But… they are on a mission to get their first road poneglyph, encounter the first emperor, find out that sanjis father wants to rule north blue and has a crazy bunch of kids, while half of the other sh is on their way to wano country and reverie bgins shortly - everything (in fact far more) in the past two dozen chapters. hell, what do you want and what do you mean by new developmens in the story???

Jesus Christ, do people really dislike that chapter so? I admit that the fight scene was a little underwhelming….but the flashback and everything else was great! Any self-respecting One Piece fan knows that if you want a bit of the 'ol ultraviolence, wait until the tea party/climax! The arc is moving toward a violent and enthralling climax, just wait it out, don't get all rustled because Sanji/Luffy isn't beating the shit out of the enemy lol. Everything can't be perma-violence especially in a story driven manga like One Piece.
Go re-watch Dragon Ball Z or something if you want constant fights. You'll appreciate confrontations more when you're emotionally invested.

I love Dragon Ball Z and Super as much as the next guy (but not as much as Oda loves DB as a whole), but the reason why I love One Piece like a guy on crack is because of the world building, the characters, the backstories and the buildup towards the climax. The series just wouldn't be the same without either component and it's what makes One Piece so engaging to read/watch.

First real fight chapter ive read weekly, it was a little hard to follow but I think that the gist of his attacks was that the electromagnetic attacks on his foot and spear were like tasers kind of but the impact came from what was imbued by it. Curious to see what powers his brothers might have, we already hypothetized poison pink had some sort of butterfly or moth zoan, Curious how much other tricks vinsmoke judge has though. Oh and my thoughts about this chapter in real time.

I am legitimately curious on what you mean by new developments now.
Extremely high-tech weapons, Sanji's backstory which has been hinted since East Blue finally coming to light, and him getting super dangerous handcuffs along with his relationship with his siblings, and hints of the ruler of the Germa 66 strength aren't new developments at all, it seems.

Doesn't seem to be an obvious gag, like with Duval and Chinjao. Fact that he was trying to fix himself with hardware tools is suspicious. Cyborg maybe? It wouldn't be anything too exotic at this point in OP, especially with a group obsessed with advanced tech.
Btw, I confused the names. I meant Yonji as it probably obvious. Doubt Ichiji could have used Armaments at that age and it doesn't seem they use Rokushiki. Tech improvements are out of the question for a body that isn't developed yet.

Sorry if this has been mentioned earlier but considering that Oda has watched Game of Thrones you can really see some similarities between how Judge treats Sanji and how Tywin Lannister treats Tyrion. Maybe he Oda had a little inspiration?
