Yes it's worth reading and watching.
Nice. Guess I'll start with the anime to be surprised by stuff while watching it being animated amazingly and then read the manga from beginning afterwards.

Oh, they changed the title? That's a pity, I much prefered it to "Demon Slayer".

Yes unfortunately. I liked the initial one too but the first edition sales were terrible so they used the anime success for a reboot
! A chapter for Farewells.
! Nii-chan I don't feel so good.
Genya's death was a toss up for me. I thought he might survive due to the residual demon & him being of the final selection group. Guess the author is not too kind to him. I do feel sorry for Sanemi. That was his last surviving relative.
The mist pillar death is as expected.
I guess the author need to show UM1 is really powerful that he caused the death of 2 people.
! At this point, I'm on the fence whether the series is going to end with this arc. This arc more or less has the 'this is the end' vibe & letting Muzan get away so the gang can train & get stronger make the plot feels dragged out. But with the exception of Love Pillar & Snake pillar, everyone else is injured/dead. It will be an asspull if they can defeat Muzan in this condition. Also, Nezuko is not even present. I feel like she should be there to witness Muzan's defeat…
Who knows what is the author planning.
! Nooo. Genya. I was kinda hoping he'd regen. Guess it was too fatal. Man that's gonna be hard to watch animated especially with Nobuhiko as his voice actor.
! I kinda feel that Mist pillar might wake up later.
! Lmao…I just realized I can't tell if the Rock Pillar was crying over the deaths or if he was just regular crying. Poor guy must be dehydrated all the time.
! Yeah this arc is odd. It does feel so final. But pretty much all of the main characters are injured or are incapacitated. This series is kinda hard to predict.
! I think this chapter is a good solidification of this arc being the last.
It's sad how the two who died were the younger ones and it was honestly a surprise but it is what it is.
Yaiba doesn't cheapen death or use it as shock value but instead there is meaning despite it being so common.
Kind of poetic that the one who is jealous of his younger brother met his end because of two younger brothers who loved their older brothers.
I hope the popularity of this manga serves as a guide to future mangaka on how to handle character deaths and the importance of good writing and how to use death as a device to bolster the story.
So can someone post the link to the chapter please or it can't be posted yet because of the new rule

! I love when there is actual consequences in manga's
Glad that I kept Spy x Family after this chapter. It helped me cheer a little
Why do you guys use spoiler when the chapter is already out?
It's good to use spoiler for a day or two even after it's out for the sake of the people who haven't read it yet.
! Sooooo saaaad . . . . sniff
! Of course Mist Pillar might just live at this point, and like others have said I'm really wondering if this is the end. It feels wrong without Nezuko there to fucking punch Muzan in the face.

The official release is available for free on Mangaplus. You can have more information on this thread http://apforums.net/showthread.php?t=51919
In One Piece manga sub-forum, a dedicate thread is created once the official release is out. Most of the time, official release are out the sunday evening at midnight Japanese time (In western europe it correspond to 22h00 summer time and 21h00 winter time). When monday is a day off in Japan, the release is out on friday evening same hour.

I have a subscription to the shonen jump app. So I get alerts when the chapters are out.
Holy Hell

! RIP Tamayo (& the random fodders). Kinda wish that the author show her reunited with her family. Apparently Yushiro also get affected when Tamayo got killed-curious if he will die.
! Not too surprising that Muzan seem unaffected by the medicine-down the line I'm sure the medicine will have some impact on him when they fight him but for now it seem like he's 'fine'.
! Apparently, breath of the sun has 13 forms while dance of the fire god only has 12 forms. I think everyone pretty much know the significance of the 13 form.
:ninja:
It took 3 of the best Pillars, pushing themselves to their uppermost limit to beat Upper Moon One.
Now they are all gravely injured, and this story tends to take injuries seriously.
I really don't see how Muzan is going down any time soon.
To be honest I hope he doesn't because I am not ready for this story to end anytime soon.
However, he's basically revealed his final form, so common shounen logic dictates that he'll be dying this arc.

This series loves its sudden power-ups during the fights so I wouldn't be surprised if Tanjiro and Nezuko pulled off some kind of ultra combo move combining Sun God breathing and Demon arts to kill him.
or you know, the sun kills him.
What's with manga villains and white hair.
Maybe it's not white. The hair colors in this series are all over the place lol.
Well, fuck. This isn't going to be good.
But any time a villain gets white hair you know it's going down.
Muzan being defeated when most of the demon slayers are heavily injured definitely will leave a sour taste in my mouth if it is not pull off well.
The rock pillar already pointed out the only way to defeat him is the sunlight so they will have to dragged out the fight to dawn.
This series has its fair share of asspull. Most notable is the Rui's fight where Tanjiro remember about his family dance & was able to use it against Rui.
If Muzan is going to down this arc, there sure will be some asspull. Hopefully it will come from Nezuko's end seeing how she is very special among demons.
I also hope the blue spider lily & the whole breath of the sun/fire of the dance god get addressed before the fight with Muzan starts.
I'd prefer the likelihood of an asspull to the author trying to suddenly change their mind and extend this series.
Only Tanjiro would last remember Genya with a smile.
I'm in agreement that the series should end with Muzan's defeat as he was build up to be the defacto big bad. Having a new big bad show up afterwards to extend the series is a total cash grab.
But I'm still on the fence whether Muzan will be defeated this arc. That just my personal opinion.
If it's not white I can't think of a better color though.
And wasn't the Rui fight so called asspull a flop? He didn't win anyway.
But I say this series is a step down in terms of ass pull compared to others.
I think the finale will be something like a long ass stalling game that takes all they have just to reach the edge of dawn.
Now that Tamayo is dead, I wonder where is her companion. Like Nezuko, we will probably see him for the final battle. He needs to avange her.

They showed him react to her dying. He's probably gonna go off.
Oh yes you are right. I mistook him for someone else
When I first read the chapter title I thought it was about Tokito Muichiro or Genya recovering for a second life to push through to the final battle. This chapter felt overwhelmingly sad because of the lives lost even for the fodder demon slayers and fear because how insane Muzan was in his new form.
Haven't looked into the series at all but now I'm interested. Any good?
I've watched the first three episodes. It seems pretty standard so far, though there are some good character moments (and some nice use of CGI).
I'd agree with the video's narrator. I underestimated how good the series was. It's not perfect but I like pretty much all the characters and I'm curious where it's going and for how long. The animation being gorgeous is just another reason to watch the anime. Because seeing what the production team did with not even the top fights has me incredibly stoked for the movie and other seasons.
Humans are shallow beings
Half a year ago hardly anyone in the community bothered about this series.
Not this community but you know, everywhere else.
Chapters release threads gets like 30 comments max but with the anime it shot up to 300-400.
Now not that I'm saying it's a bad thing.
But hey the people out there, if you're shallow you're shallow.
Kimetsu has not been under ANYONES radar for a good few years, it has been mentioned to anyone who have the sense to bother that it was good.
The anime adaption doesn't instantly make the manga so much better or that it's a masterpiece.
That's my issue. It has always been amazingly great, people were just too shallow to bother back then..or because it wasn't the next "narutard" or had good art they didn't bother despite many in the community mentioning about it's quality.
But our numbers were too less.
Now it boomed and every halfwit is jumping on the train.
I'm not targeting anyone I just wanted to rant.
People were shallow and didnt give it a chance because it wasnt popular enough but now that it gained traction they're suddenly a number 1 fan and can create deep video analysis.
MB is such a sellout. My personal opinion though.
Aha, I remember going to the reddit forum since it was the only place with 10 posts a week :-)
I believe the manga suffered a little from the big success of neverland which took all the fame.
At least the Jump readers recognized its merit and its TOC rank were rather good.
I just don't have time to read every new thing that comes out anymore so it usually takes me a few years to start on any series nowadays. With Jump especially too many things get cancelled fast or go to crap by year 3, what's the point?
Looking at you Shokugeki No Soma.
Also, a given manga picking up newfound popularity with it's anime isn't anything new, it happens all the time. The anime hits a wider audience, and can shore up weaknesses of the original work, enhance the pacing, or add in some elements that hindsight show should be in there that the manga didn't get until year two. Bleach this was especially true, the anime went a LONG way to make it the hit that it was by shoring up the pacing, giving it a great soundtrack and good fight scenes. It NEVER would have lasted as long as it did without its anime. And even series that start popular like One Piece, HxH, or MHA get significant boosts from their anime releases. And don't even get me started on how much Attack on Titan owes to its anime boosting its awareness.

Anime is more popular and approachable than manga. Deal with it.
Looking at you Shokugeki No Soma.
To be fair, it was always crap. Well-drawn crap, admittedly, but still crap.
It's fabulous. I only read the manga but the manga is fabulous. And if you want to support official versions Shueisha posts it weekly with all the other Jump series.
Well not all anime adaptations make a manga sales more volumes than One Piece in yearly sales :-)
That say, if you are not in a hurry, I would wait for the manga to be finished which shouldn't last too long now hopefully.
And yes this manga is an excellent title if you enjoy the shonen genre. There is not much of a world building since it is very character oriented. The pace is also quite fast so the manga doesn't lose itself in a never ending plotline
Some people don't like the art but I love it and it really goes well with the manga atmosphere.
How could people not like the art? It's wonderful.
People complain about the art?! What the hell?
Do they have a problem with silly chibis and face faults?!

I think it is because a lot of people like generic art style like Souma or Nisekoi and call it bad when it is a bit original
