I liked how Universe 9's God of Destruction showed sympathy while the Supreme Kai is, well, a piece of shit :D
Good fight, hoping Gohan won't disappoint us.

While I'm kind of dissapointed that they didn't go with the weird ways that Buu reconstitued himself during his run as a villian (the cloud and the miniBuus) this was very good.
The thing that bothers me is what are all these people figthing for? We know Goku's (extensively - because fighting) Gohan (to save the universe) and Buu (because satan asked me to). But the other guys are fighting to overpower and kill people?
The gods probably didn't tell anybody about the erasure, goku found out by being there after all.
Making ALL reasons to survive makes this a very monotone tournament if it goes on
None of the gods know about the real stakes of the tournament at the moment with exception universe 7.
The Grand Priest is keeping the erasure thing a secret for now, he only told to Goku and the others because Goku is friend with the Omni-king.
And Toppo is stated to be a super hero full of justice and as candidate for next GoD
Toppo hype is immense… But this let me asks... What about the buffed alien guy... They are in the same team and we see him fighting Goku... So is he maybe even stronger?

Rou wanted $$$$$$$, thats all we know.
I noticed the writers are taking ideas from One Piece.
Basil using Sanji fighting mode, and for some reason the Pride Troupe kinda reminds me of the Chinjao pirates.
Chinjao was said to be a big shot in his prime, Toppo was said to be a Hakaishin candidate.
Alien would be Sai in this case, meaning he will surpass Toppo.
That first fight really felt like something out of DBZ! If they can keep the pace up, Toei could really make DBS worth watching.

He hoped in vain.
Only con about this amazing episode was the lack of 17
I really liked that battle, and it goes to show that you don't need Goku or Vegeta to be U7's ace - Buu is pretty tough to beat.
.
Only when he's being protected by the power ot plot.
Man I love those gods and angels. Time to check their wiki entries.
I hope Gohan dies. So his father will maybe learn how reckless his behavior is.
Im not ruling out Gohan dying, they could revive him with the dragon balls quickly like they did it with Piccolo in FnF.
Given that this fight is under Zenos Rules, I see Rou helping Lavenda defeating Gohan.
well he's a park ranger
that's pretty cool
plus it's been SO long since he's appeared in anything that wasn't just game story retellings. Out of all of the [artifical humans], 17 probably got the least amount of development compared to 18 or even 16, but then Toriyama changes him being just a two-bit punk to "hey, he's married and is a ranger!"
There's potential for some interesting moments. Being on the same side as Goku/Piccolo + finding out his sister married Krillin and had a little girl. Didn't seem like the two kept in touch after the Cell stuff.
We know that actually.
Q6: Where’d Artificial Human No. 17 go after the Cell arc, and what did he do?
He works in the wildlife preserve area of a gigantic royal nature park, as an outstanding guard who doesn’t hold back against poachers.
It’s an ideal job for No. 17, who loves to be on his own and isn’t big on cooperating with others; since he’s so good at his job, he takes in a high salary. He’s married to a zoologist; they have one child and two adopted children, and live happily in an isolated house inside the nature park. He went and met No. 18 and Kuririn one time, but didn’t talk about what he’d been up to, maybe because he considers such a wholesome lifestyle embarrassing.
Why do we like 17 again?
Because he is awesome in design, in his character and he is a motherfucking ranger… Further more he was absent for so long and now back in the main cast... That can let us forgot about the shit they have done to him in GT
We know that actually.
That's the equivalent of having Oda reveal something via SBS. Now, through the anime itself…
We know that actually.
So he's moved from killing guys his sister's into to brutalizing poachers sounds legit.
Next episode I expect Gohan to be like.
Ah, so we like 17 for possibilities in storytelling and fun moments. Thought I missed something in the actual series so far.
Are we having a Best of 3 battle format for the preliminaries?

What did they do to him in GT?
Hah…What? How was there another 17?
Dr. Gero teamed up with a GT villain and built a second Android 17 while in hell and then sent it to the surface world for shenanigans.

Ahhh….I forgot Hell was an option to pull villains from lol.
What did they do to him in GT?
Already answered… But do nevr watch this arc... Worst in history

Apparently Satan gave them raw materials to work with.
No seriously, how do you "build things" in Hell?

Mr. Satan would never aid villains like that
Apologize at once!

If heaven can have golden gates and angels playing instruments why can't scientists be allowed to build cyborgs in hell?
Preview of 81 is out… can't post it cuz I'm at work... but here the most interesting part
! it says that if Bergamo wins Zeno says he won't wipe out the universes at the tournament.
! But now this becomes really strange… How do they know about the rule if only Goku was told... Further more... What if Goku gives no fucks and instead still wins cuz he is so in the fight... or will Bergamo throw the fight that everyone will eb against U7.
! Holy shit
! If Goku doesn't throw that fight, the shitstorm is going to be amazing.
! A more "positive" prediction: Goku throws the fight, but universe 9 is destroyed anyway.
! If Goku doesn't throw that fight, the shitstorm is going to be amazing.
! A more "positive" prediction: Goku throws the fight, but universe 9 is destroyed anyway.
! Or maybe there will be said that Goku has to do his best and if he trhows the fight U7 instead will be destroyed or something
Furhter more nw titles for next episodes
!
I'm mad cuz there will be a break at March 12 and Ihave to wait one more week for 17 =(
! Well, according to the titles, the team is formed so Universe 7 is probably going to be okay.
! it says that if Bergamo wins Zeno says he won't wipe out the universes at the tournament.
! this totally puts Goku on the spot, would he actually say "well I'm gonna win, we can just wish back the other universes gaiz"
! On the flip side, why would Toei even entertain the idea of Zeno changing his mind so soon. It's what gives the arc enough tension to begin with. Take that way and I'm actually a little less interested.
! Alternate Theory: They tie and Zeno decides only destroys half of the losing universes, but U7's half has their planet + Namek in it
Noob question: Why are the universes threatened with destruction, exactly? Is it just in order to create stakes for their own sake, or is there some reason beyond that?
That's actually a thing to defend Goku's character on. He doesn't actively want any universes destroyed, he's still a good guy - he didn't think this would happen because Zeno seemed like a "good guy".
It's apparently the Zenos that made that decision, though nothing has been spelled out.
! The Zeno "excuse" won't be much of an excuse if Goku chooses a fight over the fate of a universe, tho. Can't help but wonder why the Toppo dude will get involved, either. Curious about the story's direction. Could be really good or really bad.
@Daz:

Leaning towards the former I suppose.
Although earlier parts of the story show just how wanton and willy-nilly Zeno is with just wiping out entire universes, despite his childlike appearance. Could lead to a whole "this Omni King is dangerous, we need to stop him" thing, but now I'm worried that this tournament will just be a straight-forward strongest contest. Which is fine, but not as exciting.
Tables are turned now. Seems all the people complaining about Goku endangering Universe 7 should be satisfied.
I like it. If anything it highlights just how dangerous Zeno is.
Meanwhile U6 can't possibly be rated that much higher than U7, but who knows…
I need a chart of the gods and universes and which were ranked high and low now lol.
That explanation does at least make it not Goku's fault if they were going to destroy the low end univereses anyways. I'll accept that.
Yeah, I'll take that explanation about the erasure of universes, as well. Still wish his overconfident and air-headed nature would be addressed somehow, tho.
I love the energy of these episodes so far. Even if they don't look the best (tho there have been some good moments), that fight was really exciting.
The arc's off to a great start so far.

I think the power thing was meant for the twin universe, like 1 and 12 being above level 7, 6 should be the same or around the same as 7, but if they are taking general population to access the power level of the universe, just because most of the universe 7 team was stronger, it doesn't mean the general population is, they actually have saiyans for example, which even if they are more civilized should be stronger than the general untrained human being.
–----------------------------------
Sure we got that explanation from the priest, but still, whoever is writing this damn anime is making Goku really unlikable, he was naive and dumb, but never unlikable(to me at least). I'm actually enjoying the anime a bit, I didn't like the two arcs, and I found the future arc really stupid, this arc won't try to do over complicated things and end up feeling stupid, so I'll enjoy the fighting.
Goku basically not really being able to take the blame for Zeno destroying universes probably means we'll never get a moment where Goku needs to address his constant need to fight. I mean he hired a assassin on himself because he wanted a challenge. But nothing really came of that.
Beerus is right, Universe 7's weakness does fall squarely on the Supreme Kai's shoulders. As a God of Creation, it's his job to create planets and cultivate the universes power level to a respectable standard. Beerus being asleep for decades at a time should actually make his job that much easier, so I don't know where he gets off blaming Beerus for not destroying the piss weak planets and lifeforms he's created.
Also, dunno if you guys remember, but after the BoG film Akira Toriyama rated Goku's strength a 6, Beerus a 10 and Whis 15. I wonder if the Zen-Oh's and Daishinkan are using the same power level system Toriyama used for the movie?

That's just a Saiyan Saiyan'ing. He's been this way since chapter 1.
Mortal level =/= power level
