@Count:
A double-sized chapter finale can switch things up, but I doubt that will occur if Bleach couldn't get one.
Toriko going to have 31 pages chapter on Issue 50.

…Okay then. Toriko got higher priority than Bleach. That's hilarious. XD

But, it doesn't have CP.
So, which one is higher priority? Final chapter with extra pages? Or final chapter with CP?
…I think that what's important to keep in focus is that they both lost in the grand scheme of things. Either of these things are just consolation prizes.
Toriko will need those 31 pages to complete the brand new space arc that will follow Acacia's defeat
! - Toriko puts some random elephant on his full course
I'm not even mad, or something like that.
So apart from Toriko the Heavenly Kings were useless in the final arc and did absolutely nothing. And I'm guessing the rest of Zebra and Coco full course will be offscreen.
! - Toriko puts some random elephant on his full course
That just about sums up this whole trainwreck of a finale.
And then, Zonge saved the world. END!

Oh god, this is getting worse and worse with every episode.
Just kill it already, cant you see its suffering?
Finally its ending. it was pretty much a disaster for most of this last part.
It's food luck… everything is thanks to food luck.
Man i love this self-aware manga, and i will truly miss it.
Lol the blue ingredient wasn't there but Toriko found an elephant!
That's like so backwards.
If things went the right way, we would still be at Blue Grill.
Come on now. It would have already ended, but we would at least be in the middle of a News or Earth arc.
Good grief, its even worse than I thought. Toriko didn't even eat the goddamn elephant.
"Oh, look! That elephant smells real good!"
"I can tell you for a fact that it is very tasty"
"Good enough for me! Onto the full course it goes!"
Ugh… I kept wondering to myself how NEO was going to be in the Full Course. I'm not going to lie that despite how rushed and abysmal this finale has been, having the final villain/strongest creature be Toriko's meat dish was a pretty damn cool idea from Shima. But I kept wondering how exactly NEO would become an ingredient. Wouldn't its body run out of meat after just one or two meals? Wouldn't it be completely destroyed by the end of the fight? What if it gets redeemed? Maybe they would pull some sort of Ougai trick with preserving all of the food Neo has eaten.
But nope. Like Daz said. Random elephant that Toriko didn't even taste for himself. Sure, it technically came FROM Neo, but it's still not Neo. Somehow this bothers me even more than the Heavenly Kings being useless because at least I prepared myself for that ever since their promised arcs of retrieving EARTH, ATOM, and NEWS were off-paneled while Starjun kept getting needless focus. Because you would think that even as rushed as this ending may be that Shima would at least still focus on tolerably decent showings for the protagonist's dream, his biggest hyped up ingredients. But both were disappointing. Not even mediocre.
If there was a rating system for Gourmet Hunter Full Courses akin to restaurants, I wish I could give Toriko's zero stars. No matter how entertaining it was to get the previous ingredients.
For all the rushing and just down right stupid stuff that has happened in the last bunch of chapters, it still got nothing on this weeks Fairy Tail chapter.
Trying to be positive for once in this thread, I will say the visuals of the food volcano and the different areas being revitalized by Midora was visually interesting. That and I can't hate on Zonge being the hero in a way in the end, because that's just hilarious.
Once again, in the end I am glad I read this series, but like Bleach it's sad to see what it became after what is used to be. Perhaps I shall reread the first half again at some point so I can relive those great arcs.

Unlike Bleach, Toriko wasn't a trainwreck for 75% of it's run.
This is the second chapter that White Oni has a dialogue, and the manga seems like it's ending. Somehow, despite how it's just been bad for a while, I still hope it continues. A new setting can reinvigorate interests.

Yeah, at least the painful parts didn't drag on for years. I had my problems starting before the gourmet world, but at least for a while there was stuff to be interested in and it was only this last fight that really didn't have much going for it. Even then the fast pace made it a bit more bearable. Also, the Bambina stuff was fun so I was able to stomach stuff for a while.
If I had to give my highlights for the Gourmet World saga, it would be:
-Heracles just decimating Toriko with a snort. Really gave a perspective at what kind of level they were on
-Everything that Bambina showed up in
-Yuda's little flashback
-The reveal of the various 8 kings
-The 8 kings beating the crap out of Neo Acacia
Don't forget Jirou.
For all my complaining I don't regret my time spent with the series either, and will instantly recommend everything up to and including Gourmet Casino.
Unlike Bleach, which was a big fat MEH of an ending, this one makes me so much more annoyed, because of how disastrously fast and hard Toriko wasted its huge potential.

Its gonna end by the next issue mate
Not sure how can it continúe if is being rushed

But…Gourmet Casino is not past Gourmet Pyramid.

I think part of the wasted potential was because the readers lost interest at some point for some reason.
But…Gourmet Casino is not past Gourmet Pyramid.
You are correct, and my statement has been fixed. Gourmet Casino was fine enough.
Bubble fruit arc is where I started to think things were a bit too fast and underdeveloped, Four Beast had a ton of wasted potential, and Cooking Festival was like a too-sudden too-complicated marineford wannabe. There were spikes after that in the two first Gourmet World arcs, then everything crashes and burns in Blue Grill, never to recover.

Basically, my views on this. . .but more to the point and less derivative than my analysis.
Daz has Gourmet Way With Words.
Komatsu was pretty epic in that Mochi Cooking and the Four Beasts looked awesome.
I guess having four parallels fight was hard to handle it.

I'd love to read your deriative analysis! Have you made it yet? Its so weird to have three disastrous manga endings so close to each other (Naruto, Bleach, Toriko), but its entertaining to analyze because they're so different.

Komatsu was pretty epic in that Mochi Cooking and the Four Beasts looked awesome.
I really liked the Root Vegetable 4beast too; its Michelin Man form, not so much.
I remember the cycle of dissapointment and optimism that arc;
"Wow, 4 super powerful cool-looking beasts that are perfect parrallels to the heroes! This is gonna be good!"
"Okay, those beasts were handled kinda quickly, but theres a Main Body coming up, its gonna be great!"
"Well, that was a bit weird and anticlimatic, but the true mastermind was the guy reviving the 4 beast! Look, Teppeis confronting him now!"
"So that didn't happen either, but omg Teppei is dead!!"
I'm not trying to mock anyone here, just to show that the arc definetely could've delivered more.

I don't see the "ending" in any of the announcements… Next chapter is the last?
Is there a chapter out somewhere?
One thing I have really disliked about these last Arcs is how Toriko just randomly found ingredients and added them to his Full Course without Komatsu even cooking them.
At least Midora got a proper closure. It really feels like he was the author's favorite character.
I'm sure going to miss Toriko. ~_~
Oh wow. That was ultra lame. Aside from the Zonge bit which was kinda hysterical.
Can't wait for Acacia, Ichiryuu, Midora, and Jirou to come back as Force Ghosts for the grand feast next chapter. I feel like Setsuno may as well as have gone with them if Shima decided to dig this deep into the whole "passing down to the next generation" theme like Naruto by having Midora die that spontaneously.
Also, the fact that Tommyrod and Grinpatch briefly returned this arc for ten seconds and got on the cover of Volume 41 gives me hope that maybe, JUST MAYBE, they'll show up in the finale. At this point, why not? Just credit it to Food Luck. If they show up, then I can at least somewhat…. stomach the final chapter.
!
I think you put something on the wrong thread up there Count.

See, it's a silly story because I posted this in the MHA thread first, then deleted that post and pasted it onto here. And my last comment in the MHA thread got combined with it. So… Sorry lol.

I still have no idea who those two other cooks are, or why they're on that cover.

Komatsu's underdeveloped friends from childhood, when they were poor and living in an orphanage or something. Otake and Namaume.
…Yes, I went on the Toriko wiki to look up their names lol. I can remember all the names of Big Mom's children thus far in the Totland arc, and yet these two chefs are near-nonexistent in my mind lol.

Because they hardly mattered at all. I think it's fine to not devote memory space to them lol.
Ah, Toriko.

Is this perhaps an Eric Andre Show reference?
Well, Midora's death was a blatant reference to Raoh from Fist of the North Star. (Then again, the same thing could be said for Midora vs. Ichiryu compared to Raoh vs. Toki)
I feel like the next chapter is going to be the last, going by everything wrapping up and the extended length. If I had to guess, it will be an "And the Adventure Continues" style ending, with the main cast going off to space to find greater foods. (And possibly a timeskip showing the next generation where Toriko's kid and Komatsu's kid are in a relationship, since that's so popular these days)
Yeah, Food Luck= Fairy Tail Plot Shield.
Zonge part was very funny,
RIP Midora, best character in the whole series.
I don't get why people like Midora.
I'm not as crazy about him as many others, but his tongue power looks pretty cool, he rocks the samefacey design a damn lot better than Starjun, and his emotions towards Frohze were probably the most relatable thing in the entire finale. Ridiculous planet abusing attacks are even cooler when you can engage with the emotion behind them. So theres that.
