it works as a way to further cements Blackbeard as a force to be reckoned with, maybe even making him the main antagonist of the series, and it is hinted the result of this battle would have a major influence on the world.
Right, I mentioned the fact that it says 'something will change' but…besides from someone thinking Ace is dead (when he isn't....even if he writes it to make it seem like he is) and then taking an action based on that misconception, I can't see what other great sweeping effect this can have. So yes, I'm sure the repurcussions will be important but...I dunno if we needed to waste a chapter on something with an obvious result when we haven't seen the crew in a month.
Even for the storyline it is an event that is far more important than Robin squeezing Franky's balls
I really didn't like that chapter either.
or Usopp breaking down like a newborn.
Already went down the road of why that was incredibly important and if you don't agree, that's your opinion.
It is probably a huge turning point in the story, so that's why I don't understand how you could find it lame. To each his own I guess.
Well that's the point. I don't see how this is a turning point.
Who didn't think this would be the outcome of the chapter?
Yeah okay we saw some flashy stuff. But given way back when, when we knew Blackbeard had the power to take out a country, has crew members insane enough to infiltrate a meeting of Marine Officials and Shichibukai, and a character that OP's initial badass Shanks (a man who can make people faint by walking by them) even warns literally the Strongest Man in the World about…..........you know Ace was gonna get his shit handed to him and if you didn't, read more shonen action comics.
What's the worst part? Ace isn't dead.
I was hoping he'd have taken 3/4 of the chapter for that event and then brought us back to speed with the crew.
