This is the first chapter I've enjoyed in a long time. I think the last good chapter was Deku vs Air quirk guy
My Hero Academia II - A true Hero

Gentle didn't had an air quirk. His Quirk was Soft&Bouncy.

Can't go wrong with the LoV.
! Nothing like good villains to elevate a story. So much good stuff and we get several questions answered. That dynamic first page and title! I kept waiting for new members and now we know the League's too busy keeping it together to recruit. We finally get more from Spinner. I love the League keeping a low profile by robbing another evil organization. Not sure what the racist group's Marvel or DC equivalent is. Hydra, maybe? Or, the Friends of Humanity?
! Damn All For One. You couldn't give Shiggy a credit card or your Swiss bank account number? I love the League interacting. A dysfunctional family, but still a family. A family that murders together. That slaughter was a great reminder how powerful they are against anyone without plot armor. And, Doctor Nomu is back! Well, it makes sense because we saw High End, and now Shiggy's got someone who can help him mass produce quirk erasure bullets. Wow, man. The Monarch really missed his League killing window. I just don't see how the Liberation Army can fight the League and Heroes this arc. Either they somehow team up or the League stomps them. No wait, there's one more option: the League gets foddered by LA. Please no. -
! Humanity's lizard brain is still wired for tribes, so race, religion, gender, sexual preferences, sexual identity, profession, social class, language, background, fandoms, pizza toppings, wether you like to have the toilet paper facing in or out in the holder, so if you add super powers and lizard people to the equation, they will join the totem pole of tribes, probably near the top.
! The drastic reduction of quirkless people would be like a total failure of the pineapple chain of distribution, rendering that one moot, but it would give rise to other dangerous effects, like how Shinso or Monoma get treated because low "heroics" quirks, Endeavor and poke-son breeding, and now the anti mutant factions.
! Considering how the anti-mutants were handled this chapter, I'd say that won't be focused for long in the series, and last time a Leaguer got some focus, they blew up Magne. But this is tied to Destro's story, and what a kick in the nuts to his legacy if the pro-quirk movement was taken over by anti-mutants, unlikely as Destro Jr was trying to induct that bear/mouse man, but maybe he was trying to get his "one mutant friend". -
! At the start of the series, I thought the Leauge of Villains were boring and probably the weakest part of the manga (aside from AfO, and Stain if he counts). Now they’ve really grown on me, and if we’re getting an arc dedicated to them, I’m all for it.
-
! LOV always seemed incompetently weak to me, glad to see Hulk agrees with me

HYDRA has moved on from the racist angle since World War II but everyone will always associate them with Nazis lol.

! What about the Purifiers wouldn't they be a more adequate equivalent.
-
! I knew that the league was going thought hard times, but I didn´t expect them to have to steal to just to survive. Maybe Kurogiri was the one with the access to AFO´s money and good hideouts, but still.
! I enjoyed the chapter, it´s cool to see that Shigaraki is a different kind of boss than Overhaul and AFO himself, he talks with the league in a pretty relaxed way and doesn´t mind the jokes. Maybe that will change, but so far I like how close they are to each other, if someone ends betraying Tomura it will hurt me more than the student´s traitor. -
! What about the Purifiers wouldn't they be a more adequate equivalent.
! They would but they barely show up enough for me to remember them. Biggest story role I remember them having off the top of my head is in X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills. Which was decades ago. Although it is easily THE X-Men story about mutant prejudice throughout history.
And lol excellent sig.

! Are you guys just going to ignore the Hate-Monger?
! Or is that cheating because he's literally Hitler? -
! Are you guys just going to ignore the Hate-Monger?
! Or is that cheating because he's literally Hitler?! We're talking about hate groups, not hate criminals in general. It's easy to list names at that point. Red Skull, Bolivar Trask, Willis Stryker, Magneto in his villain homo superior-ity complex heyday, Swarm, Gorr the God Butcher, maybe sort of J. Jonah Jameson, etc.
! I'm starting to realize how much we don't often see antagonist organizations focused around hate crimes in western comics instead of singular antagonists. Which I'm not complaining about the supposed lack thereof lol, but it's interesting. -
An arc starring the Villain League? Seriously!? Heaven sent, that's the only way I can describe it.

I'm still holding my breath on that. I bet we're cutting away from them at the end of the next chapter (prove me wrong Horikoshi, please).
-
I just realized Giganto probably has multiple quirks thanks to All For One.
-
Sign me up for a month of My Villain Academia. Actually make a spin off.
-
I hope the Giganto guy ends up being a rather deep character.

Just for clarification, did Twice slit a guy's throat with a tape measure?

@Count:

No way he did. Tape measures are really sharp!
-
So could someone explain to me why the Nomous are experiments? Can't Sylar just do it? Why is there a whole process to it? Or is the process just to make the person mindless?
-

If I remember correctly, AFO could create mindless slaves with two quirks before having the doctor in All Might first explanation, but Noumus are a improved version of that. The first Noumu (the anti-all might one) was drugged and had his body modified, so he could handle all those quirks. So maybe the only thing the doctor does is improving the chances of the victims handling more quirks and also making them phisically stronger with drugs, etc.
Then we have the High-Ends that would be the final version that still regain their minds, even though the one we saw was a little dumb.
All of this makes me wonder from where the hell are they taking so many people without the governement noticing, since each Noumu is at least the equivalent of two missing people and we have seen a lot of them.
-
I wonder if the doctor is Ujiko, the guy who posesses the black sludge warping quirk and helped Dabi to flee from Endeavor and Hawks. I mean he is a close associate of AFO, who also seemingly possesses the quirk. Was it ever fully explained if AFO used the quirk or if someone else did the warping back than.
-
^ Oh, wow. I just assumed a different nomu teleported Dabi away. The Doctor originally having the warp sludge quirk would be awesome.
@Count:

Twice has been watching way too much Project Runway.

And, I'll add the nomu can probably use the same quirks as long as the Doctor has a DNA/blood sample.

It was All For One. That Quirk has a weakness where the use can't warp if they have their arm injured, which happened with AFO.

O. M. G.
Spoilery spoiler! Possible hoax?! Movie 2 announcement! Sadly I still haven't seen the 1st.

! Well, seems I was somewhat right. -
I really enjoyed this chapter, and where this arc is heading.

! Quick movie #2 talk. I'm sure I saw a Japanese magazine scan uploaded online announcing it days ago. Probably confirmed by now.
! Another good chapter. Giganto is a walking tank and I love it. But, why was he going after that hero in Kirishima's flashback? Did AFO want that guy dead? I hope that's not just some throwaway thing.
! The art this chapter was on point. And, again, we see AFO is all about loyalty to the highest degree. Shiggy absolutely needs to be able to gather loyal followers like him. How he handles Spinner will be a test in how close he's getting. Love that spread with the Nomu. Special thumbs up to Captain Nomu and Dad Bod Nomu. Love the Doctor being straight up with Shiggy and keeping his identity secret. Keep the focus on the League, please Hori.! Well, seems I was somewhat right.
! Yeah, good job. A teleportation quirk makes sense for someone as secretive as the Doctor to have. And now we pretty much can confirm AFO and the Nomu are able to gain quirks without "stealing" them. More High Ends with League member quirks are coming!
! Second Chapter of My Villain Academia.
Female Nomu steals the post of best girl. Will the quirk erasing bullet and antidote bring The Doctor to their side.! That's what I'm thinking. That's gotta be like gold to someone like the Doctor.
-
! I'm digging this My Villain Academia side story. I think this is the longest we've had of villains doing their stuff without hero characters around.
-
! I really like that AFO´s subordinates aren´t acepting Tomura for free, that´s good for Tomura development. Also it seems that doctor likes Dabi, but maybe he only likes people noticing his work.
! I really like the doctor as a character so far, the fact that he was foreshadowed so long ago is great too. I only hope that this doesn´t mean that Deku had a quirk, but simply that AFO´s right hand works as a children´s doctor so he can identify nice quirks for AFO, since the official governement list must be hard to get. -

A thought I had was that Ujiko is how All For One knew Deku was the newest successor. Shigaraki's report following USJ made him suspect, but the Doctor, who would know Izuku was originally Quirkless and have reason to remember ten-odd years later given its rarity, is the one who confirmed "yep it's him"
-
! The little toe thing can't be manufactured or easily altered tho. If Deku ever saw a second oppinion, or researched it, as I'm sure he had, then a "huh, how weird that this kid with the physical marker for quirks doesn't have one, isn't it tragic?".
! They don't check his toes right now because "psha, look at his quirk! how can he be quirkless if he's this strong!"
! So I'd say he's just spying. -
!
-
! Need My Villain Academia to go on for as long as possible, very interested in it

! The drama with the doctor will most likely be about the victims that ended like Noumus / High ends, I don´t Hori will turn any known character in one, but it would be interesting and sad to see how some of them were as humans. -
! Be careful, Shigaraki. You don't want to upset Dr. Eggman…
!
! And thank God that My Villain Academia didn't get cut off with a BS cliffhanger ending where it started. I expect only one more chapter for this since Shigaraki can impress both Eggman and Leonardo in one chapter, but I would love to see a couple or more chapters up to present time. -
From the last chapter. The image of Shiggy eating reminded me that he probably always at least has to eat pinkies out or he'll just destroy his food. I like little details like that.
!
-
LOL
! CC really screw up showing his wife after labor photo. How many more explosive punches can he take?
-
Vigilantes 50 link
Did we know Wash had a…
! water quirk? Well, we do now. I want to call the bomb monsters Nomu, but I'm not sure if they were originally human, or even if that matters. And, just like with the Overhaul Arc, MHV is addressing something related to the main series' current arc. Pretty sure The Doctor will show up eventually, at least for a cameo.
! C.C.'s wife is best girl. You can tell they're married. Cap is screwed if Koichi doesn't save him. Hope he's been practicing his Kamehameha move. -
After having seen the official chapter, now I am wondering if Gigantomachia has multiple quirks or just one, going to trust the official one.
On the other hand, I didn´t notice the first time that Shigaraki was loooking at his other hands when the doctor asked "How are your father and the others?" I always thought the other hands aside from "Father" were fake.
-
We never did get an explanation for the hands did we?
-
^ Nope. And he rarely talks about them. I just assume they're what's left of his family.
After having seen the official chapter, now I am wondering if Gigantomachia has multiple quirks or just one, going to trust the official one.
He has multiple quirks. The Doctor was basically saying Giganto was a tough dude even before getting multiple quirks.
-
Well at least now I know what the Nomous are for. People can't take multiple powers.

! What the hell was that thing at the end?
-
! Three weeks of MVA, I’m happy with that. The Doctor sure is crazy, and makes sense he could still use the AFO’s teleportation quirk since it was implanted on the child nomu.
Damn Shigi’s backstory get more fucked up each time…
Also uncooperative Dabi just points him even more as being Touya.
Did The Monarch just crushed Gigantomachia? Was the blob supposed to be it? WTF!?
! Hori, I don’t ask for much, but please give us a whole volume o My Villain Academia.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

! I guess it is Giran's scarf, because we see Destro Jr. two panels later. And it seems there is a finger in it. Don't want to know what he did to him…or maybe Giran escaped with his so far unknown Quirk.
