unaware was also nerfed, it only in effect when you attack.

Pokemon Ultra S&M - Let's Minecraft Pikachu and Eevee Quest

Talonflame is fucked. That said, this game's pseudo legendary is gonna have a hay day.
-
Random sporadic commentary about stats
! - alolan Raichu is gonna be hella fast. 115 base speed and then that doubles in electric terrain. Horrifying. Eat that, pikachu.
- Salazzle is 100% female, meaning male salandit probably doesn't evolve. Pretty good stats too, and corrosion makes venoshock a horrifying prospect. Also has nasty plot for good measure. This is a dangerous one.
- That water/poison thing looks great and super bulky. The spider water/bug is also equally good and has great abilities for it as well. You guys said gamefreak doesn't like stall? I give you these two.
- Leech Life TM makes a ton more sense now. 80/100 makes it a downright useful move.
- lo and behold, beartic has slush rush and Vanilluxe has snow warning. Ice age incoming.
- Just began liking Masquerain after its stupendous moveset and performance in ORAS and now it got a stat boost. Awesome.
- LOL, and I had just began to like Mantyke after stellar Y nuzlocke performance, and now Mantine has an HP boost. Huh.
-
Talonflame is fucked. That said, this game's pseudo legendary is gonna have a hay day.
Except for of course, Fairy-Types.
-
Warning to everyone that the stat videos going around accidently swapped the version exclusitivy. For example it lists Drampa's location as only being in Sun, but it's actually only in Moon.
So does this mean Vulpix is Moon instead of Sun? I saw earlier in this thread it was Sun. Which one Vulpix is in determines which one I get.
-

The videos had Vulpix as Moon, so that means it should be in Sun. Which would fall in line with what was said earlier in the thread.
-

Sun:
Vulpix/Ninetales
Lycanroc Midday
Passimian
Turtonator
Solgaleo
UB-02 AbsorptionMoon:
Sandshrew/Sandslash
Lycanroc Midnight
Oranguru
Drampa
Lunala
UB-02 Beauty -
Sun wins every exclusive matchup besides Ub-02. Beauty looks like it's going to be an almost unstoppable sweeper in Ubers.
-
That's not too bad for exclusives. Is that counting all the other Pokemon too, or just the new ones?
I'm gonna need to get my hands on a Vulpix somehow after hearing about all these buffs to Ice stuff. My favorite type might finally be viable ;-;
-
someone posted the exclusives from past gens a couple pages back. I remember things like Sun having Lilligant and Primape, and Moon having Whimsicott and Hariyama. Can't recall the other ones.
And I'm getting Moon but definitely breeding the hell out of Vulpix as soon as I can. For one, I want a shiny one. Also wondering how viable it will be to get hidden abilities in this gen… a feature like that from ORAS would be nice, because Snow Warning is definitely a better ability than Snow Cloak.

@The:
Some typings and names for unknown Pokemans:
! Crabrawler's evolution is called Crabominable, and it's Fighting/Ice (NEW TYPE)
The sea anemone/urchins Pokemon line are named Mareanie and Toxapex, and are Water/Poison
The anchor Pokemon seen in leaks is named Dhelmise, and it's a Ghost/Grass-type
Ultra Beast 1 (UB-01) is named Nihilego, and it's a Rock/Poison-type (NEW TYPE)
The evolution of Wimpod is called Golisopod, it stays Bug/Water
Alola Diglett and Dugtrio are Ground/Steel
The weird "bubble spider" Pokemon line is Bug/Water-type, name of final evolution is Araquanid
Morelul's evolution is named Shiinotic, remains Grass/FairyThey are coming up with some great names this game.
@.access:
EDIT: Vulpix is a Sun exclusive as well. I suppose Sandshrew is its counterpart on Moon.
Goddammit!!
-
I don't have the ability to trade with others, so Sun it is for me.
I think this is the first time where it actually took more than 5 seconds for me to determine which version I wanted. In terms of cover legendaries it's a toss-up for me. I prefer UB-02 Beauty to UB-02 Absorption, but I expected Ultra Beasts to be available really late game when I already had a full team. I also prefer moon aesthetics in general to sun, but I actually don't like Moon's 12-hours ahead or behind (I forget which it is) for OCD reasons. Don't get me wrong, it's a neat concept and fits well with the Sun and Moon theme, it's just not for me personally. And since I want to use Alolan Vulpix on my team, Sun it is.
-
@Medical:
I don't have the ability to trade with others.
Any reason for this? Based on X and Y, we should be able to expect a lot of us here trading and breeding and all of that. But I guess maybe you lack an internet connection.
-
YES Vulpix is Sun exclusive! <3
-
At least there's pokemon to look forward to
-
Very disappointed that none of the Battle Tree cameos got rearranged battle music other than Red and Blue. Though I suppose *******'s theme is already perfect. The rest of the battle music is great though, excepting maybe the bipolar Kahuna track.
! Special shout out to the three Aether Foundation-related themes. I find it hilarious that in the end Lusamine is literally Ragyo from Kill la Kill just with the sexual abuse replaced with something more G-rated.
-
! Nekrozma, new legendary

! oh shit sprites for everyone
! Wait, the Alolan dex has Emolga, Blissey, and Clefable???? This is gonna be hard…
! EDIT: I need that cute bee pokemon! -
Think (95% sure) I'm going with.
Decidueye (grass/ghost)
Mudsdale (ground)
Vikavolt (bug/electric)
Salazzle (poison/fire)
Stoutland (normal)
Kommo-o (dragon/fighting)I like it… I like it a lot.
-
Prismarina
Rockruff
Tsareena
Mimikyuu
Sandslash
Kommo-o -
I'm back on planning my team.
-
When we saw Salandit's evo dex sprite I was hoping it was just a bad pose. But now we saw its model and how it moves… not a fan of it. AT ALL. So, despite how much I like Salandit, it's out of my team.
This part was easy to fix because of Mareanie (I don't think the in-game fights favor stall pokémon because the AI uses no strategy at all, but I am really curious about her). -
Then there is Drampa. I just found out you can only catch him in VERY late game (in the last parts if not the last part) and I don't want to have him in my team for, like, 5 fights before the game is over and not having him in the team is not an option. I will probably have to get one through trade (and then breed it to not have a over leveled one. So much work, goodbye immersion!)... the good part is, if I'll have to trade one anyways, I can go back to Sun as I wanted since the start.
-
And lastly, Rowlet. Still not sure if I want it in my team. I was planning on starting with it and getting a Litten later, but maybe I will just go for Litten since the start and having something else in its place (problem is I want a female Litten in the team and softreseting the game for a female good nature starter may require more patience than I have).
There is a lot of other I would like to have in my team: Fomantis, Passimian, Mudbray, Alolan Diglett, Mudbray, Cubone,... but I keep wanting Spinarak -_-
So:
- Litten
- Caterpie
- Wimpod
- Drampa
- Mareanie
- Rowlet?

I'm gonna play a game called "see how far a team of an owl and 5 bugs can take me"
-
I'm gonna play a game called "see how far a team of an owl and 5 bugs can take me"
are you me, because that is my game plan as well
Ghost Owl, Vikavolt, Ariados, Ribombee, Pinsir and Golisopod -
I'll be using Vikavolt, Lycanroc (Sun), Golisopod, Kommo-O, and Silvally. I'll probably have to run just Vikavolt for a long time, lol.
-
I'm thinking my final in-game team's going to be:
Incineroar
Lurantis
Ninetales
Starmie
Musdale
Kommo-oI get the feeling that aside from Ninetales and Starmie this team is going to be pretty slow, but that doesn't matter as much in-game.
-

Unfortunately, from what I've read

…. Looks like I'm running a 4 mon team, then.. Eff
-
So I was reading some of the new and revamped dex entries…
Jesus Almighty Christ, GF. You've gone too fucking far this time.
-
It's still hard to narrow down a team of 6.
For sure:
-Primarina
-Pyukumuku
-Lycanroc Midnight
-CrabominableStill Deciding:
-Ninetails
-Lurantis
-Oranguru
-Palossand
-MimikyuI guess I'll decide the last two spots based on when those pokemon are available. Maybe I'll finally be able to actually do a rotation this time.
-

Oh you think those are bad? According to the postgame (DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT MAJOR SPOILERS OBVS)
! the original non-remake universe alluded to in the Delta Episode exists and was destroyed by the Ultra Beasts and Looker and Anabel are amnesiac survivors who fell through a dimensional wormhole. No seriously.
-
You know what, I'm glad megas got banned from the Competitive. After finding out what the pokemon go through upon mega evolving I feel like not using one ever again.
Rotomdex HAS NO GODAMN CHILL!
-
But then no one would use Mawile…

Just realized that it also shows you the weaknesses of your team. Pretty useful!
Now I know things like it being probably useful if I have someone in my team running a dark type move to cover for ghosts and psychic.
-
I heard from trusted people that the difficulty has been amped up. Things like standard moves dealing less damage, certain pokemon being nerfed and even something about a previously useless move becoming TM and dealing 4 times more damage.
Can someone confirm that? Thanks in advance.

That's kinda a lot of generic statements, but I can respond about a couple
Nerfs that come to mind is Gengar no longer having levitate and Gale Wings being nerfed in some fashion (haven't followed up on it), which means Talonflame is effectively nerfed.
Lots of other changes happened, as well as buffs to lots of pokemon… I remember someone posted a link on these things a bit back. The move they speak of is Leech Life now having 80 base power and being a TM.
Can't answer about game difficulty, though being confused got nerfed (less likely to hit yourself I believe) which makes me happy since AS was a whole lot of enemies using confuse ray and swagger.

From what I've heard, the EXP system works like it did in Gen 5, where the amount you gain is based on how your level compares to the opposing Pokemon. So it's more difficult to overlevel, even with the EXP share.
I've also heard that some of the Totem Pokemon are surprisingly tough difficulty spikes. Such as:
! Totem Wishiwashi calls in Alomomolas that use heal pulse on it. And Totem Lurantis calls alies that use Sunny Day while it hits you with solar blades
And your right about "that" move getting buffed, but I don't really think that makes thing that much harder.
! Leech Life, of all things, now has 80 power, making it a stronger draining move than Giga Drain
-
! See I'm actually fine that Gengar lost Levitate, since…it's not floating. It seems as fair as that electro eel thing in Gen V having it when the model is always grounded.
! Leech Life with 80 power sounds orgasmic. -
I think this'll be the team I'll roll with. According to the team planner it's pretty well balanced.
-
The final battle of the "evil team" storyline sounds pretty rough too (gameplay, not story spoilers):
! Their whole team gets the Totem stat buff, and they've got some Pokemon that were pretty bulky to begin with.
-
Others probably noticed it already but while I was doing the team planning, I realized that this generation has a lot of Ghost types.
Pretty cool. -
Man I really can't wait for this game now. Soon, so soooon

The most useless move got a huge buff.

Can't believe it's a week away. So hyped, though I'm also starting to feel really edgy as I'm noticing YouTube recommending videos with in-game story thumbnails.
But to think we're finally getting there, can't wait to sink an unreasonable amount of hours into this.

Two weeks here, people are absolute dumbasses, even on 4chan where usually people don't give a crap about spoiling others, most people were respecting spoilers, then a day or two after idiots start doing threads with ingame pictures of important parts of the story I got spoiled on most of it without even opening the threads.
It's my fault I shouldn't have gone there anyway, but there are spoilers everywhere, reddit, twitter, friends, etc.

Game is about Generation 4 difficulty. Sun & Moon, that is.
Why? Because most of the people who worked on Generation 4 worked on this generation apparently. lol (This basically confirms to me that we will be getting a Generation 4 remake this generation, especially since you can connect some of the story elements of Sun & Moon to Diamond, Pearl, Platinum.
-
Gen 4 shouldn't be remade.
For one or as wasn't such a hot hit
Then it still playable in a 3ds
Then itself wasn't that coolThe one that would pull the most people is the nuclear option, red/blue/green/yellow. Again .
Or just go sun moon 2, sunnier and moonier.
-
A recommended video spoiled the E4 for me. Welp.

Not having the ability is probably an exaggeration. It's more of a combination of not really knowing how it works and having some weird but powerful social anxiety about doing it.
