Oh, hey.
The Muppets

Oh, hey.
-
HBO Max is having a talk show with Elmo.. interesting
I heard something about this on facebook
-
. . . . . not sure Elmo was meant to be a talk show host. That's more Miss Piggy's or Gonzo's line.
-
Oh, hey.
Skeeter sounds nice with Cree Summer in the role. But that clip has a poster of Link and Dr. Strangepork, both as toddlers. How…how does that work?

Muppets Now! is coming to Disney+ July 31st!
https://collider.com/disney-plus-muppets-now-release-date/ -
Also, Apple TV is doing 5 minute Fraggle Rock shorts. Basically the premise is they're youtubing to talk to each other.
Two of the old voices/puppeteers are on board for it including Karen Prell as Red and Dave Goelz as Boober/Uncle Matt. Pretty nice that they got them back (and they never really left) after 37 years.
The original voice for Gobo died years ago so of course he's replaced. And the original voice for Wembley was Steve Whitmire, the voice of Kermit until recently… so I guess being fired from that keeps him off Fraggle Rock too.
-
World Peace. Fraggle Rock stands for World Peace…
-
Well this is certainly a thing. A fan production but some of the impression s are pretty good.
Kermit sounds right, but can't sing very well. (That's the case for several of them… the impression is good but the singing isn't great.) Their Gonzo is terrible, he probably shouldn't be the first voice you hear. Rest of the voices are decent thou!
The Schuyler Sisters at 14:00 is just… wow. Something else. The casting is inspired. And Satisfied at 33:37... wow. That's six solid minutes of commitment.
-
-
New Kermit voice is still weird, but this is the first time I've really heard it at length. He's got the personality down cold though.
-
Five episodes into Muppets Now and, yeah, this show really needs more variety.
They've just been doing the same 5 or 6 skits over and over again and it's getting really old really fast.
-
Still not used to New Kermit after a lifetime of the previous guy, but he's doing okay.
-
It's hard to replace somebody who's been doing it forever. But that's my favorite song from Muppet Movie, not counting Rainbow Connection, so I'm happy.
-
All 5 seasons of Muppet Show coming to Disney+! WOOHOO!!!

Thats the best news all year!
-
Will the music be intact or are they going to butcher it like the dvds?
-
Great news about The Muppet Show is coming Disney+, especially with Season 4 and Season 5 which haven't gotten an dvd release. The only question will the correct music for the episodes be on it.
-
So Baby Kermit is a thing now, who knew:

-
Baby Kermit abandoned us in the 80's to return now, I guess.
-
So uh… Muppet Burlesque is a thing.
It's... the stuff of nightmares.
I'm not posting any of here. But if you want your dreams haunted then
https://imgur.com/gallery/KB1Ae5kA google search for "muppet burlesque show" will find you more.
You do not want more.
-
At first I thought it was going to be the actual puppets.
I know people have their kinks but really.
-
Naughty lady Beaker is kind of funny but naughty lady Swedish Chef really throws me off.
Statler and Waldorph just… why.
-
My only response is "Uhhhhh . . . ."
-
Well, so much for Wilkins and Wontkins being the creepiest things connected to the Muppets.

Yeah I don't think I can even not imagine baby dancing Groot to this song while the Guardians get their butts kicked. Its one of those songs that just belongs to Guardians now.

New trailer for the Fraggle Rock revival (don't get thrown by Mokey's new hairdo):
-
Pretty much a new everything for Mokey, not just the hairdo, since the outfit, hair color, and eyes are all different. I think she's also smaller than she used to be since I remember her being quite a bit bigger than the others.
-
Mokey is definitely more vibrant. Was she too depressing looking before? Too old? I don't get it.
Is this like replacing Skeeter with the Penguin on Muppet Babies?
-
It sorta related to the Muppets. All four seasons of Bear in the Big Blue House is coming to Disney+ on October 19th. I'm surprised it took Disney this long to get this show up on Disney+.
-
Wow. I though BiBBH was a popular show.
-
Theres going to be a new "documentary" on D+ focusing on Electric Mayhem. Sounds like theyre actually putting out a for real Album.
-
That's awesome news to hear. Since Electric Mayhem were my favorite Muppet characters.
-
I will totally buy an Electric Mayhem album. But it has to include "Can You Picture That?" from the movie.
-
FOr D23 they did a panel celebrating the 30th anniversary of A Muppet Christams Carol.
Including reenacting some of the songs. New Kermit is sounding more like Kermit a few years on.
-
-
A song that never gets old.
-
-
Hmm...okay.
-
Hey, I won't complain.
-
It got a few laughs out of me, other than that . . . I'm not sure?
-
How has it taken THIS long to get a Weird Al cameo on the Muppets? HOW?
-
Hey, if they were still doing a regular Muppet show like they should have been, Weird Al should have been one of the first guests. There's a whole list of entertainers just waiting to perform with them.
-
I just watched a fan edit of Dark Crystal that went off the workprint version and dvd bonus features to reinsert the original "raw gibberish language" for the skeksis and wow, it was a very different, much more interesting film.
It's impossible to judge fairly since I've seen the original version many times and know what the expository dialogue is, "trial by stone" and all that, but seeing those critters just making raw gutteral sounds like animals and having to pick out what was going on with the emperor dying and stuff was really neat. Much more thoughtful and makes you pay closer attention.
I 100% understand why test audiences absolutely hated it however and the needed to change it before wide release
