Yeah…Soma is definitely going to face Tsukasa for the final round.
I just hope it's not a solo match because that would be the most awful shit ever.
The main 4 vs Tsukasa & Rindou as the grand finale is acceptable for me & make sense with the ~~last minute~~ build up of the main 4 for this arc.

As for the next bout, Soma vs Eizan will most likely happen again (ugh).Takumi vs Momo is a possibility…

It seem weird to question this now...but I still don't get why most of the E.10 support Azami & what benefits do they get in return. In fact, they 'suffer' under Azami's rule as they have to listen to what he said. They are just lackey for Azami to reach his main goal of ~~boning~~ getting Joichirou. They are also doing a great job of making everyone hate them…
Is it Azami's financial backers that convinced them to join up with Azami?? I guess we will never know since everyone will be friends at the end of this arc & everything will be forgotten.

The author is the least subtle when it comes to giving hints but most of E.10 motivation for supporting Azami has been so vague...
I wonder if the author even know himself...
I have seen fan's interpretation and they kinda make sense but there is very little hints in the actual manga...

The elite ten were offered just to keep their old benefits, while gaining even more say so in what the rest of the school learns.

I'd guess learning what didn't sit well with Koga and no3 would be good as well

Yeah, the motivation never was really clear, even for those we can kinda guess
(Rindou does it for the drama and the fun, but in the end it just works because the story does not make any sense; normally the rebels would have just been kicked out without any way to fight back and the new school system would be far more bland and boring then before)
(Eizan does it for the money, but would the restriction in regards to gourmet food not totally destroy his businesses? He should be actually in the rebel camp from a purely commercial POV)
(Nene values tradition, but doesnt Azami just does what he wants, destroying the age-old academy with seeminly arbitrary laws?)

Well, for Tsukasa we already know pretty much: he's a younger Azami. He worries about the quality of food when others help, thinks he is way superior and trusts only his own handling. Any less than his standard is unworthy in his eyes. Rindou is a wild card, she loves overthrowing things, causing chaos and experiencing new events. Acting as an exterminator of rebels and overthrowing the world of cuisine is…well, quite up there. The three newcomers all fought for their place, reasons could be as simple as more benefits or a minor fear of expulsion/Azami.

The rest is still in the game, so we have time to learn more.

A bit exaggerated, but yes. Physical fatigue is bad enough, if you also put mental fatigue on top of that, the toll that weighs on your body is quite heavy to say the least.

tfw you can make it through training camps and cooking regimen on insanely low rest and stuff like that for several school years or can defeat dozen and dozen of people in several consequent duels but suddenly need to take a rest after 1 duel cause it's convenient.

Azami didn't break anything about the established logic of SnS world as much as people seem to wrestle with that, when you're the head of an organization with unlimited resources and don't give a fuck about the students that don't adjust to your philosophy it's very logical.

But this fucking makes 0 sense with anything established before of fatigue being an actual real factor. Soma won against I think copy guy on 0 sleep. He basically had almost no rest against Kuga. The resort camp put them under similar circumstances. We just had soma battling endlessly against 3rd seat. This somehow suddenly being a deciding factor is trash story telling.

who even fucking cares at this point Soma will win in the end waow I'm pretty sure we're getting into bleach stockholm territory where people will stick around cause they already put so much time into it.

When was the last batch of chapters with actual character development it's just been low stakes shit tier tension building cooking battles for like 50+ chapters now. Hope this gets cancelled so the guy can make something better.

I think that cover is exactly why I still come back to this series. I may have problems with pacing and how character focus has been put on the back burner in a way. Despite that you get great moments, whether it's just great cooking moments, character moments, humor, or something else that I like. Rindou represents what I still like about the series, moments of cool, being quirky and funny, and all around an enjoyable character. I wish the rest of the Elite 10 could have even 20% of the personality and charisma she has.

Also, other guy may be #1 by title, but I'm 100% convinced she is the true #1, and this cover confirms it.

Alright, getting some focus on Megumi, so happy about that. Not sure what to expect of this session which Megumi had with the French chef, but if I had to make a guess it will be making a dish to satisfy the guy, basically redo what happened during that little fieldtrip and regain some confidence. Though I was under the impression that after the shokugeki, Megumi basically came out stronger from that. Sure, she was easily outclassed, but with high caliber chefs complimenting her she was able gain some confidence. I don't remember having any negative feelings towards the chef either once that was all over. Still, him coming to help Megumi in some way is pretty neat.

I did enjoy seeing how the various people were dealing with the up coming battle, and the character interactions were fun to see. Overall a solid chapter, and hopefully we can have a bit more focus on these battles.

The comparison of the warehouse to the IKEA was the best part of the chapter for me. I was thinking it looks like IKEA and Takumi said what I was thinking.
