was when I saw the first few episodes of the second season. I quit after the first couple of seconds to avoid spoilers. Then, after finished watching the entire season on DVD, I watched it again. It's hilarious how something as serious and dramatic as Lost can have such fodder for a parody like this. The scenes the creator decides to mock match up to the songs so well.
Lost's days are numbered

In a manner of speaking. I dunno. I'm happy and sad. I'm happy they don't wanna whore it if they do go ahead with the oft spoken of 5 Seasons but….then what will I have left? Housewives and Prison Break? They're REALLY good, but not Lost good.
I'm just glad we're pretty much garunteed now that they won't whore it out for five more years for it to be cancelled with no closure.
I'll miss the entertainment on Wednesdays, though. Guess I'll have to start watching House or something…
Well, they mentioned that the show was expected to end at the fourth or fifth season, so this isn't really news to me. At least we can be rest assured that they won't stall tying up the rest of the loose ends and mysteries. I'm with Strange One, sometimes it's better for some shows to end so they don't outstay their welcome. It's not like Lost has, but 4 seasons is a decent time to end the show IMO.
Lost won't be 4 seasons.
If anything 5. They've said many times before it has about 100 episodes of story in it. The question is if they'll go beyond 5. And frankly, if there isn't a need to, I hope they don't. It doesn't change that it sucks but yeah.
When they started Lost they said it would only be 5 anyway, and this was a fact that everybody has ignored.
I hope at least a couple of them somehow escape the island.. It would be nice to know someone got back to the real world somehow.
They'll definitely escape.
In fact, I think the key to it was in the first episode.
I've had to watch the first episode so many times in class I practically have it memorized line for line.
Kate asks Jack how he knew so much about the plane to which he responds, "Took a few flying lessons, but it wasn't for me."
I think he's their ticket off.
Here it is folks:

Lost will be….........
Six Seasons!
What does this immediately call to mind?
HOLY FUCK! AN EXTRA SEASON!!!???? SIXTH SEASON!!!???? LOST IS SUCH A WHORE!!!! IT'S A WHORE I TELL YOU!!!! A WHOOOOOORE!!!!!!!!
is what a lot of dumbasses are probably thinking at the moment.
Calm the shit down and read that again. Particularly this part:
The episodes will air uninterrupted over three seasons (16 episodes each season), with the series concluding in 2009-10 with a highly anticipated and shocking finale.
That's 6 episodes less each season. 6 episodes across 3 seasons = 18 episodes, that's essentially an entire season.
Thus….. LOST = 5 Seasons. Exactly as has been said from almost the very start of it.
Yes, I like it. I like it a lot. And the people who claimed LOST was just proceeding with no vision or end date? I cordially invite you to suck it.
That's 6 episodes less each season. 6 episodes across 3 seasons = 18 episodes, that's essentially an entire season.
I heard about this from radio yesterday and a newsman spoke that Lost would end up being over 120 episodes long and I thought they got it all wrong because 6 seasons would make it over 150 episodes long but it seems he was right all along. Damn you, radio. You won this round.
Does 16 episodes mean that there still will be double episodes as finals? You know, is it 14 normal episodes and plus a two episode finale or is it 15 episodes and a two episode finale or is it 15 episodes and plus a normal one episode finale?
I'll miss the entertainment on Wednesdays, though. Guess I'll have to start watching House or something…
HOUSE is on Tuesdays.
I watched first and 2nd season of lost. After third it got stupid. I mean they NEVER reveal ANYTHING important. And it even puts more confusing stuff to add to it. Its turning into Family Guy too, flashbacks galore.
It depends on where you are in the third season. I'll admit that they haven't solved as many mysteries, and they deviate from the earlier ones. It's just that this season decides to focus more on the Others instead of the strange events on the island. But, it's not like they haven't revealed anything important. Just look at the last couple of episodes.

The flashbacks have always been there :wassat:. And unlike Family Guy, they do more than just fill air time. Lost is a show of patience; if you don't have any, then it really isn't for you.

You obviously haven't watched the third season if you think that they never reveal anything important.
It's an insult to intellegent television that you actually compared LOST to Family Guy.
I mean they NEVER reveal ANYTHING important.
This comment is HILARIOUS coming from a member of a ONE PIECE message board.
intellegent television
Two words in which I never would have thought would go together.

Are you a real LOST fan?
As long as I'm hooked at the beginning of a show I'm almost certainly hooked for the lifespan of said show, I don't give up on a show unless it really has jumped the shark, and I'm not talking about an ordinary shark, I'm talking about a really rare and insane shark.
I would really like to post in this topic, but I know I can't.
I read the spoilers for this series too :X

Enter Zombie Season ^O^

Intellegent Television: Two words in which I never would have thought would go together.
I assume you don't get HBO, because The Wire and The Sopranos are top notch intellegent television.
Or you could go and watch the Discovery Channel's documentary 'Planet Earth'. That will absolutely blow your mind in at least twelve different pieces.
Only the first 15 minutes and
! Roger was Ben's father! Holy shit on a shit sandwich! Ben as a kid looks a bit like Harry Potter. XD Apparantly, DHARMA knew about others already living on the island before the start of the DHARMA Initiative.
edit: WTF?
! I was really convinced that Jacob was Ben's imaginary err…. leader. That's until seeing all the crazy crap going on aroung him and Locke.
…holy shit.
(16 chaaaarwtfs)
It could still be telekinisis + split personalities, just like Michael's son has weird powers.
Although I dunno if s/he would ask for help from himself/herself though…
More ghosts ftw. RIP
The shit has just hit the fan. Hard.
So…..
! Why did Ben shoot Locke again?
'Cause he's crazy.
Haha, I don't know. For a shocker plot twist.
! We actually saw Jacob there for a split second! When Ben said "That's enough" and flew away from the chair the camera moves back to the chair and a man sits in it. It's too dark to see the face but it's definately not Ben sitting in it. He actually looks a bit like that guy from "Drive" (recent show that got cancelled) who stopped Alex Tully and gave him his new car. But I don't know that actor's name.
Okay…..
I've calmed down.....
But just.....HOW!!!???? How does one even begin to start assessing this episode? HOW!!!!!????
I mean, WHUH!!!?????
There are entire series that don't pack as much AMAZING as was encapsulated in this mere 45 minutes.
I liked to start things by saying, "First....", but that simply doesn't apply here. It's just all there.
Ben. Lying SOB. But what did he lie about? Being born on the island. What doesn't it appear he was lying about? JACOB THE FUCKING INVISIBLE MAN CAPABLE OF TALKING TO PEOPLE MENTALLY, SHAKING THE SHIT OUT OF BUILDINGS AND REALLY REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY HATES FLASHLIGHTS!!!!
GAH!!!!! JUST GAH!!!!! WITH A SIDE OF GAH!!!!
Then Roger 'Workman' as Ben's dad??? If you saw that one coming you deserve a freaking Double Stuff Oreo.
Ben being born in the wilderness alone was freaking amazing.
LOCKE SHOT AND LEFT FOR DEAD CHRIST ON A CROSS NEXT WEEK CAN'T POSSIBLY COME FAST ENOUGH!!!!!
Richard Alpert!!!???? One of the Hostiles???? And also SECRETLY NON-AGING SUPERHUMAN!!!?????? Hooray for characters I thought were secondary and didn't given a fuck about way back at "Not in Portland".
Ethan has to have been one of them. That would explain his abnormal 'abilities'.
Juliet confronts everything and brings everything/everyone up to speed slicing like a katana through the angst bullshit? THANK YOU!
Sawyer going directly to Sayid for advice? THANK YOU!
Ben was with Dharma but deflected to Hostiles!!??? FUCK ME!!!
Smoke Monster as Ben's mom!!???? WOW!!!
THIS WAS WAY TOO MUCH BUT I MEAN THAT IN THE BEST OF WAYS!!!!
Lost beats the living shit out of every other television show ever.
Nevermind which actor I thought Jacob was. I just remembered now, he got killed by Juliet earlier But yeah what I'm interested in now is "The Hostiles" Richard is one of them, but who else? Tom? Ethan? Goodwin?
I think there's gonna be an eruption of hate against Juliet in the next episode.
I can't believe I didn't notice Richard Alpert as one of the original Others until Greg pointed it out! So, besides him, and maybe Ethan every other person in the Others' barracks was recruited by Ben. I'm starting to wonder if Ben knew Kelvin, too since his reason for being on the island was similar to Mikhial's. He might've known Radzinsky, too.
It's so hard to believe that Ben was the one who started The Purge and killed every member of the DHARMA Initiative with the help of the Others. Plus, the mystery of the whispers in the woods has been solved.
By the way, I thought Ben looked kind of weird with a full head of hair.
Who's Radzinsky? And I want more answers about Russeu… She is definately hiding a lot of things.
And it looks to me like Richard (and maybe more) is using Ben to do something... but I can't quite tell what it is. Oh and Ben seems to be losing control over the Others because of Locke.
Radzinsky was Kelvin's partner in The Swan before Desmond got to the island. Though he's only been mentioned. He was the one who drew the island map on the blast door and cut out the frames to the orientation film.
