I noticed that the insert song used in episode wasn't the original version of the ending song memories, it was the 17 years later version.
Just a little neat detail that I thought is worth sharing here.
I was in the middle of listening to the Big Mom's Concert Album, and suddenly found myself researching Shiro Hamaguchi accredited soundtracks (once again in my life; even though I think Kohei Tanaka is solely responsible for said Concert album), and saw, "Heh, his first major work of original compositions was the video game Ehrgeiz, I never knew that! I had a friend really into that game, so I should really look into the soundtrack and feel what he felt all those years ago."
I looked for YouTube videos, even started listening to some of the video game Ehrgiez music, and wondering why the titles were completely different. Anyway, it's the anime with the same name, that Shiro H. worked on. The first few in the following ZIP file have extremely strong similarities to One Piece music. Currently listening to the rest, am sure there will be more strong ones in there. (I found the whole OST on ffshrine forums, but only included SH's contributions here.) Anyway, enjoy your favorite style of music, but different, and two years before One Piece:

It's Hiroshi Kishidani's voice, by the sounds of it, so at the very least he sung it. Every source I know about also mentions he did the music… The lyrics, however, are obviously meant to be sung from Shanks' point of view, however, to my knowledge, that's all the connections the song has to him.

The 20th Anniversary Best Album Limited Edition comes with a Blu-Ray containing the first episode and the first episode from the timeskip, along with every previous opening sequence. Not bad for the price.

It was Bandai Namco's and Koei's {some taken from Pirate Warriors] outsourced and internal sound teams that worked on Burning Blood, but it does fit well to the anime BGM.
World Seeker might be the first OP game with original music by Kohei, but I couldn't imagine him doing the entire soundtrack.
Kohei Tanaka's done a handful of video game soundtracks in his career (Gravity Rush 1 and 2 being the example that immediately springs to mind) so I wouldn't rule it out at all.

Learning that the man behind the Gravity Rush OST was the same one that did the OST for One Piece was a total "Oh shit" moment for me. Made so much sense in hindsight.

It explains how there are over 200 recorded tracks for One Piece and this box set is condensed.

Nope, it's missing a lot. Glancing at the track list, it's missing the material from the Brook CD (the new Thriller Bark era tracks including all the variations of "Binks's Booze" and Brook's eyecatch jingle), most of the movies (including the entirety of Movie 8, Z, and Gold - though those last two were inevitable), and the Whole Cake Island CD that came out in 2017 (and of course the rest of the arc's unreleased music remains unreleased).
TL:DR - It's a compilation of all four Music & Song Collection sets + the New World soundtrack and a sampling from Movies 1-7, 9 and 10. Not the entirety of the OST, not by a long shot.
