@desa:
He wasn't back because he wasn't written out of the show in the first place.
Also for not wanting to be a superhero he ended up dead and the other one went back to superheroing. So I stand that you don't get to be on the show and truly retire. They are bringing him back and not put him back in his costume.

I don't mind if she's not related to Clark. What I would very much mind is the I want to bone young Clark's body. I'm never a fan of the only close relationship you can have with the sex you're attracted to is romantic or sexual. I want her and Clark to have actual relation either friends or resentment but definitely not romantic. And if you do it with Superboy it is tarnishing that relation.
Then again I don't like batman banging Batgirl and possibly getting her pregnant so maybe I'm just grumpy and I should be fine with the trend of mentor and mentee really want to bang it out.
And if they want to do it they better own up to their incest idea rather than copout on technicalities to live out their fantasies.
I mean, damn, dude, that's way more psychoanalyzing than I would think is necessary. I just figured a genuine Kryptonian or pseudo-Kryptonian joining the team would be someone Connor could emotionally bond with more since Superman isn't really into being a father figure for him (I really hope there's an opportunity for Clark to turn Bruce's advice back on him if Damian is in the picture). Possibly someone who might understand the physiology enough to solve Connor's non-aging issue (if she grew up in that technologically advanced society and knows how to use that kind of stuff). It's long odds but a character like her can create a lot of conflict, but also a lot of resolution, so I think it would be fun to watch the struggle and be satisfied with the payoff in the end. It needn't be sexual or even hint at it. Them having awkward feelings if they do happen to be related would just be funny, but I wouldn't prefer that to her being more like her S:TAS version.
@Robby:
They already did a triangle with Martian, Superboy and Lagoon Lad, I'd hope they wouldn't run that again.
Static was a comics character before he was a tv character. Along with all the other Milestone characters, but he's pretty much the only one that got promoted to main DC player.
Raven, Starfire and Cyborg might be off limits because of the other Teen Titans shows and movies. Yeah they got in Beastboy, but he had a long history pre-Titans and all the other Titan media was off the air at the time.
LOL, Lagoon Lad was so unremarkable I forgot all about him til you mentioned it. Something with more recognizable characters would have been way more meaningful, especially if the tensions were extreme and the level of power between the rivals is such that any fight would not be easy to call. I don't know for sure but I'd have put money on Superboy mopping the floor with Lagoon Lad if they were to fight to decide who gets M'Gann (without the patches that make his full Kryptonian power emerge). But between Miss Martian and Supergirl? Much closer fight, so the intensity would be far greater. I do kind of want something akin to Superman dropping all his precautions at the end of JLU and just pummeling the crap out of Darkseid even if it means causing Dragonball Z levels of collateral damage, but I doubt a lover's spate would be enough for that. So hopefully them dealing with Apokolips will give them that opportunity.
I didn't know that about Static, interesting (wasn't really a comic reader, most of my experience with the lore is from the shows and movies). But probably if not for the show he'd have been left to obscurity. I am glad to see him here, though. Hope he gets more attention this season. Is it possible his JL mentor would be Black Lightning, I wonder?
@desa:
I could see Cyborg being off limits because justice league but I would expect Raven and Starfire to be fair game.
Maybe not as his younger, B-team age self, but he could still be part of the JL rather than YJ group since the JL is still a big part of the show (although I'm wondering if they'll be downplayed this season). Though I'd rather see the original Titans lineup all as part of the younger group, even if only as a flashback to when they first came onto the scene.
