@desa beyond all the sukuna wanking, I actually do like how he constantly innovates/improves on his techniques despite being so strong. Not really a strategist thing but I do enjoy him actually learning and trying things out.

Its possible Sukana hasnt recover enough to make a domain and therefore the lawyer can use his domain with Sukana destroying it with his own.
If he does that that would turn Sukana to pure brawling and that might make people like Maki & Yuuji to have a shot.
Best fighting strategist for me is still Todo. Sukana is more hyper strong than he is the strategist.
While he does the brute strength.
In this fight, we also saw him use advanced tactics and strategies to beat Gojo. Like, he just wasn't spamming super powerful attacks and hoping for the best.

"Love is to have strong opponents lusting to die by your hand.", - Sukuna, writer of plenty of 80s homoerotic coded action movies.

A handful of panels were a squiggly mess imo. Mainly bc kashimo's ct mode or whatever it is. I can only assume there was some hand to hand combat bc I literally cannot make out what's happening in those panels.
-
for what its worth TBC and Viz's translation of Gojo's last words regarding Sukuna sounds less like a dick wanking/glazing situation. I think TBC went back and fixed it because I remembered it being worse.
So yeah, unless I put in the effort to find the original RAWs I don't have an actual idea of what the actual text is but just thought I'll mention it.
-
The opening page stole from Togashi's book, such a shame that he couldn't keep the same high level of delivery through the whole chapter. Sukuna's phylosophy is...just like all generic big bad? But it's funny that he echoes the same question in the reader's mind by the end of the chapter, lol.
-
I can't wait for Yuji to use his unexplained "turn my opponent into my bro" brainwashing technique to win the fight.
That's the only way I can see to "win" the fight.
And next, Bro Sukuna defeats Kenjaku. The end.

Sukuna has literally been inside of him for a long time.
And he is the best Curse User in the verse.
I am pretty sure he knows how to beat Yuuji's friendship ability.

Been watching the Shibuya Incident arc and, okay, yeah, the show's starting to win me back.
Although didn't this show used to be about Yuji and him having to collect some demon fingers or something?
Also, wow, guess I'm glad I watched Jujutsu Kaisen 0 now. Though now I may have to rewatch it.

It still is, but its not that much of a priority.
The shibuya arc was about sealing Gojo, cause he was the only one who could stop Kenjaku
I won't spoil what happens in the manga

All that discussion and contemplation I had over Geto's motives and now Geto isn't even Geto. LOL
-
season 2 episode 13 has got to be the most insanely well animated episode ever in the series and one of the best in the medium as a whole

Thats proven to be strong with how he outwitted Gojo pretty much the entire fight.

some quick comments:
there's no point for the female character at all. I know Gege wants to embrace the allegations and fit the jump author mold of disrespecting female characters whenever but he can consider holding back sometime. You can replace the female character with the eyeball-fling guy and have Kenjaku do the same narration/monologue and it'll be almost the same.
I....really don't care about the comedian guy even if he was meme-material. From the new characters introduced in this arc, I'm only invested in Hiruma(who got an entire chapter and was one of my favourites) and the other guy I was invested in just died last chapter for literally no reason despite being built up for something meaningful.
I guess more Sukuna dickriding is always meaningful to Gege. I'm this close to saying that he is Gege's self insert when that love subplot came out of fucking nowhere.Yuuta will probably appear after the comedian loses and that'll be fun but I really only care about the Yuji side of things because I'm almost certain that whatever happens here, Kenjaku will not die.
-
RIP sky lady look alike. u were literally a pointless 5 second addition.
I vaguely remember a tooth guy in the culling games but have no recollection of who he faced or what he did I don't really care so no need to remind me. just hammers in how 95% of the culling games cast additions were unmemorable and/or irrelevant.Once again the head thing is mentioned about the rct or whatever it is hmmm...is Gege just messing with people or is there a point to reminding people about it?
-
The tooth guy was alright in the culling games. He was just a side character in that, a grunt who worked for Reggie along with the Scorpion Girl, but we didn't know what happened to him after Reggie was defeated. He fought the comedian and then when Reggie died he just dipped. So I'm glad Gege at least showed us what happened, even if he did just exist for Kenjaku to monologue his plans.
Also, are we sure this new girl isn't Uro, but actually wearing clothes now? They look too similar for it to be a coincidence imo and Uro is one of the few characters left from the culling games that we have no clue what happened to them (along with the Sumo guy and the Katana guy who showed up in Maki's fight).
-
@black-leg-jex doubt so. There's plenty to go on why she isn't Uro but its mostly because Uro doesn't shoot hair drills at people (which is a power based on this girl's hairstyle...it's..creative enough for a throwaway character).
-
I suppose but it still bothers me that Gege introduced this character who looks very similar to another character whose already been introduced just to kill her off, rather than jsut using the character they already had.
I know a lot of folks complain about Gege introducing a bunch of random new characters in the culling game but they've been quite good at not leaving any of them just lingering around. They've either died, been captured or are now with our heroes. All except for Uro who just ran away as soon as Sukuna arrived in Sendai. -
Gege's TOC comment: "This lady actually appeared in a rejected version of the chapter 1 storyboards. Heh heh!"
Here's your answer.
-
Seems like nobody remembers Charles which is the last memorable participant, i cant even recall if he was watching the fight with the others in the hideout.
A shame that Gege killed Hazenoki so quickly i liked his cursed technique but hey at least we now have Takaba in action, and might get some good backstory or not since is Gege we are talking about he probably just give us two pages at most lol.
-
Charles got captured/killed by the Americans. We're not sure which one because we didn't see in real time like with Remi and we never saw a body like with Hanyu.

Mh, I thought the comedian would die this chapter, I did not expect to see a backstory. But well, he might bite the dust next chapter.

Hmmm...meh. skippable chapter imo.

okay fine gege you will do well if you do write an idol manga this is like an arrow to the heart as an starving artist

I don't wanna sound hyperbolic or anything, but is this the best JJK chapter in. . .months? A year? I won't say ever, but. . .maybe ever?
No, seriously - this "fight" is kind of incredible. I seriously thought Gege was all out of juice at this point, but he still has it.
-
This was the most chaotic chapter of JJK and I loved it.
-
For me, that was hands down the best chapter of jjk.
I actually love kenjaku now, he's a pretty fun villain. -
Omg I actually had a whole lot of fun reading this. Great pacing, flow and a hella creativity! Loved to see it!

Did Takaba die?
-
No wonder takaba never made it to the comedy big leagues. His and Ken's stand up routine wasn't very good imo. At least compared to the ones I'm used to reading in show-ha shoten. Those kids are miles better :P.
Welp. One step closer to the end I guess?
-
Not sure if that was intended but i could misread that chapter as a sad comedy. The fans only care about how Kenjaku is looking and not about the jokes. But Kenjaku is laughing in the end and for that reason Tabata reached his goal (".Even if 1 out of 99...). On the other hand, Kenjaku is seemingly cheerished because looking like Geto. Does that mean in the same way that nobody cares about the "comedy" of Tabata nobody will care about what Kenjaku has to say.....
-
@El-Matematico said in Jujutsu Kaisen:

Yes he's definitely dead.
I didn't get their comedy routine to be honest. But I am 100% sure its a difference in culture thing.
Still I am surprised Kenjaku is dead.
Now I want to see if the Lawyer dude can give Sukuna a run for his money.
There is no way Sukuna is not judged guilty for his shit.and how does he combat that?Lightning guy was such a disappointment
But man, the next creative work Gege will make is going to be an absolute banger. You can just tell he's learning and growing. It just seem JJK wasn't fully thought it.
-
Takaba is dying happy even though he spoke right before Kenjaku's head got lopped off? Did something whoosh past me with this culling game?
Kenjaku looks like he's about to pull a Muzan.
-
I noticed that Takaba was wearing the traditional ghost clothes, but I wanted some confirmation. I think he basically killed himself with his power. He felt defeated by Kenjaku, so he imagined himself as a ghost and died.
-
I still can't get over how Takaba and Hiruma are going to the ones that will be the two biggest antagonists undoing.
This guys weren't even sorcerors and pretty much popped out of nowhere in this arc.
Yet somehow I didn't hate the handling of Takaba and grew to like him. I already like Hiruma but here's hoping Gege's wank for Sukuna doesn't get in the way of how he's going to be handled. -
Lawyer dude and Takaba are the best thing about the culling games, shame that there was so much bloat elsewhere.

That cursed tool that not-tsumiki gave Sukuna was completely pointless. Had to waste a chapter to destroy it :/
I think I heard Gege said jjk will probably be done before next jump festa and I don't see any reason why they can't accomplish that. We're down to the wire now.
All we have left is
hakari vs the Sukuna stan
A bunch of people vs Sukuna
A bunch of people vs Kenjaku round II: electric boogalooAs long as Gege stays focused and doesn't stretch things out too much they should be able to stay on pace.
-
Poor Yuji, even the author self insert dislikes him.
