For people that don't know, the anime filler ended this week, next week we're going back to canon!
I loved this filler arc, it was so well done, even the ending was pretty good.

Yes at long last. I hated this filler. So so much. It pretty much had every trope I barely tolerate. I really wished Xeno and Lilith got the Poochie treatment. A guarantee they can never return.
They will return, is pretty much foreshadowed, and it will be glorious!

this isn't such a good sign. the manga barely has room for the anime to adapt and as such things will definitely be more dragged or more filler content of cannon material. personally, i rather the filler arcs so we can skip them at our leisure and keep canon with no sprinkles of filler at all. this is also why i prefer seasonal anime adaptations. i really, really dislike toei.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
not to mention the author has his own illness to deal with and so more breaks will be coming giving way to less chapters for the anime to catch up. i really dont see this as a good thing at all.
I kinda figured they'd finish up the rest of the B-rank battles and end off the anime in March with a cliffhanger of around chapter 122-123. Or they could contrive a shitty ending like they did with the Toriko anime (shudder). I mean, there's just not enough material there to keep going like this.
Though we are talking about Toei here.
Not only was said that World Trigger would get a 2nd year. 2 years is in the minimum 84 episodes, ending in March is 72 episodes. To reach chapter 122-123 it will take a little more than March.
Also if it World Trigger gonna end before the Spring Season then right now Toei already needed to have presented a new TV anime for the slot. There is no such series, except Sailor Moon Crystal 3rd arc(2nd season), something that almost certain will not air in TV at 6h30m of the morning.
If the author doesn't get another breaks again(or if Toei adds some original episodes in the middle of canon arcs to offset the breaks), Toei Animation will have 22 more episodes with normal pace of 2 chapters per episode(around chapter 148 of the manga). That will provide 85 episodes for the series, and the promised 2 years.
With the return to anime canon material, World Trigger has established 3 big collaborations with:
HMM - http://hmm.tokyo/laforet/WORLDTRIGGER/
Animate Cafe - https://cafe.animate.co.jp/collabo_cafe/2833/?place=2648
Sanrio - http://www.sanrio.co.jp/special/kuji/worldtrigger-atarikuji/
I hope this gets a little boost to the series popularity.
I love World Trigger. We're getting such intense chapters right now. And man, the neighbour triggers really are something else, I wonder what we will get to see once we're actually in the neighbour dimension. I still think the expedition ship is getting destroyed, too, but right now both sides seem pretty even. It's probably gonna come down to usage of the cannon trigger because Kou can only block one more shot, assuming that he manages to do so again of course.
I think we gonna have towait around ch. 200 before we get to the neighbour dimension. Our team is still a long way from being A rank and expedition force members.:c
I like how Galo seems to have a focus on shields and backpack triggers and working with shapeshifting abilities yet they are surprised to see invisible triggers like Kazamas. I wonder if that rocket gun of Gatlin will have a little trouble to fire steady due losing one of his four sword limbs which he used to keep his gun steady.
@Miss:
I'm starting to think I'd rather read World Trigger in volume form because I don't want to feel all the hype for the next chapters. I hope the ship doesn't get destroyed because I'm really looking forward to the neighbour world arc. But somehow I feel like Yotaro will end up screwing things up somehow and the ship is going to be destroyed.
World Trigger continues to be awesome with just the secondary characters alone.
Yeah, I like that we don't need MCs to have good fights or that we need them for the story to proceed or that it looks like everything resolves around them.
I kinda want the ship destroyed because both Osamu and Chika gonna need a lot of time before they are A rank material, but I also don't want it to be destroyed because then that would mean a whole year of not meeting Rinji, Replica and ofc the kidnapped students and people. And that would most likely not be good. Plus we don't know how long Yuuma got left before he kicks the bucket. Would suck if he died before the expedition mission.

Yeah, for a Toei filler it was pretty okay. Have seen worse.^^

But wasn't the 2nd season supposed to have another 48-50 episodes like the first season? 85 episodes are a bit short on that number.

More popularity is always nice. And WT can need every ounce of popularity it gets. Heard its games are pretty popular in japan, same with merchandise of it. Dunno how big those sales are though.

85 is my assumed minimum number of episodes, of course if they can add some filler(maybe even filler arcs) or original content in the canon it can be made longer. It all depends of what the studio want to do with the series.
World Trigger Smash Borders has right now more than 3.5 Million downloads. I don't know if that is much for those kind of games

what just happened? seemed liked the thing copied her attack?
http://mangafox.me/manga/world_trigger/vTBD/c129/1.html
There you have the scanlation. Quick as hell
what just happened? seemed liked the thing copied her attack?
You mean the intercepted attack from Kuroe by Yomi's Idra? That wasn't a copy move, that was just Yomi being upperawesome and single handly showing the weakness of Kuroe's Idaten move (which is also why Yuuma probably won't take it due its low controlability compared to Grasshopper) and using that weakness against her by putting swords in her way to cut herself open as she rushes past the Idra.
As effective as it was simple if you ask me.^^
I bet this will be the case where Kitora gonna earn the respect of her tsundere Kouhai albeit I doubt Kuroe will give her said respect just like that. Wonder why Kuroe is always so cold towards Kitora though. Probably a boy reason if I had to put a bet on. xD
She is cold to anyone, not just Kitora in special.
Great chapter, its one of the many reasons i really love WT: Here we have someone at long last revealing her power (at least I was looking forward to see it) and it was just countered like nothing. And not, because Kuroe is bad or useless as side character its just thats how the world works there.
Their real problem though is, that no matter how many of the controlled trion soldiers they take out, they somehow have to go for the controller itself for that to work.
Honestly, as often as they repeat how inferior they are to the main aftokrator team and how they have to use stealth and all these trion soldiers, these guys definitely dont compare too badly with the aftokraptor black triggers.
Next chapter is likely going for the two fights shown in the last page and then maybe to that last non occupied neighbour. Miwa/Yoneya dont appear to have any problems and the enemy trigger is largely defensive, but then both are the only ones engaged currently who already had their time to shine in the last invasion arc, so maybe they might actually lose. Nasu on the other hand definitely needs some helping hand. Cant see her winning that fight alone even when the female neighbor was not exactly overwhelmingly threatening so far (but was said to be really strong, so a middle B rank shouldnt be enough). I do like Nasu so I hope someone will help her before she is defeated. Kageura maybe?
Edit: (P.S: Thinking about it, Toma did nothing in the invasion arc either -if i remember correctly- and that would be a great time to show why he is No4 Overall to sneak behind the enemy lines and take out the controller)
Guys explain something to me. A few chapters ago Jin used fujin, that's a black trigger. But I thought he gave it away to kei Tachikawa long while back?
If Jin got it back then tachikawa is using a normal trigger and him dying is no big deal cuz he will auto nail out.
What did I miss?

Tachikawa isn't compatible with Fujin, Jin gave it to Miwa. Tough, after the Aftokrator invasion Miwa said it was better to let Fujin in the Headquarters to be used when needed by anyone. Jin also volunteered to teach every compatible Class A agent to be able to use it.
Wen is pretty darn good too. A very tricky figther. Too think she even changed that little detail on her trion body to fool the enemy when they try to go by what they remember from her original body. What foresight! Too bad such work is useless against Kikuchihara and his superears. xD
And Nasu finished her off with such a stylish looking Viper attack! Sweet! <3
So Wen is about to be captured/got captured. How do the Galos rescue her or how will Wen escape back to their ship? No loses also means nobody left behind as prisoner, right? So they must have a plan or equipment for situations like this one.Next fight is Keskero vs Miwa and Yoneya and from the looks of it Keskero is on the losing side. And Hyuse has well as Yotrau&Rajinmaru have yet to enter the battlefield making this all much more messier.
Nasu's final smash is something I really would like to see well animated. Wen still thinks her mission objective is met so I think Galos probably have a call back function or something to avoid their agents to end up prisoners of war. I hope Hyuse doesn't crash in the Keskero vs Miwa squad fight because if they find out Tamakoma let a prisoner run around free I'm pretty sure we lost all our chances of Hyuse joining Tamakoma 2.
Every chapter has been amazing lately.
When the rank war against Nasu was over I wished we would see more of her later. I got more than I wished for. That attack was amazing.
I still think it's possible that the Galopoula soldiers will become allies and turn against Aftorkrator when this arc is over.

Yeah. that move looked so sweet. <3
Hope the 2nd season gets that far though I kinda doubt it.
The Galos have pretty tough trion bodies tough. Just look at the wound Wen has and her body is cracking but not breaking yet, damn. She probably has inner shields for her trion core like Shinoda does.
AS for Hyuse I think it all depends on who he attacks during this battle. If he destroys some Galo Idras/Reggie, dude's as good as in. If he attacks Border agents he's done for.

Yeah, Nasu's one of my fav girls of WT as well despite the short time she has been shown so far. But her being a sick/sickly and apparently mostly bedridden girl in her real body while she goes all house-jumping trion-cube flashing in her trion body is a stark and interesting contrast. Like you got the feeling if she could she would stay in her trion body all day long. She kinda has this fragile and beautiful but also strong and flashy character to herself which I like.^^
Though I'm sure that I read in Ashihara's data trivia about the Nasu squad room for their team to come together that Nasu got an own room with a relaxing chair in which she tends to relax in nude. And I was like "whaaaaaaat" when reading that part. Came outta nowhere. XD
Also seems like last chapter made it as this chapter spoiler article in the youth health magazin: http://www.youthhealthmag.com/articles/36291/20160202/world-trigger-chapter-130-spoilers.htm
@James:
Wen is pretty darn good too. A very tricky figther..
Tricky yes. She seems to be great support, but sure was a disappointing fighter on her own. All the opportunities she had to get some hits, and all she managed was causing some cuts. She didnt seem to be able to cause any serious damage at all.
I agree with you that this Viper attack at the end was awesome.
@Miss:
Wen still thinks her mission objective is met
Thats the sad/funny part. She didnt seem to realize that she was only fighting half of a middle ranked B team. Nasu had no intentions at all to join the other fight with the top attackers where she would only be in the way. On the other hand, its Wen who should have been there to aid her two companions.
Translation's out: http://bato.to/reader#e3a3b636258c350f
For those who haven't read it yet, incoming spoilers below:
DAMN! Keskero got OWNED! XDDD
I really like his gel trigger, it's like liquid lead bullets without extra weight but extra slippery. I could see that used for some slime play.^^
Too bad he underestimated or even forgot about Jin's BT, now he's captured just like Wen. That makes two Galo soldiers down vs zero Border agents so far. Then again as long Gatlin succeeds in destroying or damaging the ship it is basically the Galo's victory no matter the cost.
Reiji's Full Arms mode is awesome! He looks like a Gundamn in human form! And dayum, his DAKKADAKKA is over the roof!!! That bulletstorm! Against that Torimaru's firearm specialistation Geist mode is kinda lacking. Still cool looking but lacking.
The Idras are getting done in and Reghi seems to losing his cool. I mean what can that guy do to prevent their lose outside the Border HQ if even Wen and Keskero got done in? Well, next chapter we probably gonna see what he has up his sleeve.
Kage's voice is pretty darn cool. Fits him perfectly. <3
And Chika's future husbando got an adorable and shy voice. In terms of VA quality WT really is good.
I worry about the battle rank war arc though. They never will have enough chapters for another 50 episodes season, so does that mean they gonna add another anime filler arc to it? Maybe like Lilith and Xeno returning for whatever reason? Or will they animate the Galo sabotage arc as well despite it not being finished yet?
I still find it funny that people mistake Kazama's age because he's so small.
@Miss:
I still find it funny that people mistake Kazama's age because he's so small.
I'm pretty sure he's the oldest of the 4.
I wonder what Tachikawa's plan is. Since he found out through Jin's foresight that he'd be defeated, maybe he's aiming to sacrifice himself and let Konami get the final blow in.
I feel like getting mad on Kazama's behalf at the enemies calling him the youngest.
I feel like getting mad on Kazama's behalf at the enemies calling him the youngest.
If that makes them underestimate him when they meet him for the first time then they gonna pay the price themselves. Besides due his short height Kazama is a target of small, cute things lover Kako. Every bad thing comes with a good thing. xD
I wonder if Tachikawa believes that him getting taken down from Jin's prediction means that Gatlin will aim his gun at him as Kou would still be around to block the 2nd shot if he aims for the gate.
Also I bet that Youtaro will run into Reghi next chapter. Either that or Hyuse finds Reghi first and then Youtaro enters and it becomes a clusterf@ck with Reghi trying to kill off the traitor, take a child hostage to force the Border agent's hand and Jin coming in to prevent that from happening.
Hi,
Does anyone know if the anime will still be going and be a long running show?
I'm keeping up with the anime and i'm really enjoying it.
Boy, wikipedia really helps when you read last 25 chapters after a long pause. So many characters, but it's amazing how Ashihara makes them stand out from each other. I had to go to wiki to remember who the guys are, but I can recall them almost completely after reading a few lines in the entry.

Don't know, but unless they do another filler arc soon it will have to stop.

Yeah, I like how we don't have any sidecharacters that gets introduced as really strong people just to be done in, either by MC&friends or enemies, and then never seen again. Or like be forgotten for a 100+ chapters to suddenly show up and have them say something that makes it seem they were doing something important off screen. Here we get to see that we don't need Osamu, Yuuma and Chika or even Jin to have great AND meaningful battles. But most of all I like the antagonists in WT, they are never purely evil or super evil or born evil or turned evil or whatever, they simply have their own goals and if their own goals happens to include raiding Earth then "no hard feelings, m'kay?". XD
Also new raw's out: http://www.mangamint.com/world-trigger-133
This chapter was great! Kazama pulling a Yuuma was nice, shows that even pros take over tricks and tipps from others.^^
Also LiveTranslation is going on right now: https://desustorage.org/a/thread/137888375/
I wonder what Tachikawa's plan is. Since he found out through Jin's foresight that he'd be defeated, maybe he's aiming to sacrifice himself and let Konami get the final blow in.
Not bad, not bad
The chapter was okay. I did wonder, why they couldnt defeat them much sooner. They were against some straight direct triggers without hidden or unpredictable functions. If Nasu can more or less deal with her opponent on her own, then Tachikawa and Konami should have been able to defeat their neighbor much earlier and not just after he reloaded his gun and by sacrificing one of them (then again Tachikawa wasnt serious at all)
I think the two neighbours -though defeated and cut apart- will unleash one final attempt to destroy the ship.
So the anime is officially cancelled :(
The article doesn't say as much. It's not official until they actually say the production will be discontinued.
It was going to get caught up with the manga soon, so it's no big deal. The anime also started off very poorly, which embarrassing production values. I hope the manga gets continued support since it's one of my favorites. Still waiting for an Ai Kitora figure to be announced.

I think that Border handled this incredible. No loses, ship's undamaged and they learned a whole lotta more about trigger capabilities with the illusion and hole creator thingies. All in all a huge success for Border and a big failure for Galo who have to fear how Afto will react to those bad news.
So the anime is officially cancelled :(
Was too be expected, either that or another filler story and we had no news for that the past weeks. Hope this won't be the final end of the WT anime and that it can get another season once there is enough material to do so. I mean, it was a two year long-runner, that's pretty unusual nowadays from what I see in the anime business.
Also raw's up, guys: http://www.mangamint.com/world-trigger-134
Pretty straight forward. Confirms Border's victory and a clean up so to say. Most important deal is Hyuse and Reghi as expected with Yotaro joining the talk and Jin watching from afar. Here's to see how Hyuse will chose. Given what Jin says it is 50:50 whenever Hyuse will go home or stay here. I hope he stays because with the way Osamu and Chika are currently they are no way A rank material nor are they neighborhood mission material. With Yuuma and Hyuse as agents though there is plenty good reason to get them on the ship as a team if Yuuma/Hyuse demands so for their help and knowledge.
That's not a raw, that's Korean….
So there is no chance for them to move it to another timeslot?
I don't consider that the anime is cancelled but just that it's taking a break like plenty of others in the past when they're close to catching up to the manga and hope to make a sequel. It's not like the anime will get an original ending making a sequel impossible with the few episodes left.
The franchise is now popular enough IMO to get a sequel in a year or two.
While I really liked this Galopoula arc, I can't wait to see Tamakoma-2 rank battle and see their progress before the inevitable recruitment of Hyuse.
So there is no chance for them to move it to another timeslot?
There is a chance, but is quite unlikely.
What is more interesting is if Toei will earn a new Timeslot from TV Asahi, because for a long time, decades, Toei animation always had at least 2 reserved timeslots in the channel, with this timeslot removal it will only get 1 timeslot. Maybe Sailor Moon Crystal 2nd season will air in TV Asahi and in the previous Timeslot(19h)?
So english translation of 134 is out for a while. Pretty darn good, Gatlin's a beast, still shooting despite being cut in half, love how he was pushed back due the recoil unlike before when he had legs and all 4 sword arms. Aftokrator sure is good at trion technology. They made a bail out trigger real quickly after fighting border and it worked just fine with the Galos. Reggie is the last Galo left standing and he meets Hyuse who wants to go back home, but ofc Reggie is paranoid and doesn't trust him. And trusts him even less after seeing Yotaro who came to give Hyuse back his Lampyris. His demand of Hyuse to kidnap Yotaro was stupid though. After all if Hyuse does so and they do take him back with them, that just means that they are going against the orders of Aftokrator to not help any of them on Miden if they find any there.
So not only did they fail their mission but also angered their lords due bringing back Hyuse.
Then again according to the data book Reggie has the lowest total points of all Galo soldiers there, thinking isn't really his strength it seems.
Apropos databook. Did ya know that Yuiga had lower points total than Osamu yet we all know that Osamu only won around 25% of their battles? Since Osamu is a bit better in skills and a lot better in special tactics it looks like it comes down to Trion in which Osamu has 2 and Yuiga 5. Btw Kitora has now 4, their trion is really low compared to the usual 6-7s that most agents have. Even Yotaro who is only 5 years old got 7 trion already! If his organ keeps getting stronger he gonna be a beast as an agent. And a whole lot of operators would have trion and total stats that would make them great agents! Guess they were those who realized that combat just isn't for them. And Chika's trion, omfg, it is 38! Frikking 38! That's more than Osamu's total points and even more than Jin in his BT stat and that one gives him like 30+ trion!
And all the spoiler stuff! Like Kako having a "Timer" trigger which is a prototype which probably can do something like slow motion in a certain area around the user? And the stats and background stuff to characters not even shown yet. B-14 for example has only a single agent who is a gunner and that he can stay in the middle ranks all by his own really speaks for his ability. Maybe he is the long rumored Nr1 of the gunners?
Heard the Viz translators wanted to translate all 388 pages but were stopped by their bosses because they think nobody would buy/read this in the western world. :c
Yeah it's a shame the databook won't be translated but I guess it's understandable. I've only managed to catch some glimpses of the databook fan translations on /a/ here and there at it sounds really interesting. Ashihara is really good at adding fun little details to make the characters feel alive, finding out about Kazama getting drunk with Suwa and getting into a fight with a mailbox was hilarious.

Okay that got my attention. I really hope the data book gets translated in french. It looks like it's my only chance at getting a physical copy of it.
i fucking love this manga….this was a nice little arc to get move things in the right direction. and to imagine, this all happened in what, a few hours? amazing. can't wait to see what tamakoma 2 has to offer in this next battle!!!
I love how this was handled. Hyuse (and ofc Yotaro, too) is such a sly bastard. He completely fooled that Galopoula guy into revealing their true intentions and knowledge, yet he didn't impair his own position in any way. Now Tamakoma is going to get another ace with a really unique and diverse trigger, capable of supporting all of them (heck, he could even set up kills for Mikumo). And Galapoula is really screwed right now, going back empty handed. Also, whenever Tamakoma finally makes it into the neighbour dimension, things are gonna be really interesting with Hyuse on board.
I don't think Hyuse will get to use his magnet trigger in the rank wars, that'd be too unfair
I don't think Hyuse will get to use his magnet trigger in the rank wars, that'd be too unfair
You're right, he will probably get a standard Border trigger, but maybe there will be exceptions in certain scenarios. Especially later on in the neighbour dimension, in which case the diversity of his trigger, as well as the ability to support, can't be argued.
It really is beyond me, why large parts of the fandom apparently want Hyuse to join them? Why? He was the most boring of the aftokrators and remained completely bland. He has no interesting trigger abilities and is just overpowered.
I though the rank wars were intended for teams to show their true strenghts. So we have individually flaws, still unrefined techniques, our cooperation with each other is not good enough, we havent had enough information of our opponents and didnt formed a good enough battleplan in the last fight, so let us all improv–--- oh wait no, lets add another superpowerfull guy to the team to win our battles for us.
Its bad enough, that they are already completely spoiled with getting all their techniques and support and help from others, now they also have to be given new teammates as well????
/rant
(its WT and its Jin we are talking about here, so I have still a lot of hope, that he will not announce Tamakoma2)
Can Hyuse really fight with border triggers? My guess is that he'll be a shooter since his afto trigger is mid range already. I mean Yuma had training with Konami before he joined and they don't have the time to do the same with Hyuse. I hope they won't just make him a genius right off the bat.
And yea, I also find Hyuse pretty "meh" right now. He didn't do or say anything to have me care that much about him. I'm more interested with what kind of talk Jin will have to convince Kido to let another neighbour into Border. I mean he raise enough stink about Yuma and Yuma was the son of his friend/coworker/former lover he had a tsundere crush on. Then again knowing Jin he'll convince them easily. He always seem to do things easily. I'm also interested in Miwa and other agent's opinion about this.
Good chapter to end this arc.
I'm wondering what Hyuse will have to do to be allowed to enlist and to take a shortcut to reach B-Rank immediately. His trigger ? His horns ?
Also, I'm guessing that he will be somehow impressed by his future captain's performance in the current rank war round.
IMO he will start as a gunner because I think it's the easiest position for him to get used to Border's triggers.
